Time passed, years moved in the void, and the training that Eternal Paragon promised Rhys had come to an end.
Rhys stood in front of Eternal Paragon who had a slight smile on her face, but she was feeling quite sad she'd be lonely for who knows how long again. Yet she tried to keep a smile and looked at Rhys, who although looked the same, had a more mature and wizen aura around him.
"It's time." Rhys spoke, his voice was a bit deeper and manly. His golden eyes that were corrupted by purple looked at Eternal Paragon, during the seven years Rhys remained in the void under her watch. He had improved a lot, both mentally and physically. He owed her a lot, but it was time for him to go back, for 4 years he held back his lust, it had gotten hard at times yet he held back. Not once did Eternal Paragon catch him suffering or did he ask for her help.
All he wanted to do was finish the inheritance trials once he returns and go back to his women, then looked for Edea and Ailin. Of course, he did not know that his woman and Edea and Ailin had already met. But that did not matter for now.
He wanted to embrace and give them love, he had reached the peak of this world, if he continued to break through, he would not be able to return to Zolorix as the world barrier would prevent him from entering a world not befitting his cultivation.
"Yes it is, I had fun." Eternal Paragon spoke emotionally, her purple lips shuddered lightly as she felt like crying. After the first time she pleased Rhys, she realized her feelings were slowly blooming into something more than interest. But she kept to herself as to not bother her master-disciple relationship.
'But if I had known saying goodbye was this harsh, I would not have done anything...' Eternal Paragon felt like crying but held back. She felt empty inside at the thought of Rhys leaving her all alone. But she could not, would not confess.
Beings of her caliber spent their lives alone as staying with a weaker lover would not help them but only hurt them. They would live longer, they had different views of the world. So Paragons remained alone unless they were prepared to suffer the consequences.
Eternal Paragon also had trouble speaking her mind about such feelings, accepting she loved Rhys was one thing. But telling him and confessing was another. She was not willing. Rhys understood this and never bothered to advance their relationship.
'Once I am strong enough... then...!' Rhys thought, a glint flashing in his eyes before it receded. Rhys felt bad, but he would rather conquer her once he is strong enough than right now, that he is a weak little shit. In his world he was strong, but in the universe, he was nothing noteworthy.
Fwoosh! Space opened behind Rhys, leading back to the inheritance grounds in Zolorix. Finally, he could use the ability as Eternal Paragon was not restricting him anymore.
But Rhys did not go straight through it, instead, he walked towards Eternal Paragon who watched him with a confused gate as to why he was not leaving, but one could not miss her eyes were slightly veiled in tears.
Without much movement, Rhys hugged Eternal Paragon's shaking body, her warmth and his combined, making them feel something more. But Rhys did not stop there, he moved his mouth close to her fair ear and whispered, "Once I am strong enough I will conquer you and love you to death."
With those words, Rhys stopped and jumped into the spatial gate that led back home. But he did not miss the words uttered by Eternal Paragon, "I'll be waiting!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as she saw Rhys disappear into a purple spatial gate, she fell to her knees as she watched the spatial gate close, and clenched her chest, over her heart.
'It hurts!'
Eternal Paragon thought as tears escaped her eyes, a being so strong was crying! Her age seemed relevant as she seemed like nothing but a little girl who had lost her family, Her purplish tears rolled down her pale-purple skin. Falling down into the depths of the void as the void seemed to shake with her cries.
Waa!
Yes, she said she would wait. But that doesn't mean she would not miss him. She would, of course, she would. Her wails were the sign of her love that will go incomplete for years. Yet she would wait, wait no matter how long it took. For she had fallen for him like a foolish woman.
'Rhys, I will wait for you, you have taken my heart without my permission. Break this promise and I will hunt you and everyone related to you until extinction. I vow!' Her vow was both sad and scary.
She was prepared to kill Rhys, the man she loved if he left her waiting for too long. Her cried still made the void shake, but at least, she felt better knowing that Rhys would at least come back for her.

In Zolorix, Rhys arrived through the purple spatial gate, he watched it close before he felt the energy of the universe welcome him. He heard Ina wake up and talk to him, the voice of the trial speaking up. Yet he ignored it all as tears fell down his face.
He now had another reason to get stronger, and he would. But for now, he had to finish the trial and go back home. Then could he progress forward. Still, his emotions were wild after hearing Eternal's Paragon wails of pain and sadness.
'I'll return no matter what.' Rhys thought as he knew he would not return until he was strong enough.

Author's Note: Even I felt a little bit emotional when writing this, could you believe this?
Please Read!
Over 40 chapters, I honestly don't know how this is not enough to leave a review. I ask that you do if you enjoy this shitty work of mine, that is slowly improving. I'm not one to ask these types of things, but reviews allow me to know how people see my novel overall.
So if you could, leaving a review would help. Thanks.
