after acting like a sleeping baby, Seren thought that her mother would let go of the matter because magic was a normal thing in this world. although the shape and the method to use them were different, it was still magic in the end. noon came and Seren woke up from her sleep then Nadia fed her and after playing with her for an hour or so she left her in the room after applying a powerful protection spell on her.
'finally some alone time. let's see the results of my research.' Seren closed her eyes and instead of imagining she decided to focus on her insides to see if she can feel any changes. seconds turned to minutes and Seren didn't feel anything. it was a bad feeling of failure.
'I feel so tired in this little body. I wish time passed faster' she closed her eyes and slept because she used too much of her brain. Seren was now around two months old and it was amazing for a small body like that to even conjure magic a little but Seren was using it more than enough and it had its consequences.
again, Seren woke up but nobody was in her room as she expected, even her mother didn't come to see her this afternoon. she was curious about where her mom was but she had a more important task at hand.
'I don't need to see the changes in my body now, right? let's just keep practicing. now I want more...thrill...yeah I want more of that so let's go for fire.' Seren thought.
then she closed her eyes and like in the morning tried to feel the 'mana' around her. slowly glowing yellow dots came into her dark vision. something was different this time but Seren couldn't say what. maybe it was easier or the dots were a little bit bigger but in the end, Seren didn't care. she didn't know to focus on what probe or even what those problems were.
because of the thing that happened in the morning, Seren decided to take it slow. she focused on a single dot at a time. one by one they went inside her body. slowly she could feel how they went in her body and where they would store themselves.
when the dots came in contact with her delicate skin, they melted on the spot and her skin would absorb it like a sponge. the melted dot then would go in her veins and after completing a full blood circulation, it would go in a place in her abdomen that was physically not there!
it was a dark sphere the size of her fist. it was smaller than Seren thought but then she remembered that she was only a two-month-old child and thought that it was big. slowly it got filled with melted yellow dots. Seren couldn't keep track of time but she knew that more than an hour had passed at least.
she opened her eyes and exhaled slowly. she held her right hand in front of her and imagined a fireball in her hand. amazingly Seren could feel that yellow melted energy was running through her veins to reach her right hand. when it reached its destination, a fireball slowly came to exit out of nowhere. it was small like a lighter but it was hot! super hot!
'now I can use Kamehameha in real-life hehe' she then tried to throw the ball away. Seren was so excited that didn't think about the consequences of fire magic. she throws it but it didn't go far. it fell on the stone surface of the room and extinguished. she then conjured another faster than before and tried to throw it further and in the end, she failed, again.
'now what should I do? I mean in those books and movies it wasn't like a ball that had mass. it flew forward...hmm...let me try something.' she conjured another fireball and instead of throwing it she used her 'mana' and tried to move the fireball. the fireball floated in front of her and Seren took away her little hands from it. 'huh sometimes my genius scares even me.' then she throw it using her energy. it hit the wall in front of her bed and burned the wall for some more and then extinguished.
'let me see how much energy I have used for those three fireballs...' Seren tried to feel that nonphysical space in her body and surprisingly it was possible when she wasn't gathering energy. around one-fifth of the sphere was empty. 'wow so I can use it like fifteen times...so if it's like that, let's try the real Kamehameha hehe'
Seren brought both of her hands forward and imagined a ball of blue flame was hovering in front of her. she felt her energy running out at a faster rate than it almost instantly 3 fifths of the sphere got emptied in a second and left her with only 1 fifth of the sphere.
'it is getting hotter...wow...it feels amazing.' then she imagined it spinning and got her hand a little back and after using her energy she shot it forward. Seren felt that all of her energy was exhausted and she felt sleepy but she hold on to see the result of her little thrill. she opened her eyes but saw that the flame wasn't going forward as fast as she wanted it. it was slowly going forward and was turning everything in front of to ash without stopping a little. the ball was so hot that even the bed she was sleeping on was slowly burning and turning to ash. Seren looked at her body and saw she was safe.
she didn't know if it was because of the protection spell of her mother or because it was her energy and it couldn't harm the caster body. either way, it was good for her. She was thinking about what an amazing job she did when she noticed that the ball was going to hit the wall in front of her.
'oh no...oh no...what should I do? MOTHER...'
BOOM!
--
"the child of destiny has been born. she is the key to destroying the universe, known and unknown. she is the key to peace between the gods and humans. on the 216 months of her life, she will choose and that choice will shape the destiny of all existence."
after the sisters said this, they came down and that glow vanished like it didn't exist in the first place. they looked terrified because they saw what would happen to the universe if things went wrong and what would it become if things went good. they knelt in front of Nadia like she was a god or something and said in sync "our Majesty, we the sisters of faith beg you to stop the disaster from happening. the key to everyone's life is in your hands."
"what do you mean? she is just a child. what can a child do?" Nadia shouted back at them.
the sisters of fate took to put their hood down and Nadia could see two breathtaking beauty in front of her and even as a woman she felt the need of having them by her side. they looked at Nadia with an understanding look. the look of 'kill her and prevent the happening of that disaster.' but they didn't say anything.
"you dare come to my palace, look me in the eye, and tell me to kill my daughter to just prevent some delusion? HOW DARE YOU!?" Nadia's voice got louder with every word she said. they didn't say anything and just looked at Nadia.
"You half blood...."
BOOM!
Nadia wanted to shoo them away and tell Marie to take them away when a big explosion happened in the next room. suddenly all the walls fell apart and the west side of the castle that Nadia was staying in turned to ashes, even stones melted away. when Nadia saw this, she flew to save Seren. she didn't care if the palace was under attack or it was an accident. first, she needed to see her only child.
the room was a mess and blue fire was everywhere. when Nadia stepped into the room through the ruins, she had to fly over the fire but she felt something that made her heartache. "this fire...it burns the mana in my body...don't tell me the Gods that my husband tried so hard to defeat are alive?" she flew faster and finally found Seren. she was lying on the floor because the bed had been turned to Ashes. Nadia got so happy that she went forward and hugged Seren. she knew that the only thing that made her safe was the spell she cast on Seren.
Marie came in after some seconds and stood behind her queen. she tried everything she could and somehow controlled the fire. "My queen, we need to leave this room. it is not safe. I feel my energy leaving my body."
Nadia came back to her senses and gave Seren to Marie and told her to take her away while she put the fire away. Marie hugged Seren and flew as fast as she could to the other room and went to the east side of the castle and locked herself in a hidden room.
Nadia hold her hands up and chanted "audite mandatum meum". slowly some strand of white energy extended from her body and went everywhere that the fire burned. wherever the white energy went, the fire would extinguish. around two minutes later only ruins remained in front of Queen of north. she needed to find the reason. if they had come after her, she wouldn't look for revenge but they had gone for her only child.
"I will...find whoever...did this..."
