Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Tokyo, Shinjuku Ward.

Shinjuku City. One of the many well known entertainment districts in Tokyo. Not only do it have many red light districts, but clubs, bars, many forms of cinema and more.

At night Shinjuku, like many other wards in Tokyo, thrived at night. The streets would become packed, boards would start to light up, wonderful music would be heard around every corner.

People dressed wonderfully in Yukatas and Kimonos ready to go out to a party, walking around the city for food and just enjoying the festive and happy atmosphere.

The place was so festive and people wore so much makeup and face painting along with dressing extremely fancy and showy that nobody would guess the place had so many demons hiding in it.

All right under there noses. Some walked around as if it was normal, some changed how they looked to be a bit human, and other were just walking around enjoying the night.

Obviously this place was a great place for hunting and of course would be the best place to just roam and gain strength, but a lot of the resident demons were peaceful.

They haven't made themselves known and of course there's the occasional killing so they can stay alive and not go through that state of starvation, but a large portion of them were just there for the experience.

Like now.

Sitting inside a bar was a man with messy black hair, pale skin, sharp golden eyes and looked to be in his early 20's. He sat there at his table alone, but seemed to have a content smile on his face.

He was eye candy for women and the envy of men. His whole demeanor showed that he was most likely an arrogant fellow that thought he was above others.

He wore clothes that resembled military uniform of the imperial Japanese army.

'I was sent here on a scouting mission a few days ago, but there seems to be more demons that I thought. I might need some more time on this one.' He thought with a sigh as he got up to leave.

'Ah who am I kidding, the more the merrier.' He thought with a childish chuckle and smile.

He had used the bar to get some coffee and to just relax his feet sense he knew the co-owner of the place "pretty well". Sadly she hadn't arrived yet, so instead of coming for the usual, he was just chillin.

As he started walking towards the exit, a big guy threw a mug filled with alcohol in it at him. Well tried. The guy was so drunk he hit the man that he was walking past.

"Hey you, big shot with the good clothes." That same guy said. The guy getting ready to leave pointed at himself and looked towards the big man that stood up.

"Yeah, you. Why don't we go out and have a chat?" The big guy said.

"Hmm, no. I'm not into that kind of stuff man." He replied. His voice was deep but smooth although it sounded like he was a schemer.

His voice always seemed to sound like he was mocking someone. Some women and men started laughing at the guy, but tried to keep it at a low volume like many other people in the bar.

"Toshiro. Take this outside, I don't want another mess being made in my bar by you." Said a bulky man behind the counter that served drinks. By his tone one could see that they knew each other for a while.

He seemed annoyed and worn out like this was an everyday occurrence, even though this only happened 3 times.

Toshiro, the man in the uniform, sighed as he turned around and opened the door to leave. The big, buff, drunk guy followed him with a grin and once they were outside he attacked Toshiro from behind.

He reached out to grab Toshiro by the neck, but was countered immediately when Toshiro easily grabbed his arm and his kimono before flipping him over his shoulder.

The guy was slammed into the ground with a loud thud. The guy who was slammed was easily 330 pounds, 6'2, and practiced some type of martial arts.

His body was way to bulky for him to jot be practicing something or having experience in some type of combat. Toshiro and the guy were the same height, but compared to him, Toshiro shouldn't have even been able to get the guy off the ground.

'Hmm.'

The man on the ground didn't look like he was getting up. Toshiro could see his muscles having slight spasms, he didn't seem to be breathing all that good and he looked unconscious.

"Oh my guy he killed him."

"He killed that man!!"

"Murderer!!"

"Somebody call the police!!"

"It's a misunderstanding, this man is still alive." Toshiro said calmly. He knelt down and seemingly pinched his neck and the man jolted forward.

He looked around for a moment in a panic and once he saw Toshiro he immediately bowed down to him with his head planted on the ground.

"Hey what's going on over here!?" An officer said as he and 3 other officers came over to see what the commotion was about.

(With Kyoshi)

"You must be around Kanoto rank huh?" Kyoshi asked the demon slayer he was fighting. Well it wasn't really a fight.

After the Demon Slayer caught Kyoshi eating some merchant he attacked him, but hasn't been able to land a hit for the last 5 minutes.

"I don't know if this is some type of clarified information, but what do you know about the Blue Spider Lily?" Kyoshi asked.

He remembered Muzan saying he's been looking all over the country for it since he became a demon, but still hasn't found it. What he didn't understand was, why they couldn't go look in another country.

Surly they would be able to get some information from bigger places.

"Blue Spider Lily? I don't know what you're talking about." The Demon Slayer said.

'Damn it. I can't get a hit on this guy. It seems like we're evenly matched so he can't get a hit on me either. Damn, should I focus on counter attacking?'

The demon slayer was running many scenarios through his head as he faced the demon.

'It seems like we're at a stalemate, but this won't end till one of us die.'

"Hmm, are you sure you don't know anything about it?" Kyoshi asked as his eyes changed from ashy grey to blood red with the white parts turning black.

The Demon Slayer's body started shaking and his eyes widened. Before, the demon before him gave off a feeling childish aura. Now he seemed like some stone cold killer. A mass murderer. Just like the one that killed his mother.

He remembered it vividly. A tall man with long blonde hair broke into their house. He started preaching about how she would live a better life in his stomach before he started eating her alive.

His dad already had his body ripped apart, limb by limb while he was alive. The demon placed his dads head on the dresser and turned it towards the bed to make it seem as if he was watching his wife get killed.

All he could do was watch from a crack in the closet door while the demon seemed satisfied. It's face was showing it's pleasure in eating his mother like it was some guy buying a prostitute.

After the demon was done it glanced at the closet he was in before smiling cruelly. The demon walked over to the closet and opened it up before crouching down in front of the boy.

Just as he was reaching out to grab him, the demon vanished.

That demon was Doma and the only reason he didn't get to kill that kid was because of a meeting Muzan called forcing Nakime to teleport everyone there. This all happened 10 years ago and that boy is now 19.

He clinched his hands around his katana and rushed towards Kyoshi. His blade produced a stream of fire as he dashed towards Kyoshi.

"Flame Breathing; First Form: Unknowing Flame!!" The Demon Slayer shouted.

Each step he took cracked the ground beneath him. Kyoshi looked at the Demon Slayer calmly with his hand on the hilt of his katana.

'Your form is good and I can tell you've probably been through some things, but honestly. I couldn't care any less than I already do now.' Kyoshi thought as he vanished from his position.

The demon slayer slashed at the air, right where Kyoshi's neck would have been, but in the next moment he felt himself falling forward and then saw his legs.

Between them he was was able to see Kyoshi's katana sucking up the blood before he sheathed it.

"Moon Breathing; First Form: Dark Moon."

Just before the Demon Slayer swung his sword, Kyoshi got low and blasted forward in a quick draw stance and cut the boy completely in half.

'I-I'm dying…' Takume thought. He was a rather good demon slayer with multiple bodies under his name. He had a mission completion rate of 87.3%.

Kyoshi looked at the Demon Slayer with tears streaming from his eyes.

'How is this guy still alive?' He thought. He walked over to the boy and with a quick slash, he beheaded him. Kyoshi breathed in before bunching the ground, producing a whole straight down.

He place the head inside the hole and covered it up. Kokushibo said it was done by samurai after they killed an opponent to honor the dead.

Although Kyoshi wasn't a samurai and he didn't really care about his opponents, he did it out of habit since he took Kokushibo's words to heart as a kid.

Ever since then he'd just been doing it and now it's just a force of habit. There was a sudden gust of wind that necked Kyoshi's straw hat off, but he caught it before it could be carried away.

"The sun should be rising in about 3 hours. I can smell a village maybe about half an hour through the forest." He muttered.

He deactivated his kakugan and dashed off through the forest.

—Koga Clan Village—

"Lady Yui, you should take your training more seriously. You'll need it one day." Said a women who was in the backyard of the Clan Leaders house with his daughter.

There was a beautiful pond and garden and sitting on the grass watching the Koi fish swim around was Yui. She wore a white Yukata that had lavender flowers designed onto them.

Around her waist was a white obi which held the yukata together. She had silky brown hair that seemed messy and with one braid in her hair. She had purple eyes with two small beauty marks under the left eye.

"It's not that I don't take it seriously, it's the fact that I don't see the point in constantly training when nothing has happened." She said with a sigh.

"Furthermore, the last time the village was even attacked was 20 years ago. Plus it's not like I don't already know the breathing techniques and fighting style. If anything did hap-."

Before she finished her sentence, the maid that was standing at the porch was behind her with a fan at her neck.

"Excuse my actions, but as it stands now if anything happens you'll be dead." She said bluntly.

"Especially if a demon was to attack again. Remember the stories Lady Yui." She added.

"Fine I'll train more on one condition."

"Yes?"

"You have to convince my father to let you be my trainer, Masako." She said.

Masako Minagawa. A mix-breed, in other words she's the product of a demon and a human. This information is only known by the Clan leader and the Demon Slayer Corp who's in cooperation with this village.

"But I'm too busy to train you." Masako said with an apologetic smile. Masako was quite the young looking girl, but was actually 56.

She was 5'3, with pure white hair that had small streaks of red, purple eyes and pointed ears. She looked extremely cute, which often catches her opponents off guard.

"My dad lets you do whatever you want, I'm sure you can get him to switch you out." Yui said.

'I'm more worried about hurting you than not being able to do it.' Masako thought with a light laugh.

"I'll see what I can do, in the meantime it's almost the start of a new day, you should get whatever sleep you can." She said.

Yui nodded her head and got up as they went back into the house.
