Obo looked at the orange sunset with shining eyes and said, "We call it Mecca because it is where we want to reach. That is our collective calling, to reach Mecca and touch the undying light."
Xasha's face lit with realization. "So, this is the undying light. The light from Mecca never fades, never dims, and guides you down the true path."
"Precisely." Obo nodded.
Xasha chuckled, "So, it's like that?"
"It's like that," Obo reaffirmed.
Xasha looked at him like he was a country bumpkin. Of course, the light from that zone wouldn't go out. It's captured sunlight, more than likely by the undying Jade. It wouldn't be impossible for there to be fires raging and flaring there year-round. Especially with solar flares still landing and whipping that section of the planet's surface to this day. He sighed and shook his head. He didn't fault them, 'whatever helps them sleep at night,' he thought.
