After Teacher Kris's class was over, all the students in Cenora's class headed to the locker room to take a sports lesson that they would do on the basketball court at their school.
Today they played basketball for girls only. So the boys just sat on the outskirts of the basketball arena to cheer their classmates on.
Cenora was already in the middle of the basketball court and getting ready to play the exciting game with her other friends.
"How can that Hybrid have such a stupid idea of letting his bride be free to be surrounded by weak ghosts around it? He greatly underestimates the safety of his bride!" muttered Ken who was currently on a tree not far from the basketball court where Cenora was currently.
'Why don't you just take that Moon Elf reincarnated girl, Master? Wouldn't our clan get stronger if you offered it to our clan?'
'Yes, you're right. This master Hybrid is so reckless and I think he's stupid!'
'How can he be this relaxed, when his bride is so shining like that? He squandered the opportunity he had!'
"All of you shut up. You guys are so noisy, you know? I would look strange and suspicious if the humans in this place saw me with you guys like this!" Ken grumbled to the fox demons like him, "If they just see me up in the tree to relax, it's fine. But if I was surrounded by as many foxes as now, what would the humans here think? Go there!" he continued nagging his clan members.
"You guys also don't have to tell me anything about that Demon Hybrid. I was already quite annoyed with him this morning!" Ken still grumbled, "I don't even know what stupid reason he kept not to formalize a stealth marriage with that girl,"
"The reason for falling in love with a human still sounds ridiculous to me. Even though what I see is that of the Hybrid. Yeah, he's falling in love whit her,"
The fox demons beside him could be heard laughing in a voice like a real fox.
'Fall in love? That's a stupid excuse, sir!'
'You are right. How could that Hybrid Lord not know the curse that was inflicted on the Demon King with the Moon Elves? He'd be a fool to repeat that mistake!'
"But what I see is like that! You guys don't comment like you know better than me or a Hybrid like him!" Ken grumbled again, "Go to your respective places, and don't make a mess that makes the Hybrid angry!"
"As much as possible, stay away from the bride and don't do as you please even though I'm around here! This is Hybrid's area. Our clan and I are guests here!"
"Don't be as ignorant as your previous comrades who use my name to harm the Hybrid bride. I'll just shut up if you and the low caste fox demons here are wiped out because of that Hybrid's fury because you guys have been rude to him!"
"The mass extermination of spider demons in this area of his control is impossible you guys don't know, right? So just think of it that way, because the Hybrid couldn't possibly annihilate me without a cause. You guys have to be careful and restrain your appetite!"
"That girl shines. Her breath is also very fragrant, even the smell of her blood alone is very intoxicating for us. And it has become her destiny to be the target of every current demon clan leader, "
"That's why I'm here and will try my luck snatching her from that Hybrid because I know that Hybrids are different from previous Hybrids or the leaders of other stealth clans,"
Ken finished giving his clan members a warning, without turning his sharp gaze on Cenora's figure in the center of the field.
In his current vision, even though Cenora was shining brightly amidst the dark auras of the common ghosts surrounding her, Cenora was unable to cope with the minor annoyances she kept on receiving from the nosy ghosts.
Cenora always falls due to being pushed, pulled, or deliberately tripped so Cenora is injured. And it had become an ordinary spectacle for Cenora's friends without knowing the cause of her bad luck.
But in Ken's eyes, Cenora was struggling. It wasn't just once or twice that Cenora fell, and that made Ken feel sorry for her.
"Remember my warning to you guys. It's for your good! I'll go first," Ken said to the other fox demons before descending from the tree and walking towards Cenora.
Ken's presence in the middle of the field diverted cheers of ridicule at Cenora who repeatedly fell.
Like a prince helping his girlfriend who was in trouble, Ken immediately squatted down to Cenora on the outskirts of the basketball court.
'Wow, he's come for Cenora. Cenora is so lucky!'
'Isn't he the new transfer student? Is he Cenora's lover?'
'Ahhh, my eyes! How come I just found out there's a handsome guy like him?!'
Ken's presence made the female students there excited and made those who initially ignored Cenora, turn to pay attention.
"Very annoying!" mumbled Ken while helping Cenora clean her body from the coarse sand that was attached.
"Your muttering will be heard by them. It's okay, no problem. I'm used to this," Cenora reminded Ken.
"Can you wake up? You've fallen four times, you haven't even played fifteen minutes yet!" Ken ignored Cenora's words and turned to grumble.
"Cenora, are you all right? Let me help you to the infirmary!" a female student who had previously been indifferent to Cenora, now ventured closer to the two of them.
"No need. Her lover is here. She doesn't need anyone else to make her better!" Ken responded curtly.
Without a word, Cenora's body lifted as Ken carried her bride-style, causing Cenora to scream in surprise.
"Ken put me down now! What are you doing, huh?!" Cenora growled at Ken.
"So what's the point of you being the lover of a great man, if that guy lets you get hurt like this?!" Ken replied to Cenora's words angrily, but his eyes stared far away at the classroom terrace on the second floor, far in front of him.
No one knows at this time Ken stared cynically at Ichigo who was watching the situation from behind the glass window of another classroom, where he is currently teaching.
The two pairs of demon eyes stared at each other sharply and full of annoyance.
"Ken. Put me down now, I'm embarrassed!" Cenora's call to him makes Ken shift his gaze from Ichigo to Cenora.
"Come on, treat your wounds!" said Ken with a cold tone and face, until Cenora herself was stunned to face it.
Ken walked while carrying Cenora without caring about the situation and the noisy voices of the other students talking about them.
Ken's steps were directed towards the health room, and when they were inside the room, the two of them did not see any health workers on guard.
"I can do it myself, so you just get out of here," said Cenora as she sat on the edge of the patient's bed in the school's medical room, "And thank you," Cenora continued to Ken.
"I don't need your thanks," Ken replied curtly as he pulled up a chair in front of Cenora. His hand was seen carrying the first aid kit and placing the box beside Cenora.
When Ken opened the box, his all annoyed face turned to one of confusion.
"How do humans use this?" Ken asked as he touched the objects in the box one by one. And the last thing he picked up and showed Cenora were scissors.
"If you don't know anything about those things, why did you bring them here? So silly!" Cenora grumbled half annoyed and half-amused laugh.
"I've seen humans carry boxes with a '+' symbol like this when other humans have an accident. I just don't know how to use it. You don't have to make fun of me!" Ken replied not wanting to lose.
Cenora took the scissors from Ken's hands and put them back in their original box. Cenora was only seen taking some plaster to cover her slightly bleeding wound.
"I told you, I'm fine! Look, my wound is closed," said Cenora after feeling the wound was looking better.
"It's useless. The demons who are far from here can still smell your blood even if your blood is only seeping! You're not improving things at all if you cover your wounds like that!" Ken scolded her.
"Is that true?" Cenora asked confused. She turned her head here and there to confirm Ken's words, "Hey, the only demon in this place is you. Don't scare me like this because I'm not afraid of you either!" continued Cenora protesting.
"You're so naive. But I believe this bold attitude of yours is due to that Hybrid overindulging its food!" Ken's words sounded mocking at Cenora, so Cenora immediately changed her facial expression to a gloomy one.
