Chapter 63 - Epologe

Hsien Lian readjusted the crown onto his head. It was starting to get annoying, but Hsien Lian didn't mind it as much as others might think. It really wasn't the most irritating thing in the world. That place was given to Chen Guo's and Fang Hai's endless bickering. Gods can't get married, but they were an old married couple.

Hsien Lian groaned, picking up an apple. But before he could throw it at one of their heads, Jing Mei stops him. She takes the apple, placing it on his plate. "You need veggies." She smiles, pats his head, before sitting down. Hsien Lian rolls his eyes, going back to the paper on his side. One of his Nobles had given it to him. For the two years Hsien Lian had been prince, he had been working very hard to make sure a drought or warming didn't affect the flowers too much.

"Chen Guo! Do you know who I am? I can wash the East away in a single hurricane!" Fang Hai threatened. Tao Wu hit Fang Hai with his golden fan. "You are not going to do that. Then the celestials will get mad at us." "And you wouldn't want Ming Ying to come down here." Jing Mei added Ever since Hsien Lian had become the Prince of the Gods, he had become a lot closer to Jing Mei and Tao Wu. They seemed more like a family and less of a hierarchy. Fang Hai and Chen Guo also got closer, since it's a three for one package it seems.

Hsien Lian had walked into the room while Fang Hai and Chen Guo were in the middle of a debate. He was about to walk out if it wasn't for the fact that this was an important meeting. Supposedly, there were many people saying that there was a new, hidden part of Heaven. Some Noble under Jing Mei had seen it. Another Heaven.

But unlike this new Heaven, it wasn't in Heaven at all. Instead, it seemed like a barrier between Heaven and the Human Realm. Similar to the Realm's Edge. A way for humans to come to Heaven. But, that's not the worrying part. Though it should be explored by a Melee God and some Nobles, the problem is a new question arises. There are different edges to different realms.

Could there be an edge that leads the Ghost Realm to Heaven?

If so, the gods need to find it before the ghosts and place a barrier spell. If demons and ghosts were able to somehow come into Heaven, hell would take place. The celestials were supposed to be here, but it seemed they were two busy doing….. Other things, so the gods are on their own for this one.

"Well, now that thing one, two, and three are all settled. Let's get started". Hsien Lan gasped at the insult. He was not like Chen Guo and Fang Hai! "Yes. So, as we all know. There is supposedly a way for humans to get from the Human Realm to Heaven. I don't believe any of them have noticed it before, which is good. However, assuming all realms have connections to each other. Then Heaven should have an edge that leads to the Ghost Realm." Tao Wu explained.

"So wouldn't a boring old barrier work fine? If the edge is as simple as the Realm's Edge, then we should be fine, right?" Fang Hai asked. "But we don't even know where the edge could be. We don't even know if it exists." Hsien Lian points out. A light knock can from the door. A young woman, one of Hsien Lian's Nobles, steps inside. She bows to everyone, some bowing back. "I have a package for Hsien Lian. It said it was important." She says. Hsien Lian hesitantly stands up, walking over to the lady. It was a wooden box, wrapped in papyrus paper.

She bows to Hsien Lian, the Royal God bowing back. He turns to the table. "I will be right back." Hsien Lian said, before stepping out after the girl. He waited until she was gone before looking at the box.

It was tied in brown string, a single lavender flower was tied lightly to the box, somehow staying secure. Hsien Lian smiled, crouching before fully sitting down in the hall. He carefully untied the box, before opening it. There were two things inside.

One was a ring. It wasn't just any ring, but a silver ring. With a small butterfly attached to it. It was XingYing's ring. Hsien Lian smiled, placing the ring in his palm. He held it tightly, smiling and holding onto the item. He looked at the other item. An envelope. Hsien Lian carefully opened the envelope, a paper falling out. Hsien Lian grabbed it, opening the note. He read it carefully, studying each word.

Soon he stood, bolting to his room.

Only two words in his mind.
