Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

Yao Wang stared at the woman confused, but the young girl who seemed to be watching everything pushed through Yao Wang. She looked up at them, waving at one of the guard-hunter-people. "But! You're back!" She said happily. Yao Wang looked up to the man.

Buo… Yao Wang assumed that was his name. Buo's silent stare was eerie to Wang. His eyes were tightened in a way Wang had never seen before. His eyes were very dual since they had a delicate look to him. Wang could see the boy smiling all day long, but his personality really didn't match his looks. At least, that's what Yao Wang thought. He looked down at Yue, smiling.

His face was pale, with his eyebrows a dark brown. His hair was silky, tightly wrapped in a bun. A piece of green ribbon wrapped around his head, however, matching his emerald green modern hanfu. His voice was deep, slightly deeper than Wang's, yet he was also thinner than the dancer. His fingers were delicate yet with purpose as he uncrossed his arms.

Buo nodded at Yue. "Did I say otherwise, your mother would kill me if she thought I had lost you." Buo pointed out calmly, before looking back up at Yao Wang. He smiled, seemingly scanning Yao Wang's entire body, before nodding. The lady patted the girl's head.

So her name was Yue. Slowly, Yao Wang was learning. All three of these people knew Yue. And they just allowed her to go wherever she wanted. It was dangerous. Yao Wang didn't know much about this place, but every place is dangerous. Yao Wang wasn't going to correct them or anything, since he didn't have a child. "Are you her family? I bought you all some strawberries." Yao Wang said, stepping to the side to let the three strangers in.

They all walked in, the last man lagging behind. He was silent the entire time, not saying much. Now that Yao Wang thought about it, the two guards seemed like twins, opposites though. The quiet one's jaw was sharper and his eyes were lowered to the ground. He seemed not shy, instead focused on something else.

His eyes were a bright blue, with his hair a shiny black, tightened into a ponytail. A blue ribbon was wrapped around to tighten his hair, flowing down with the organic strands. His modernized hanfu was trimmed with the same deep sea blue, flowing down to his legs. He looked back up at Wang, keeping eye contact with him before Yao Wang looked away.

Yao Wang led the to the small sitting room, with Yue slightly in front of him, holding the boxes of strawberries. "We aren't her family, she has a Mother and Father but they are…. Elsewhere." Buo answered, sitting down. Yao Wang slowly nodded, as You placed the strawberries on the table, before hopping onto Boy's lap.

The other man sighed, crossing his leg. He laughed, leaning back. The slightly older lady hit him. "Enough, Fu Hai." She warned. Fu Hai. That was the man's name. He really started to learn from being quiet. He had done that before, but this was taking it to the next level. He was a loner, he had to do what he had to do.

Yao Wang sucked in a breath. "So, if you are not Yue's parents. Then, if I may, who are you guys?" Yao Wang asked He didn't mind if they took her, but he just had to make sure they were safe. Yue trusted them, and didn't have much of a negative reaction on seeing their faces. So that must mean something.

"We are her…. Caretakers…" Buo said hesitantly. THe lady hit him, the man flinching before making sure Yue was safe on his lap. "Hey, you can't do that. I have a child." Buo whined. Fu Hai snicked, seemingly hiding in his own corner. "Come on. That's Jing Mei you're talking about. Why are you being so rude?" Fu Hai asked, clicking his tongue disappointedly.

Buo turned to him, tilting my head before scoffing. "Can't you go make up someone's bed or something?" Buo asked sarcastically. Fu Hai turned to look at Buo. "Really, Buo? Teach someone something you actually understand. Them we will talk about me-"

The lady, Jing Mei Yao Wang had assumed, stood up. SHe looked at Yao Wang, maintaining her sweet smile. "Would you like to take a walk. They won't break anything, and if they do I'll pay for it." Jing Mei asked, gaining both boy's attention. "What? I wanted to tell him!" Fu Hai whined. Jing Mei only rolled her eyes before turning her head back to Yao Wang.

"Would you?"

Yao Wang wanted to say no. Wanted to shake his head and walk these three weirdos out of his house. He wasn't judgemental, but he also wasn't mental-mental. He wouldn't just let these people walk in, argue, then take Yue that quickly. Maye there were too many things happening, or maybe it was too tiring . But Yao Wang was still here, looking dumb founded.

"Um, yes of course."

Right when Yao Wang thought he was good at suppressing his curiosity.

I smile softly. The man I'm watching, doing everything I have remembered. Am I being psychotic? Am I being a stalker? Or am I simply doing the one thing I am good at, watching him. This was my way of watching him. I can walk up to him any second, I can smile and hug him any second. But his reactions, his reactions to them. I am starting to believe that he won't remember me. BUt I won't believe it. I'll just have to do the one thing I used to be terrible at.

Waiting.
