The children ran out of the classroom, the school bell rang three times. Indicates that the break has arrived.
The teacher ended her explanation. Closed the book, took him back to the office.
"Yee... Rest..." The children chased towards the school canteen. Some of the others are ready to eat their lunch.
"Hey Stevanus! Bring it here," shouted Ilona, one of Erika's friends. He chased an item that was carried away by Stefanus.
"Bring it here, don't take it out," Stefanus immediately took him out.
"This .... Take it, quickly," said Stefanus.
"Steve!" Ilona again chased on the school terrace, shouting to warn Stevanus who remained indifferent. Back and forth since then.
"Stevanus, bring it here! Give it back," said Ilona not paying attention to where she was running.
Not long after, they chased.
Ilona's feet tripped over the metal trash box.
Ilona fell, her teeth biting her lower lip really hard. Until his lips bleed.
"Ouch!..." Ilona groaned loudly, making all the students pause for a moment.
Anila just got home from the library. The path that Anila took happened to be the same place where Ilona fell. Anila saw Ilona's lips were flowing with blood.
"Ilona, what are you doing? Are you okay?" asked Anila pias. His face was horrified and he didn't know what to do.
All the children quickly gathered around seeing Ilona who was sobbing.
The noise of the crowd made several teachers come.
"What's this really about?" asked Pak Radit, a Counseling Guidance Teacher.
Stephen has gone. Maybe he ran away in fear when he saw Ilona's lips were bleeding.
Anila, who was standing right in front of Ilona, was silent.
"How come Ilona is bleeding?" asked Mr. Radit again.
Erika and her two friends came. Hurrying to hug Ilona, they rained questions.
"What are you doing, Na? How come your lips are bleeding? All of this must be because–" Erika looked at Anila evilly, "Already, shut up. Don't cry, we'll just reply to her later."
Ilona shook her eyes implying "He didn't do it,"
Maya also asked, "Who is it?"
"I know," Erika joked.
Erika whispered something to Ilona, and they stared at each other for a while.
"Aaa... Huft..." Ilona was still crying while holding her lips. "All this because of Anila, sir," argued Ilona, pointing at Anila.
Anila glared silently, 'Me?' that's what his eyes mean.
"He chased me sir, heartless, until I fell."
All eyes turned to Anila.
They easily talk about Anila as a bad girl.
"Is that so Anila?" asked Mr. Radit to make sure.
Anila shook her head.
Erika and her friends gave permission to immediately take Ilona to the UKS, so that she could be treated immediately. The blood didn't stop. Mr. Radit supports.
"You, Anila, are really really stupid!"
"No sir, I didn't do that," Anila denied in a low voice.
"I thought you were a good boy Anila, didn't you know playing catch-up at the age of 17 is very childish!"
"But sir, not me, sir," Anila kept trying to deny.
"Then, if not you? Who else?!"
"It can't be that Ilona fell alone? Or is she making up stories to accuse you! You know her father is also an important person here!"
"Say it! If not you! Tell me who?! Come on say Anila! Say it!" Mr. Malik's rebuke made Anila grimaced in fear until she shed tears in the corner.
"Me," a voice confessed, breaking the crowd from behind the crowd.
Anila looked back slowly, all eyes on a man walking forward.
"I did that," he said again.
"Gata! you?" Mr. radit like not surprised. He didn't have to ask twice to be sure. Gata includes students who do not obey the rules and the words of the teachers.
"Follow me now, to the BK room!" Mr. Radit's orders left all the crowd.
Pak Radit asked all the children to disperse and return to their activities.
Anila stops Gata's steps. Grabbed his hand quickly.
"Why did you lie?" asked Anila anxiously. His eyes are glassy.
"No papa, I want to," replied Gata casually.
"Gata, this is dangerous for you!" Anila bit her lip even more worried.
"It's okay papa, everything will be fine." Gata let go of Anila's hand. He smiled lightly following Pak Radit's back to the BK room.
Anila's eyes heated up, she grimaced sadly. Can't believe what Gata did just now? She had already accumulated a lot of BK points, and Anila was afraid that something bad would happen to her.
"I have to find out what happened in the BK room!"
Anila ran after Mr. Radit and Gata who had entered and locked the door.
Anila was willing to not attend the lesson that day. He continued to wait for what Pak Radit said to Gata in there.
30 minutes have passed.
But Gata didn't come out either.
After an hour. Instead of Gata coming out, instead his father and mother came.
Anila was surprised not to play. Why can a trivial matter, be this big?
Is it just because Ilona's father is a teacher at this school?
Anila just hopes that nothing will happen or create any chaos for Gata.
After so long waiting. Finally Gata and his parents came out.
His father looked very angry, and Gata seemed to remain indifferent.
"Son, Anila," said Mrs. Gata to Anila who was standing outside the door.
"Ee... Son Anila, it's been a while, hasn't it?"
"Not bad, ma'am," Anila lowered her head.
Gata's father kept a fierce face.
"Come on, let's go first," asked Gata's mother to her father, her mother clearly understood what Anila's purpose was from outside. Gata's mother pulled her father's hand, who was still staring at Gata full of anger.
"You'll follow later, yes," whispered Mrs. Gata.
Anila and Gata were left there, both of them were silent for a few seconds.
"Ekhem" Gata cleared his throat slowly.
Anila immediately grabbed the word,
"Why did you do that?" asked Anila quickly.
Gata was silent for a while,
"Tell me, WHY?!" Anila turned to rebuke Gata.
"Because I want to," Gata still responded casually.
"You know that? You've got a lot of points in this school! You're always breaking the rules, being late, getting into fights and... by hurting someone, it's enough to..." Anila hissed quietly for a moment.
Anila's nose started to heat up.
"I know Anila, you didn't do that," said Gata.
"I know too," growled Anila. "Why did you do that?"
"I want,"
"You shouldn't have done that."
"I want"
"Don't do it for me,"
"I want,"
"GATHING YOU WANT IT CAN BE REAL GATA!" snapped Anila, raising her voice. Emotions peaked.
"WE ARE HUMANS, ITS ROLE IN GOD'S SCENARIO. WE ARE NOT FILM ACTORS OR NOVEL CHARACTERS WHO CAN ALWAYS HAPPY END," Anila's tears fell.
"I'm just scared gata... I'm scared... What if all this later...?"
Gata hugs Anila. Anila beats Gata's body while bursting into tears.
"I'm afraid, if I have to lose you... Eee... huft,"
Gata stroked his head slowly.
"Calm down, nothing will happen. I will stay here, with you, protect you from the cruel world and friends who hate you," Gata's voice sounded warm in Anila's ears.
For a moment he calmed down. But his mind is always thinking beyond ordinary words.
"I have to be angry with Gata. So that Gata will no longer make sacrifices for me. I know how her parents are and I don't want to lose her,"
Anila pushes Gata's body. Wiping her tears and leaving Gata.
"I must be angry, even though this must be difficult,"
* * * *
The next day, Anila was still disappointed. Actually that's not it, he must be angry with Gata and determined not to talk to him until Gata really realizes his mistake.
Several times Gata greeted and called Anila. However, this time Anila completely ignored Gata.
In fact, yesterday Gata even gave Anila a letter. Anila's mind is stuck, She must look really angry and Gata has to believe her. So he rejected everything outright. Throw the letter in the trash. In front of Gata.
The following days are still the same, in the past week, Gata's attitude has changed greatly towards Anila. Gata tries hard to talk to Anila. Some of the gifts in a small bag that were placed in her class, Anila threw them away as soon as she found out it was from Gata.
"I'll be waiting for you at the school garden, later when I get home," said Gata softly, when she accidentally crossed paths with Anila.
School arrived. Anila also immediately went home, ignoring that Gata had asked her to meet him.
A few days after. It's been almost a week and nothing bothers him.
Anila begins to feel lost. Where is that childhood friend? Why didn't He see her leaving, or coming home from school?
Anila asked some children in Gata's class. How surprised Anila was.
"Gata's gone Anila, a few days ago she changed schools. Didn't she tell you, did she?" obviously one of Gata's friends.
"Change schools?" Anila asked again.
"Yes An, he moved not only because of the BK points yesterday. He moved because his parents asked him. He said that there was no reason to get points to protect someone. I don't know about this."
Anila thanks. His eyes were unfriendly. He wiped his wet cheeks.
"I'm sorry Gata ..." regretted Anila. He pondered, sitting alone in the garden, where he and Gata often talked.
"I didn't even get to thank him or apologize from him. I was really cruel!" Anila's cries broke. Especially considering that Gata's struggle for the past week to talk to him has always been dumped.
Anila is very sorry. It didn't matter that school was empty and the other kids had gone home.
His regretful memory made him go to look for Gata's letter which he had thrown in the trash. Anila rushes to find him.
A small tote bag that didn't know what it contained, he traced it to the last garbage disposal box.
His efforts were not in vain. He brought her home. While crying incessantly. Where did his only friend go?
