Chapter 37 - Reputation [4]

The three noble children were flabbergasted by Raymond's reply. They went silent, intently looking at him with their wide eyes. Then one of them spoke up about their demands.

"You do really want to go the hard way, commoner. Even if you have an A-grade, you are still a commoner, so you have to listen to us."

Just as this person said, everyone was surprised. The other students came to a halt and began prying on the scene. They were loud at the time, and that was why they were grabbed onto the scene. However, what they could notice was that, no matter how infuriated the noble children were, Raymond remained calm and unbothered by their tantrums.

"Hey, commoner. Even if you are backed by General McWorthy, you don't have the right to ignore nobles. That doesn't mean that you are equal to us, even if you are an A-grade."

"He is right. Be thankful and be honored that we invited you to join our group. You have been useful to us since you were performing well."

"Are you actually a dimwit? If you continue to ignore us, you will not be able to carry the consequences. Our family is highly regarded in the village."

Even with how loud they were going to be, Raymond just ignored them and continued napping. He acted as if his ears were filthy, but he couldn't mock them, could he?

'What a total dumbass maggot. They were acting as other entitled nobles do. Is society so ugly that nobles act arrogantly even in front of their fellow villagers?'

Raymond was already aware of their attitudes, but they were all based on his memories. In his memories, he knew every student, their background, and stories, because he was friends with each of them at the time. However, things have changed. He was altering his path.

'Even if I say that I am not preparing for the Trident Org, I cannot say that I am playing carelessly. From my memories, I knew that having the same course would not be as commendable as I expected. I was distracted and my progress with them was slow.'

"Hey, don't you know that we can make your family suffer? It will be one of the consequences if you try to ignore us one more time."

Immediately, Raymond stopped his thoughts and went blank. He stood up with his blank face and faced them.

The three of them smirked as they felt that Raymond was being budged by their taunts.

'Easy pissy. Just like others, anyone who hears about my family's ability would go to their knees and listen to my orders.'

Raymond gave them tired eyes, but deep down, he was disgusted by them.

'All of them are similar to each other. How come they were still alive if they threw away their authority like that as if they owned the world.'

"Hmmm... You are paying attention to us now? Tell me, why are you brave enough to ignore us? We were thinking of befriending you, but since it has come to this, you should be our servant."

"Hahaha... That is right. I can feel that my grades with the teachers will rise if we have your useless brain working for us!"

Slap!

Everyone became silent as a loud, crisp sound rang out. Raymond had his hands in the air after slapping one of them, and just as they were speechless, the next second, they darted their glaring gazes at Raymond.

"How dare you?! You are truly mad!"

One of them was going to make a fist, but Raymond grabbed it first. He kicked the person he slapped, then punched one of them in the stomach. When he was finished, he moved on to the third and punched him in the jaw.

They were baffled by it, but Raymond remained calm and gave them his bored eyes.

"You are nothing without your family," Raymond said in a monotonous tone as he walked to their room's doors.

"Hey! You made a huge mistake when you slapped me."

Raymond came to a halt following that call and turned around to face his aristocratic classmate. He looked him over from head to toe, then sighed deeply enough for anyone to hear.

It was an obvious mockery, and Raymond intended it to be so. He genuinely wanted to offend and enrage this classmate.

"What mistake did I make? Even if you try to take revenge on me using your family, you won't succeed. Your family will even try to move backward and punish you for not understanding one thing. You should not offend those who are higher than you."

"Higher? Did you have your mind bloated after learning that you were an A-grader? Too bad for you, you are just a commoner and it won't change. You will become a servant of us, nobles!"

Raymond tilted his head and slightly scratched his temple. His soft pacing created a tense aura around him that by the time he arrived in front of his classmate, his classmate became mute.

"Sorry about that," Raymond said, but in a slightly fruity tone.

His noble classmate was surprised by this, but as he noted that Raymond seemed to have reflected on what he did, he smirked and thanked himself for it.

"Now you know your place. If I didn't tell you your worth in the village, you might have made another mistake of offending me. Now, help me with my group."

Slap!

His eyes turned wide for the second time as he received the second slap from Raymond.

Slap! Slap! Slap!

His classmate's face was slapped repeatedly, but Raymond's eyes were unaffected. Their classmates were also stunned and speechless as they witnessed what was going on in front of them. Raymond was sending unmindful slaps to his noble classmate as if he didn't know the consequences of doing it.

Raymond's noble classmate's face turned red as he continued to do this. He then stopped slapping him and retreated with a solemn expression.

'He didn't even bother to dodge my slaps.' Raymond pondered and looked at his classmate again.

"Y-You... You will really regret this!"

"What can you do about it? I know that you hate me now, but really, what can you do about it? You will just complain about things to your family and, in the end, you will do nothing."

Raymond turned his back and faced the door, leaving while his classmates were in shock.

'Even if this turns out to make me an outcast, I don't care. At least I have driven them away, and it is not like I am not used to this. Before coming into this world, I was already an outcast.'
