The young man was not unwilling or unable to attack the beast. It's just that Aryan is afraid that if he strikes back at the creature, which incidentally is a resident of this Forbidden Forest, then this might have a bad effect on him. And before Aryan could deal with attacks after attacks from the cobra-like creature, suddenly two other strange creatures appeared that attacked Aryan.
The two creatures attacked as Aryan tried to jump from tree to tree to escape the cobra-like fanged jaws.
Aryan gasped, and suddenly staggering, one of the creatures that had just emerged from behind the mist managed to grab one of his hands. Then came a second creature who managed to grab hold of one of his legs.
"Hey…!" Aryan tried to struggle to free himself from the grip of the two strange creatures.
