"Fight me." Ryuu tilted his head in confusion.
"Listen, I'm not going to fight an old man way beyond his prime."
"Then you shall die." He muttered to himself.
Hinote disappeared from Ryuu's sight.
"Where did he go?" Ryuu looked for him.
"Boom!" Ryuu was sent flying into a wall.
"Crazy old man." Ryuu slowly got up.
"I won't fight you old man!" He yelled as he stood up.
Hinote teleported above Ryuu and grabbed him by the neck. He teleported above the temple and kicked Ryuu to the ground.
Before Ryuu hit the ground, he threw a kunai and quickly teleported to it.
"Too slow." Hinote punched him and sent him flying back.
'He's so fast, his teleportation jutsu is faster than mine and he's not even using lightning release to increase its speed.'
Ryuu activated his Sharingan.
"So now you're finally getting serious, eh?" Hinote said.
He had teleported in front of Ryuu and had a smirk after seeing Ryuu's Sharingan.
'I see…
His Sharingan differs from others, darker, but is that all to it? I'm sure there must be a reason his eyes look so strange. I will find that out in this fight.' He dashed towards Ryuu at full speed.
He looked like a blur, almost like he was teleporting again.
Hinote was faster than anyone would think by looking at him.
He was very agile and would dodge Ryuu's attacks with ease.
Whoosh!
He teleported behind Ryuu.
This time Ryuu was ready and caught him, but it was useless.
Hinote grabbed Ryuu's hands and flipped him over.
"Ugh!" Ryuu's back hit the ground, causing a wave of air to blow and a small crater formed.
*Poof!*
Hinote unsealed a sword in both his hands.
'How'd he do that? He doesn't have a sealing scroll, I didn't even see him using his hands.' He ran after Ryuu and swung his blades.
Ryuu dodged his blades and countered by throwing shurikens at Hinote.
He teleported everywhere around the cave.
Leaving Ryuu speechless and jaw dropped.
'I can't track him even with my Sharingan.'
Ryuu activated his Mangekyou and tried to track Hinote.
'He's getting serious now, hmph, as if that'll help. Either way, we're taking this fight somewhere else. He's ruining my home.'
He teleported away with Ryuu to another room.
"What the hell?" Ryuu looked around, surprised by what had just happened.
'This room is just like the one he kept me in last time. But so much bigger.'
He looked around and noticed a seal.
'I've seen that seal before. I read it in one of his books.
Space-time barrier.
I can only teleport within this confined area, but I didn't read how to unseal it.'
Ryuu looked at the Hinote.
Hinote bit his finger.
"Summoning jutsu!"
*Poof!* Ryuu's eyes widened, and he stared in awe as a giant multi-headed creature appeared.
It had scales and tentacles for feet and was the same size as half the body of a Susanoo.
"So that's how we're going to play this game?" Dark chakra formed around Ryuu's body and a giant arm holding a Katana swung the katana towards the creature.
It sliced the heads off with ease.
*Poof!*
the creature disappeared into white smoke.
Ryuu made a wood clone.
The clone did some hand signs.
"Wind Style: breakthrough!"
He inhaled a lot of wind and shot out a hefty amount of wind.
Ryuu activated Kamui.
"Fire style: Bomb Blast Dance!"
The wind and Kamui enhanced the fire, and it spread far and wide, with a great boost.
Ryuu entered sage mode.
"Got you." Hinote teleported behind Ryuu.
'Now's my chance!' He attacked Ryuu.
Ryuu quickly turned around and caught Hinote's hand, and then slammed him to the ground.
"Doesn't feel good does it?" Ryuu placed Hinote in a genjutsu.
"Hmph, now what am I going to do, what if my attempts at escaping trap me inside here, I don't-"
Ryuu was interrupted when Hinote punched him again.
"Fine, you want me to be serious, so be it."
Ryuu made multiple Kunai out of his ash.
He threw them everywhere.
"Shuriken shadow clone jutsu!"
They all spread around and he covered the battlefield in his Kunai.
"Multi-Shadow clone jutsu!" He made hundreds of clones.
Hinote scoffed and attacked, destroying multiple clones at once.
He made a hand sign and activated another seal.
"What kind of jutsu is this?"
Ryuu wobbled as everything started becoming distorted.
The ground was wobbling.
'This is the mind distortion seal. It's kind of like a genjutsu. Anyone caught near it will get mind fucked.
How annoying...'
Ryuu weaved some hand signs he placed his hand on the ground and sealing marks appeared and spread.
And returned everything back to normal.
"So, he learns."
Hinote said with a smirk.
*Poof!* a staff appeared in his hand.
Hinote tightly gripped the staff, and then it started changing appearance.
It stretched out and shed off wood and became a golden metal naginata with black sap leaking from the blade.
'I knew it wasn't a normal staff…'
Ryuu removed a scroll and took out a bow.
He took an arrow, laced it with ash, and infused lightning chakra into it.
The arrow shot out and moved so fast, but Hinote wasn't worried.
"Shadow clone jutsu!"
The arrow multiplied, and Hinote's eyes widened.
He spun the naginata around and the arrows deflected off and then teleported to Ryuu.
"Hmph!" Ryuu formed a seal, and Hinote froze.
"You brat, what did you do?!" Ryuu had a smirk on his face.
"Those arrows had my ash within them but while you were deflecting them I changed the ash into thin smoke and you breathed it in and now, then I used them to control your body, I could easily kill you here and now but I won't.
Tell me how to leave this place."
Hinote smirked.
"What kind of Uchiha falls into this kind of genjutsu?" Ryuu turned around and found Hinote standing still.
He looked back and the one on the ground disappeared into thin air.
Hinote weaved some hand signs and the space-time barrier vanished.
"We have work to do, young one." He said as he teleported himself and Ryuu back to his library.
"Work to do?" Hinote nodded.
"You came here seeking fuinjutsu, right?" Ryuu nodded.
"That's right, I've already become a master in all fuinjutsu, Kushina said I was progressing well and better than anyone she knows."
"Hmph, do you want a medal?"
Ryuu's head dropped.
"I'll take you as my student and I'll take you as my heir, after we are done here you will inherit my knowledge in fuinjutsu and also this sacred temple, but that's not the best part, you will also get this naginata, it's a fine and legendary weapon called the Amenonuhoko.
I built this entire island of Uzushiogakure using this Nagitana. It's a long story, but we have time."
Ryuu nodded.
"I don't want to seem impatient, but how long will this take? I can't miss the birth of my big brother's son."
Donk!
Hinote hit Ryuu in the head.
"Fuinjutsu isn't something to be rushed, it will take you months to master these things that I'm teaching you here.
They are dangerously powerful. If you rush things here, you will face dire consequences. Don't you know how ninjutsu works?" Ryuu nodded.
"Every jutsu has a weakness and a drawback." Hinote nodded.
"But old man, if I miss this birth, the village will cease to exist, someone plans to attack the village, I can't be gone for too long, the village needs me."
"This is something greater than Konohagakure!" Hinote shouted.
He took a deep breath to calm down.
"Listen, these scrolls and these Fuinjutsu can never go to waste, but they also cannot be given to anyone.
I am aware of who you are and who your parents were, and that is because I searched for an heir to take my knowledge and use it for a noble purpose.
Can't you at least take a minute and imagine what I went through?
All my friends, family, and anyone I ever knew died while I stood here waiting for someone to seek my power.
Do you know why you were the one to find me?"
"Is it because the Phoenix influenced me?"
Hinote shook his head.
"It is because you seek what I did before I got this power.
Peace." Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Believe it or not, but you aren't the first who sought to find my power. There have been many others who believed Uzushiogakure had more secrets.
I would test them, give them traps, riddles, and more. Eventually, they all failed, and do you know why?"
Ryuu nodded.
"Because they didn't seek to protect, they sought to destroy. They came here searching for power that will help them get vengeance or power, and that's why you didn't let them pass."
Hinote smirked.
"Precisely, an answer like that is the reason you're here, alive and well.
When Tori came to me before he left, he told me you would be the one to impress me. He knew I wouldn't pick anyone, but he knew I would pick you."
Ryuu smiled.
"Well anyway, if you truly want to make it to that child's birth, you better hurry."
Ryuu nodded.
"Besides, while we were fighting, I noticed many things about you."
Ryuu tilted his head.
"Like what?"
"For one, you have a curse mark inside your heart, two you haven't yet unleashed your Uzumaki Kekkei Genkai, three, umm, what was it again…?"
Ryuu dropped his head.
"Give me a damn minute! I'm an old man!
Oh, that's it, you bear a great Dōjutsu and you still don't know or understand it.
Your Sharingan at base is incredibly gifted, I'm sure you don't know this, but your Mangekyou ability isn't what you think it is.
In fact, I think you waste too much chakra using the Mangekyou by itself. Your base Sharingan is the epitome of Sharingan.
It sees better, predicts better, and more importantly, with your base Sharingan you're able to copy any jutsu including Kekkei Genkai, your Mangekyou Sharingan however increases the power of that jutsu by nearly 10 times the original power, it even copies some Dojutsu.
Other than that, I also need to get rid of your mutilated blood.
Sigh."
Ryuu's eyes widened, and he blinked twice before following Hinote.
"You noticed all of that after such a brief fight…
You truly are a genius."
And with that being said, Ryuu began his training in fuinjutsu with Hinote.
