Chapter 91 - Hanzo Of The Salamander

'I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried that the Kazekage would find out about our operation, he's known to be intelligent and analytical.

He doesn't know that I can sense the Anbu following me.'

Ryuji grabbed his gourd and put it on his back.

"Knock knock knock!" He went to open the door.

In front of him stood a fairly tall lady who had brown eyes and She was fair-skinned, had green hair that she tied in a bun on top of her head with a hair needle running through it and short and long strands of hair with orange tips framing each side of her face.

She wore a sleeveless top and purple arm-warmers which extend up to her shoulders and had bandages around her tights and ankles.

"Hi, I'm Pakura, before we leave, you should know this, I'm not leaving Amegakure without our comrades, let's go."

"I'm Ryuji, don't worry about me, my mission is the same as yours and I'll protect you and our comrades."

He walked away.

'Protect me? I can't believe I have to deal with this kid.'

She said to herself.

They left the village and headed into Amegakure.

"Have you ever been to Amegakure?"

She asked.

Ryuji shook his head.

"I've only been near the borders of Kumogakure."

"I see…

Well, if we're going to be partners, then we need to know each other's moves, don't we?" Ryuji nodded.

"I'm not bad at shuriken jutsu, I'm alright at fire release, and I'm pretty good in wind style jutsu, that's all."

She stopped running.

"What's wrong?"

"You're telling me the Kazekage insisted you join me and the only things you know are basic ninjutsu?"

He nodded.

"There's that and probably the fact that I also have magnet release like him and his apprentice."

Her eyes widened.

"Is that why you carry that gourd?"

He nodded.

"Yes, that's why I carry the gourd, the sand inside has many metals combined with my chakra too, I use that to control it better than most shinobi.

And I can also create iron sand."

She nodded.

"We shouldn't stop anymore, our comrades might be in trouble."

Ryuji said.

"Don't you want to know what my abilities are?"

He shook his head.

"I already know what you can do, it's scorch release, right?" She nodded.

"One of the hottest flames on earth, right?"

She shook her head.

"It's hotter than anything and burns instantly and also burns all the water inside my target's body."

He shook his head.

"It's not hotter than the flames of Ryuu Uchiha." Her eyes widened.

"Anyway, let's go."

He started running ahead.

She curiously looked at him.

'And what do you know about Ryuu Uchiha?'

After asking herself that she followed him.

After a day of traveling, they finally reached the borders of Amegakure, they searched for any clues to find where their shinobi were but they found nothing.

"We have to go get them, they're our comrades and they too have a family, I know that the priority is to find out what happened but we can't leave them."

"I know." Her eyes widened.

"We have to save them but…

As soon as we step in, they will already know we're here, are you ready?"

She nodded.

"Transformation jutsu!" Ryuu transformed into a man wearing the Amegakure uniform.

"Why do you want to save them? Usually, no one would risk their lives for their comrades."

"Should I have a reason?" He asked.

Ryuji left Pakura speechless; she found Ryuji to be strange, nearly everyone in Sunagakure prioritizes the mission above everything.

"Let's go!" He ran into Amegakure.

"Let's avoid fighting as much as possible, just follow me, I can sense them."

She nodded.

Ryuu placed his hand on the ground and closed his eyes.

'All I have to do is find where they keep their prisoners, this shouldn't be hard.'

He said to himself.

"Let's go to the local market, I'm sure someone will talk."

Ryuu lead the way.

They reached the market; it was kind of busy.

'Even though people aren't fighting in Amegakure some shinobi are trying to infiltrate the village, they'll get caught, unlike me, they don't know how to hide their chakra signature, well, as long as they aren't shinobi from Konohagakure, everything is fine.'

"How much for these?" He had a bag of fruits.

"Oh, thank you." He said as he left.

"Say, I heard some of my comrades say that some stupid Sunagakure shinobi were taken, is that true?"

He nodded.

"That's right, Hanzo-sama is interrogating them, he's trying to find out if there are more of them, I heard some of my customers talking about it the other day."

He nodded.

"I see…

Thanks again." He left.

'That Anbu following us is bothersome, and so is Pakura, I need to lose them even if it's for a second.

Jiraiya-sensei will need me to help him break those prisoners out without getting caught.'

Ryuji entered a hotel.

'The rooms are cheap in Amegakure, this is because of the damage caused by the previous war, they still haven't recovered.'

"Good idea, I bet we're going to be here for a while, we should probably order a room."

"There's only one room left."

Ryuji and Pakura glanced at each other.

'Damn it.' They both said to themselves.

"It's fine, we'll take it, right?" She nodded.

"You better not be a pervert."

Ryuji nodded.

"Whatever, I'm going to take a shower, so those words are for yourself."

Ryuji left and went to the shower.

'I'm finally alone, except for that Anbu shinobi, but I can get rid of him easily.'

He switched on the hot water.

The steam filled the room and then he used his ash to get rid of his chakra.

"I've lost him?" The Anbu member looked for Ryuu to see where he went.

"Wood clone jutsu." Ryuu made a clone, and it teleported away.

He took away his chakra and went to take a shower.

"Hmph, too easy." After taking a shower he went back to see Pakura.

"Any ideas on how to find them?"

Ryuji shook his head.

"Anyway, earlier you spoke about Ryuu Uchiha, have you ever had an encounter with him?"

Ryuji shook his head.

"I just know a lot about him, I've heard a lot of stories about him, but not much. I know little information about him because people rarely get to see him and live."

She scoffed.

"From what I hear, he sounds like a myth because at least there are warning posters of the yellow flash of the leaf."

Ryuji chuckled.

"You're right."

"I found them." Her eyes widened.

"There's a camp near their leaders' home, if we're going to save them, we have to hurry." She nodded.

Ryuji vanished to sand, and Pakura vanished in a blur of lines.

He appeared above the camp, and Pakura appeared beside him shortly after.

"We don't want to cause problems, so let's do this quietly." He nodded.

Ryuji used a scroll and unsealed a bow with some arrows.

He activated his Mangekyou Sharingan and aimed.

He used wind style to enhance the speed of his arrows and once his arrows were finished; he used his iron sand to make more; they were heavier but useful.

After a minute, all the bodies had dropped.

"You're not bad with that." He nodded.

"I'm better than not bad."

"Don't push it."

He smiled.

She left to free the remaining shinobi.

"So, Sunagakure do care for their shinobi."

The man above said.

He wore a flak jacket with swirls on the chest plate, standard shinobi sandals, and a dark cloak that reached down below his waist. And had long blonde hair reaching his back, and he held a chain sickle.

"Hanzo." Ryuji clenched his fist.

"Pakura, take them and escape as fast as you can, I'll hold him back as much as I can."

"Are you kidding me? I'm not leaving you alone! You'll die here!" He shook his head.

"Just leave, I'll be fine, this is my way to show loyalty to Sunagakure."

"Don't tell me you Suna shinobi came here unprepared, you know, unpreparedness is one's greatest enemy."

He swung his sickle towards them.

"Whoosh!" Ryuji's iron sand blocked it.

"Go, save all our comrades, I'll catch up shortly."

He unsealed two swords and held them in each hand.

"Don't die here, kid." Ryuji nodded.

He used his iron sand to build a platform and flew towards Hanzo.

"Whoosh!" Hanzo threw shurikens toward Ryuji but he blocked them using a shield.

"Poisonous mist!"

He exhaled a massive amount of poisonous gas.

"Wind Style: compression bomb!" He shot out a massive compression bomb and it passed through the gas and hit Hanzo.

"Urgh!"

He hit his back on the wall.

*Poof!* He removed the transformation jutsu.

'Red hair and red eyes, Ryuu Uchiha.'

Hanzo said to himself as he recognized him.

"Ryuu Uchiha eh? You've infiltrated Sunagakure and convinced them that you were born in the land of wind."

Ryuu smirked and nodded.

"That's right."

"Hmph, and why show me this? Why show me and why bother telling me about this?"

"Because…" He sealed both swords.

"You won't get to remember this encounter, even the Anbu black op that has been following me won't remember this."

"In that case."

"Summoning Ibuse poisoning!"

The ground started rumbling.

"Boom!" A giant salamander appeared and swallowed Ryuu.

"It's uncomfortable in here, let me make some space."

He unsealed a sword.

"Phoenix Flame spear!"

The sizzling sound of the spear of Phoenix Flame cutting through the salamander haunted Hanzo and his eyes widened.

"What kind of power is this?"

The salamander collapsed in pain.

Ryuu cut his way through and walked out of the salamander covered in its poisonous acid.

He entered Phoenix Flame and healed himself.

He glared at Hanzo and his eyes spun around and formed a four-pointed pinwheel.

Hanzo froze up and Ryuu walked toward him.

"You will not harm any Konohagakure shinobi and you will forget that I was ever here, ignore my presence in Amegakure." He nodded.

Ryuu activated Phoenix in his eyes and healed then left.

Ryuu extended his flames and healed the salamander before teleporting behind the Anbu shinobi.

"Forget that you've seen me here and head back to the village with Pakura."

He nodded and vanished.

'Now I can begin running my errands in Amegakure.'
