3 months had passed and in those 3 months Ryuu completely mastered basic medical ninjutsu, he would often train with Tsunade whenever he wasn't busy, but that was a problem because he had many missions to do.
Ryuu and Obito had become great friends because if all the training they did he had mastered his chakra control well he could even walk on water and had worked on his fire release, it had proven to be quite difficult because he wasn't as talented as Ryuu and Kakashi.
Meanwhile, Kakashi had recently asked to graduate early, he had become more powerful as well. His chakra reserves had grown a lot since Ryuu started training more with him and he was taught other Ninjutsu by him.
Ryuu had also improved a lot not only in medical ninjutsu but also in taijutsu, but his medical ninjutsu skills had been so amazing he was made the youngest medical-nin ever when he went to work in the hospital he always had both fans admiring and jealous Coworkers.
He had gained new Jutsus and made his own, especially in water and lightning style, he used his book to learn many Jutsus, but he still hadn't mastered lightning chakra mode.
But today, it was a rainy and gloomy day and Sakumo was visiting his wife's grave.
"I can't believe Kakashi is going to graduate this early, it feels like just yesterday he attended his first day, I wish you were here to see him with me, you would've loved Ryuu as well, him and Kakashi get along perfectly, it's like watching Hanzo and I all over again anyway, I miss you."
Sakumo said as he stood over the grave of his wife.
He left and went back home.
Ryuu had his first A-rank mission with Minato and Jiraiya near iwa. meanwhile Kakashi was in school. Even though he applied to graduate early, he still had to go to school.
Sakumo was on his way back home when he got stopped by an Anbu black ops member.
"Hokage-sama is requesting your presence, he says it's urgent and you're the only one who can do it."
He nodded and went to the Hokage's office, he didn't waste time and entered immediately.
He found that a meeting had been called between the Hokage and the village elders.
"You called for me?"
He nodded.
"Recently, Danzo's root members have discovered that there are reports that Kumogakure and Iwagakure have been strengthening their military forces.
Earlier this year a group of both Kumo and Iwa shinobi were spotted by a scout from Danzo's root infiltrating the land of fire, he's been reporting to us weekly, the latest report says that they're heading to the land of rice paddies just near our borders.
That's a problem because recently the daimyo of the land of fire has left some documents which have some of our plans for the war. Kumogakure has stolen these documents and we're expecting Iwagakure to attempt intercepting them before they go back to the land of lightning.
Sakumo, you're in charge of this mission, it's an S-rank mission, and it's not only a mission that should remain secret but it's also of great importance to the village, your mission is to retrieve those documents no matter what the cost is and as soon as possible, if you don't Konoha will be at a great disadvantage.
I would've given you a better team, but this is something that no one expected and we're short of shinobis who qualify for such a mission. They're already on other missions, but they will do."
He gave Sakumo a document containing his teammate's profile.
"Akira and Akio, they're the only ones left?"
He nodded.
He left to prepare for his mission, he wrote a letter to Kakashi and Ryuu explaining that he is on an S-rank mission but he'll be back, he got all his supplies and met up with his team at the gate.
He had little time, so he didn't give that much information about the mission, and they left.
Meanwhile, in the root hideout.
Danzo was watching his new prospect's train from above.
"After this mission, the white fang of the leaf will be no more, this mission is an ambush, even Sarutobi himself would struggle with this, there's nearly an army after those documents.
I've leaked the location of those documents to every village and in times like this either of them will do anything for information against their enemy, they all want to get through Konoha's defense but those documents were made years ago it will be no good once they have them.
It will simply be bloodshed for no reason. Even if Sakumo can catch up to them, he will fail this mission."
He said to himself with an evil grin.
Somewhere near Iwagakure…
"Jiraiya-sensei, after this mission you have to teach me Sage mode."
Jiraiya looked away, slapping his forehead.
For weeks Ryuu has been trying to convince him to take him to Mt Myoboku to learn sage mode or even just a Summoning Jutsu.
"Look kid, if I agree, will you stop bothering me?"
I nodded.
"Have you sensed any enemies nearby?" Minato asked.
Ryuu placed his hand on the ground and closed his eyes.
"This is bad!"
Ryuu felt a massive amount of chakra within someone.
"Ryuu, what's wrong?"
Jiraiya asked.
"They sent a Jinchuriki!"
Minato and Jiraiya's eyes widened
"Can you tell who it is?"
Jiraiya asked.
"No, the best information I can give you from here is that it's not an ordinary jinchuriki. It has strange chakra signals."
Ryuu said.
"Are you sure?" Minato asked.
I nodded.
"A tailed beast's chakra radiates from far, that's how I'm able to tell when big sis Kushina is near, like that day in your house."
Minato started sweating, remembering that day.
"Well, that makes things far worse for us."
Jiraiya said.
"Well, let's go back to the Inn we were staying at, I'll leave a seal here, we'll come back after making a plan," Ryuu said.
They nodded, and Minato teleported with Jiraiya.
Later that night, Ryuu woke up for a drink of water, he went to grab a cup and found Minato pacing around the room.
"Uh, Big bro, are you ok?"
He was a little shaken, he didn't even realize Ryuu when he walked in on him.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it's just that I haven't come up with a jutsu in so long, I hate being this stationary and if I don't increase my arsenal of Ninjutsu being Hokage will be a long shot, I can't just rely on flying Raijin and fuinjutsu, so I'm thinking of a jutsu."
Ryuu nodded.
"Don't think about it too much, the idea will come when you need it most, naturally that's how these things work, right?"
He nodded.
"Sometimes I forget you're still a kid."
He said.
I left him and went back to sleep.
The trio left in the morning, Ryuu went to scout the area because he had the best sensory abilities, while Jiraiya and Minato stayed behind planning their next move.
"If I can just find out which Jinchuriki it is, that could help us a lot."
He said as he followed him from afar.
Suddenly, he stopped moving.
"Why did he stop? Did he find out I'm following him?"
He asked himself.
"It doesn't matter, all I have to do is find out who it is. Fighting a Jinchuriki by myself won't be easy, especially judging from that amount of chakra, this guy is no joke."
Ryuu continued to tail the Jinchuriki, he wasn't far from him, he stayed back not to get discovered.
Meanwhile, it had been a day since Sakumo took off and Sakumo was catching up to the Kumogakure shinobi,
His team was formed of a sensory type Akio, he specialized in earth style.
A fire-style user from the Sarutobi clan, his name was Akira they were both good enough to be in the Anbu black ops.
"Sakumo-sama, we're getting close. I found this, they might have ripped it off in a hurry." He gave Sakumo a piece of cloth.
"Great work, this will help us track them down."
"Summoning Jutsu!"
A pack of ninken appeared out of a cloud of white smoke.
"Bingo, I need you to find this guy." He gave the leader the ripped cloth.
Bingo was a large German shepherd ninken with grey hair, like most ninken, he had a great sense of smell and he could talk.
"That's the first thing you tell me after all this time?"
Sakumo gave a minor scratch on his head and said.
"I'm sorry but I don't have enough time to catch up, this is an S-rank mission, I hope you understand." He nodded.
Bingo sniffed the shirt and pointed in the direction the scent was.
"Follow me."
He said as he took off to find the scent with his pack.
Sakumo and his team followed the ninkens.
After a while, they were closer to them.
Akio touched the ground to sense where they were.
"I can sense their chakra now, Sakumo-sama, they have multiple shinobis there, they're too many, if we want to complete this mission we have to do it quickly or silently," Akio said.
"Well, it's too late to back down now.
Now that they knew what direction they were in, they went faster.
