The last time we came here to train with Minato, Kushina, and Jiraiya, but I ended up unsealing the nine tails. I wonder how that's going on.
As Ryuu was thinking about it, Kushina noticed that they had arrived.
"Kakashi-Kun, Ryuu-Kun?" She ran towards Kakashi and Ryuu to give them a bear hug. They couldn't do anything to stop her. "CRACK"
"Ok, I'm pretty sure I've heard Kakashi's bones snap!"
Minato was unpacking his and Kushina's things. It looks like she forced him to unpack hers, too. I decided not to say anything and just smile. That's usually the best choice here.
After a few minutes, Minato was done unpacking and came to us.
"Oh hey Kakashi, I haven't seen you in a while. I didn't think Ryuu was bringing you here as well. I hope you're not skipping school."
"Of course he's here. We go everywhere together. I hope we get put in the same team as well once he graduates from the academy." I responded.
"Anyway, I hope you're ready for flying raijin training Ryuu."
I smiled and said,
"Of course I'm ready. I've been ready for a long time."
"Great, then let's get started."
Minato said with a smile as he handed me four enormous books.
"These are books that will help you understand. The Jutsu better read them all than we test if you have space-time chakra nature."
Ryuu's smile dropped to a frown.
"What the hell is this? Won't it be easier to just test me first and then tell me to read this, this feels more like a punishment more than a lesson, you know?"
Minato just smiled and left me there.
"Fine then, I can play this game too Big bro." Ryuu said with a smirk.
"Shadow clone Jutsu!"
Ryuu created three for each book. They all opened their Sharingan to read faster.
"Hey, that's cheating," Minato said.
Kakashi places his hand on Minato's shoulder and said "well get used to it."
Minato looked down and just left Ryuu to read it all.
They left Ryuu reading with his legs crossed and his Sharingan open.
"There's no way Ryuu can finish these books today. It took me nearly a week to finish." Minato said
"Well, you'd be surprised how fast he can read. Don't forget the finished the exam in record time," Kakashi responded.
"Well, I skipped the boring parts. If he finishes these books, he'll become a master at fuinjutsu and second to none, although not all those books are for fuinjutsu, some of them are also for space-time ninjutsu." Kushina added.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see exactly how long it will actually take for him to finish. Till then, let's do a little training." Minato said, and the rest nodded.
Thirty minutes later…
"I'm done!"
Everyone's jaws dropped.
Minato finally came back to his senses and said.
"But, we barely got started with our training, that's. impossible, are you sure you read it all?" Ryuu nodded.
"You overestimated this book. It didn't really take you more than a day, right?"
Minato's head dropped, and he scratched his head, saying.
"Of course not. I was only joking." A tick appeared on his head and a little sweat as he said that.
"BOOM!" Kushina punched Minato do hard, and he flew far into the water, "You liar! What did I say I would do if I caught you lying again!?" Minato got up and had a bump on his head.
"I'm sorry, Kushina, but how am I supposed to teach Ryuu Flying Raijin with a bruised head?"
"Whoops, don't worry, you'll be fine. It's not that bad. There's barely anything there." She said as she was scratching the back of her head.
"He's right, you know. I don't want a broken teacher." A tick appeared on Kushina's head and she looked at me.
"Stay out of this brat!" Cold sweat appeared on Ryuu's head, and his skin went pale.
"I'm sorry, Big sis, please forgive Big brother Minato and I. We'll take you out for some dinner later, if that makes it better."
She calmed down,
"You will?"
"We will?"
Minato and Kushina both asked.
"Yup we will and because he's my elder brother and the one who started it, he'll pay for everything, right, Minato?"
Ryuu said as he held Minato's shoulder.
Minato thought about it for a second. He knew Ryuu played him, but he had no other choice. He agreed and Kushina ran in to hug him.
While hugging her, he glared at Ryuu with cold eyes.
He and Kakashi just chuckled in silence.
"Anyway, can Big brother and I get to training?" I asked
"Right, sorry, I got a little carried away there. Kakashi, let's go over there and leave these two to carry on."
Kushina said as she dragged Kakashi.
"Ryuu help me!" Kakashi tried escaping but her grip was too strong and Ryuu just pretended he didn't see anything.
"Anyway, now that you've read the books, I'm sure you have a greater understanding of what we'll do today, here take this."
Minato handed Ryuu a weird-looking paper. It looks like the paper used when deciding your chakra nature, but darker.
"Well, as you can see this paper resembles the one used deciding your chakra nature, it isn't that same paper but it holds nearly the same functions, this paper enhances as much of the space-time chakra around you as it can and if you feel it, that means you have a space-time affinity, but remember, space-time affinity is very rare so don't be mad if you don't have it."
He said, and Ryuu nodded.
Ryuu placed his finger on the paper just like he did when he checked his chakra affinity but it did nothing, he checked if he placed it right but a few moments later he felt a sudden rush of energy not just flowing around his body but it was everywhere especially with his sensory abilities he felt it everywhere, he could practically see it.
"So? does it work?" Minato asked, but little did he know Ryuu was lost looking at all the energy around him.
"Ryuu, snap out of it!" Minato shook Ryuu from his shoulder while calling him.
Finally, Ryuu came back and said,
"Do you see it as well as I do, Big bro?"
Minato shook his head and folded his arms, saying,
"Judging from how you reacted, that can only mean it worked and you have space-time affinity." Ryuu nodded.
"Well then, let's begin, but first I have to warn you, flying Raijin isn't an S-rank ninjutsu for nothing, it's powerful and even more dangerous, if you can't do it properly. You might die or lose a limb, you have to be presice with this jutsu, now knowing this do you still want to continue this training?" He asked
"Of course I want to continue, we are ninja we do dangerous stuff all the time, plus I told you I'd help you with Mastering it how can I help when I do not know on how to Do it and even more importantly I plan on keeping my word." Ryuu said.
Minato smiled and nodded.
"Let's get started then. You're lucky you have me to teach you this jutsu. I've already removed the chakra problem now. All I have to improve is my range and speed."
He said as he took a scroll from his bag.
"Umm Minato, what are we doing with scrolls?" Ryuu curiously asked.
"Huh, well, the first thing you'll have to do is develop your own seal,
with these seals, you'll be able to identify where you want to go, think of them like the alphabet you have point A point B, and point C but in this case, you have to feel a connection with these seals you can't use anyone else's seal nor can you use any random seal it has to be your own this is what kills most people while using flying Raijin, if you don't have a connection with them you will get lost in a dimension out of space and time and you'll be lucky to come back alive without a few limbs."
Ryuu felt a slight chill down his spine when Minato said that last part.
"But anyway, don't get scared. Now you have me to guide you." Minato's words didn't comfort me as much as they should've.
I went to make my seal.
"Hm, wonder what I should write about it." Ryuu put his finger on his chin and started thinking about it.
"Well, that's not important right now. You can change it at, anytime so for today just put the word shinobi so we can move on quicker." Minato said.
Ryuu nodded and put the word "Shinobi."
"Ok, now that you've made your own seal, you can learn how to teleport and do the jutsu." Ryuu nodded in excitement.
"Now place a seal on a different Kunai and then listen to exactly what I say. It's really important." Minato said.
Ryuu placed another seal on a kunai, then looked at Minato for more instructions.
