1. Mysterious Night
"If you find a time machine that can take you to the future... What will you do when the future you see isn't what you want it to be?"

My name is Zie, and I am an end-year student in the nursing faculty at a university in this city. I am currently doing field practice at a private hospital quite far from my boarding house. This hospital is named Family Hope Hospital, and this hospital is one of the best-selling hospitals because it is the only private hospital in this city.
It's been almost four weeks, we faculty students have been in charge at Family Hope Hospital, and it's been almost a week that four of my friends and I have shifted in the VIP room, tonight I have a night shift, and my partner tonight is the wimpy Ali.
I went on shift a bit lazy tonight even though I still tried to come before the shift's change. Arriving at the nurse's station, it turned out that Ali was already there doing the shift with Hasna and Ria. When he saw my arrival, Ali looked at me for a moment and immediately turned to Ria, who explained a patient who needed more attention.
I approached them after shaking hands with the three nurses in charge that night, Bro Indra, Ms. Anya, and Ms. Atikah. I immediately shook my hands with Hasna and Ria but ignored Ali. Seeing my behavior, Hasna and Ria immediately laughed, Even though they understood that Ali and I had never gotten along. There's just something that makes Ali and I always argue, even for trivial matters.
"Those who get along, Zie, Al," teased Hasna, laughing, making the nurses in charge turn their attention to us.
"What does it look like?" asked Ms. Anya enthusiastically as if she got new gossip material.
"It's okay, ma'am, only Zie is sulking with Ali, Ms," this time, it was Ria who answered Anya's question.
I glared at Ria and pinched her hard, and the girl groaned while laughing, accompanied by laughter from everyone in the nurse's room except for Ali and me.
I quickly avoided them by keeping myself busy opening patient records and then preparing injections for patients receiving evening injections. Tonight there were only ten patients out of fifteen available bed capacities, and only six patients received injections.
Hasna and Ria still teased me until they said goodbye, and it made me even angrier at Ali for responding to their jokes.
I looked at Ali with disgust, but the guy looked at me with a smile, making Ms. Anya even more excited to tease us. Ali's face returned flat when Ms. Anya was no longer near us. I rushed to the infusion bottle storage area when a patient's family reported the infusion ran out and immediately went to the patient's room to replace it.
Since the beginning of college, Ali and I have never gotten along, even though it started with trivial things. I used to be annoyed with him because the chair I was about to sit in was preceded by him even though he had put my book there, but he moved the book back. We argued because neither of us wanted to budge. Since then, Ali and I have always argued, even if it was only over a very trivial matter. Anyway, I don't want to give up on him, and vice versa, and everyone in our class knows that very well.
A few moments later, I was back in the nurse's station. I saw Ms. Atikah writing in the report book, Bro Indra talked to the patient's family, and Ms. Anya was preparing the patient's medicine for tomorrow with Ali's help.
Suddenly I heard my phone ringing, and I slightly moved away from them to receive a call from Harsya.
"Night, dear..." said Harsya softly, making me flutter because I miss him so much. It's been two months since we've been busy. "What are you doing? I miss you,"
I smiled widely before replying to him. Harsya is my senior, and he's working in a government hospital in this city. He was in the third grade when I had just entered college. Three months ago, we got engaged, and we plan to get married soon after I graduate.
Being Harsya's wife and spending time together until we are old is what I dream of most in my life. I love him so much. Harsya is handsome and popular, he is also smart and skilled, but the most important thing for me is that he loves me very much and cares for me very much.
