Kyra felt the ground slip beneath her feet hearing his bold confession. No, her heart wasn't ready yet to take things a step ahead.
"Hahaha, nice one." She laughed out loud, partly nervous and jumping inside at his words.
"I am serious, Kyra." Kevin stopped treating her bruise and when he looked up at her, Kyra's heart skipped a beat.
The blazing intensity in his eyes made her blood rush to her cheeks and taint them fully red. They briefly stared into each other's eyes before Kevin continued treating her wounds.
And when his fingers graced her ankle, Kyra flinched not in pain but at his touch. The cool sensation of the cream didn't make any difference as her skin burned hot and she looked away, trying to hide the color change on her face.
