"What what's wrong, Kevin?" Kyra asked lightly patting his head.
He didn't reply and just clung to her thumb and cried out loud. It was a really scary nightmare and he wasn't sure how Kyra endured them all these years.
"Alright, calm down." She slowly patted his head as Kevin didn't stop.
Kevin sniffled and looked up at her. She was fine but he still couldn't help but worry about her future.
"I I don't," He sobbed looking up at her, and then mumbled, "don't want you to get hurt."
Kyra blinked in confusion. Did he have a nightmare about her? But his words just touched her deeply. No one has ever expressed so genuinely as he did.
"Why would I get hurt?" Wiping away his tears with her free hand, she continued, "Who would dare to hurt me?"
Taking a tissue, she slowly wiped his face as his tears didn't stop and sighed out loud. She was already having her share of nightmares and he didn't deserve to go through them because of her.
