Kyra's flat.
"Good night," Kyra mumbled to the frog before turning off the lights. She let the lamp stay as she might not sleep even for a glimpse tonight.
"Good night," The frog replied, staying on the nightstand and sighed staring at her back. She was feeling lonely and he had no idea how to comfort her.
Turning around, he settled on the pillow as she had let him sleep there for a few days now. The nightstand was too rigid for his fragile body and this comfy pillow was letting him much peacefully now.
Both of them had their eyes closed but couldn't sleep at all. Kyra's muffled cries reached his ears but Kevin didn't turn around. He couldn't calm her down if he tried and letting her go through those emotions was the right thing to do for her.
It took a few more minutes for her to calm down and he sighed when he heard soft breathing. Closing his eyes, he crawled up like a tadpole and tried sleeping for a few hours.
