"She is sweet, kind, and isn't grumpy at all unlike you, so of course I like her." Kevin added holding back his smile when Kyra's lips curved into a small unnoticeable pout.
"Why? You don't like her?" He asked sipping his wine and Kyra's lip stretched into a fake smile.
Gulping down the beer that felt sour, she shook her head and replied, "No, I am happy for you both."
"Pfft," Kevin almost spit his beer, coughing and laughing as she looked at him in confusion. He looked at her and laughed again shaking his head.
"I like her because she is a good person. Not romantically," He corrected her thoughts with a smile. Somewhere deep down, he got answers to his questions through her reaction, a hope that Anya might be true to her intuitions.
"Oh," Kyra's brow rose up in surprise and she nodded, a part of her felt relieved which she quite didn't understand. "But you two really look like a good match." She confessed... mostly to herself.
