"Oh," Kyra nodded and forced out a smile. Removing her hand from Kevin's arm, she mumbled, " That's good. I will go grab something to eat."
"Let me come with you," Kevin said as she turned around to leave. He held her hand and stopped her when Kyra didn't reply and started walking away.
"But we have to meet Father at the cottage," Anya worriedly interrupted and Kevin's face hardened realizing the same.
"It's fine! You should go meet him first," Kyra said retracting her hand with an awkward smile. But when Kevin stood between them, confused and feeling guilty, she pushed him towards the bridge and added, "Hurry and meet him at the cottage. I will join you in a while."
Bowing to Anya with a neutral smile, she escaped from that awkward situation. She shrugged away the tension she felt standing between them and sighed before running towards Anna and Albert who were at the bridge.
