Max got to school and was disappointed that Sam wasn't in school yet. He called his phone but it was not reachable. He went over to Elena.
'Hi. How are you?',he asked with a smile
'I'm fine',she replied pressing against him. 'Wheres Sam?',she asked.
'I dont know too. Maybe he was studying too much and he fell asleep past the time',Max said and Elena gave him a long stare. 'What?',he asked feeling embarrassed the way she's staring.
'Did you get in a fight?',she asked.
'Huh?,....No..I didn't ',He stammered and she shook her head. 'I know. You've got bruises on your face.',she said as she took the books in her hands and cleared her throat
'I want to invite you to supper anytime you are ready',she said and left. Then Luke came in carrying a sad and worried look on his face.
'Whats wrong?',Max asked changing into a serious expression.
'Its Sam. He's in a critical condition',Luke dropped the bombshell and it exploded in Max ears...
