'I have a weird feeling about him', Luke finally blurted after some minutes of silence between him and Max. They had tried to start up talking but the conversation didn't seem to flow well.
'I agree', Max said and saw Elena. Luke traced his view and cleared his throat. 'If I were you, I would take my shot. She likes you, it's obvious', Luke whispered with a wide grin happy that they found someone to talk about.
'What if she rejects me?, What if she doesn't accept? What if she is just being nice with no feelings attached?', Max asked worriedly and held his forehead.
'Hey, quit the what if's. You want her, then you take her. Be a predator once', Luke said smiling demonstrating how a predator acts. 'Not to talk of you being an actual predator', he added and received a friendly jab from Max.
'Oh okay.' Max stood up and went to her seat. He smiled at her and as he was about to speak, his phone rang and he cleared his throat and picked it. After murmuring few things with the caller. He hung up and looked at Luke.
Luke got the signal and quickly stood up and went over to him. 'Am sorry, Elena. I want to spend some time with you. But something came up and I really need to go', he snapped.
'Okay', she replied reluctantly and he went flashed a quick smile and both went away. But she stared at them both as they made their way out and a smirk curved on her mouth.

'Am sorry. The blood manipulation uses whatever blood left in the users body' Daryl winced and caressed Gina.
'Its okay. Am good', Gina retorted and looked at her wrist.
'How'd you know he's in a state like this?', Thawn asked with a thankful look on his face and Gina smiled painfully.
'I don't know. I just felt my neck itch badly and out of impulse I was on my way here. No one told me where to go.' Gina replied glancing at Daryl who put his head down in shame.
'The bond is more serious than I thought', Kado gasped.
Sam helped her stand and laid her on a chair. 'How are you feeling?', he asked. ' I'm good,' she replied looking at him.
'Did you call Max?', Daryl asked sniffing.
'Yes I did', Sam replied. Not too long Max and Luke dashed in. Both went over to Gina checking on her but Luke threw a hard glare at Daryl.
'Are you okay?', Both chorused the question. Right away, Gina hugged Luke and held Max face.
'Thank you. I really appreciate. Am good', she grunted while nodding
Luke stood up and grabbed Daryl. 'What the hell happened!?', he gritted his teeth.
'Hey. It's okay. It wasn't his fault. He went over his limit', Thawn said and separated Luke from Daryl who just stood there not doing anything
'Limit? How?', Max asked. Thawn tried to talk but Daryl eyed him and he stopped. 'I have a hidden ability called Blood Manipulation. It is one of the most powerful ability a vampire can possess. And it's gift given to Clans but it fell into my hands this time. But I haven't mastered it well enough because I was made a target cause of it. My brothers were killed while protecting me from my enemies.', he explained but deeply he knew he hadn't known the truth about his brothers but at least that is what he believed.
'Why do they want the power from you? Since it's one of the most powerful meaning there should be other powerful abilities there?', Sam asked slightly panicked.
'Another clan wanted the power. And they have allies more than my clan. This clan claimed they owned the ability that my father stole it from them.', he explained with a sour expression on his face.
'So you mean this ability can be transferred?', Kado asked curiously.
'Yes. But it is by death. That is why once it has been given to someone until the person dies it can't be transferred' Daryl said still thinking how possibly his father would have died. 'Was it when he was trying to pass him his power?', he knew no answer to his inner questions now. But he hoped more than anything that his father still be alive with his supposedly brothers.
'Okay. But what prompted you to go over your limit hurting my sister?', Luke asked with fury written over all his face
'I attempted to use the blood manipulation to get the blood of the late professor killer. But as I told you guys, am not yet perfect with mastering it. That's when I lost it. And am very sorry', he said worriedly with his sour expression not changing at all.
'How can the bond be broken?', Sam asked and others stared at him including Gina.
'I don't know... It's not a mating bond. I guess it will go by itself', Daryl said with an exhale.
'I don't get it. Why will she be drawn to you drinking her blood?', Max asked clearly still slightly confused.
'Its the venom. Vampire venom gives extreme pleasure and it's addictive,' Daryl said. With that been said Luke calmed down and went over his sister.
'Well, you have to get rid of it somehow, I don't want my sister getting addicted to her blood being sucked', Luke murmured but the look on Daryl's face made it obvious he heard him. 'No offence, okay?, I'm just worried for my sister', Luke added when he noticed Daryl's look.
'Non taken. I would fight the urge, but it will soon fade. Am sorry', Daryl said.
'Its okay, Daryl', Gina said and she nodded to Sam to help her up which he did. She went to Daryl and hugged him. 'Promise me, you won't make anyone their blood bag without letting them know', she said looking at him and he gritted his teeth but he knew this was something he needed to do if he wants to redeem himself.
'I promise', Daryl replied after alot pinching and biting of himself in his head. Then others smiled and patted each other.
'So,what do we have on the killer?', Max asked clearing his throat.
'I have his blood', Daryl replied
'Yeah, what can we do with his blood exactly?', Sam asked rolling his eyes.
'I can sense him when he's near', Daryl said. Others nodded and agreed. Then Max came forward to Daryl. 'Do you think the killer maybe someone in school?', he asked and behind him were the shocked expression on the faces of others.
