The academy staff that was supposed to watch the scene had seen everything. They witnessed how Eden had managed the situation so well. And the fact that he did that with second-year students, which were supposed to be a little more mature than first-year, only added praise to him.
Second-year also were supposed to have seen a lot more things than the first-year students. Be it in terms of lessons, experience, and battle. So even though the second-years who were present on the fifth floor of the library weren't fighters, they still had a lot more experience. So the fact that Eden's illusion had worked so well on them only showed how intelligent he was compared to them.
