When people looted the monsters that they had killed, they had a low chance of actually looting good things. The most common loot was resources. They were used to craft equipment or evolve one's class to a superior level. Then, if some were a little bit luckier, they will loot equipment that could either be sold or equipped. And those equipment were always part of a set that would give great bonuses to those who had all the set. Though the drop rate of equipment was dropping as the level of the monster was growing, it was rare for people to only equip equipment from monsters.
So people usually made a mix of crafted and looted equipment, or even sometimes only crafted equipment. After all, it was hard to loot good equipment, so crafting equipment was easier and less time-consuming than looting equipment.
However, Eden didn't loot that. What the boss just dropped was something even rarer. Something that only one person out of a billion would loot.
