Kila and Cayron continued to fight for 2 whole days without finding a trace of any bosses. Meanwhile, Kila manages to level up 2 times, bringing him to level 5, and as a result, he gets a new skill. He also managed to get all the gelatinous panoply, which made his stats jump, especially in INT.

First, he decided not to put all his upgrade characteristics points into INT because he was just a glass cannon. It certainly had its healing water, but how can he use it if he could not even survive a single blow?
Even though +5VIT wasn't much either, it was still better than nothing. He also put +5AGI because with his new spell, he had to be in close range, and what better than to beat a slow enemy by a higher speed. He certainly had almost no strength, but that wasn't really a problem. If he couldn't kill the slimes with a weapon, then he could either liquefy or freeze them. Everything was done to win without getting tired.
Then, his new spell finally took him to fight hand-to-hand. Being a mage certainly means using spells that could destroy a country, but if that same mage gets caught in close range, then he will only meet his death. That's why Kila found it silly to restrict himself to attacking only from a distance.
If a mage did not know hand-to-hand combat, then he will simply be beaten by his opponent. It was extremely well known after all. The weak point of a mage was melee, so once the person reduced the distance, it could be said that this was the end for the mage.
So this skill would certainly not be useful for the other mages, but for him, it perfectly reflected his fighting style. He could even start freezing his enemies when he managed to deliver a blow to the enemy and thus froze him completely with cryonics.
The dungeon was getting so simple that he was even getting bored. And on top of that, he could create the weapon he wanted as long as he had the blueprint for the weapon. He certainly did not have the most complicated blueprint, but the little he had allowed him to fight at close range with a sword, medium with a spear, or long-range with a bow.
Kila could cover all the positions that could be found in fantasy universes, even the support role. It just shows how versatile water and ice were.
Kila could also create a weapon for Cayron, but the latter refused, he preferred to use his elemental weapon more than anything else, so what was the point of forcing him.
So they continued to look for a second boss for the rest of the second day. The dungeon was so homogeneous that it was extremely hard to find your way around. One would have said that the monsters appeared by magic and in places that were always close to them. That's why Kila was starting to have an idea for the appearance of the bosses.
It was said that the first boss had appeared as soon as they had put their feet in the dungeon and that the monsters had come to themselves. So according to his theory, the second boss should appear towards the end of the second day or the beginning of the third day, and the latter would necessarily come to them, regardless of their location. As for the last one, he could only think that it would come towards the sixth or seventh, even if he still hoped that it would be false.
Waiting another 2-3 days just to fight the third boss would simply be an ordeal.
They then reached the end of the day by killing the few slimes that appeared near them. Kila simply used a bow and arrow to be able to freeze enemies from a distance, while Cayron only sent his wind blades to destroy the ice statues. Even he was tired of waiting and wanted to do something other than killing only low-level monsters.
So they continued to wait. They ate the meals that the system gave them every lunch and dinner, but was even fed up with it. It was always the same meal, and the only thing they wanted was to get out of this hell.
It was then that during the beginning of the third day, Kila and Cayron began to hear *BOING* *BOING* that came from quite far away.
When they turned their heads in the direction of the noise, they saw a group of more than 50 slimes. 50 ordinary slimes of all colors, and a slime that seemed to be gray, as well as larger and taller.
Seeing him, Kila couldn't help but sigh. He certainly wanted something complicated but especially not a metal or steel slime. These slimes could take the shape they wanted thanks to the natural liquidity of their breed but remain extremely hard. And according to its color, it could only be one of those slimes.
But that was not the problem.
The problem was that this slime would be extremely resistant, and they had no spells that could penetrate the armor. Nor could he lock it in a bubble because it would simply be too heavy, like a stone sinking to the bottom of the sea. The only way he could think of it was to freeze it, but if he didn't freeze it from the inside, then it would be absolutely useless. The only good point he could think of was that the boss was even slower than average, which will be very advantageous for them. They could simply kill the 50 slimes before attacking the boss.
Kila then created a Giant Bubble worth exactly 200MP and was, therefore, twice the size of the bubble he had used against the first boss. He then began to freeze it so that it became hard. Once it was completely frozen, the bubble fell to the ground instead of continuing to float. However, even if the bubble was frozen, Kila still had absolute control over it.
"Cayron, can you help me speed up that ball of ice?" Kila asked Cayron who nodded while rolling the ball so that it would gain speed.
Cayron then ordered Sylphide to control the wind to speed up the giant ice ball. After 5 minutes of speed accumulation, it was so fast that even Kila had trouble controlling it. However, he still managed to direct it a little towards the group of slime who was always at a fairly good distance from them. The sphere then arrived at full speed towards the slimes before crushing them completely, dying on the spot.
Seeing this, Kila sighed. He knew it would have been easy but not to that extent. They had managed to kill 35 slimes with just one turn of the giant bubble. Kila was even starting to be afraid of seeing the Boss get killed in one go because of the momentum of the bubble.
So he continued to roll the bubble from right to left at full speed to kill the last survivors, while Cayron was behind him, amazed by what Kila was doing. He was almost jealous that he didn't choose water when he could, and let the system choose for him, but he couldn't do anything anymore, he will have to be forced to stay like this until his death.
Kila then continued to roll his bubble in all directions, and, once all the little slime were dead, he began to direct his ball of ice towards the boss. Seeing this, the slime immediately changed shape and looked like a gray shield, so huge and wide that Kila begins to smile when she sees it.
He was glad to see that he wouldn't die just with a scoop of the ice ball.
The ball was moving at full speed towards the slime which was now transformed into a shield, and a few seconds later, at the position of the slime, the 2 objects collided, and a huge BOOM was heard. The noise was so loud that even Kila and Cayron who was a hundred meters from the place of impact heard the noise.
Once the noise had subsided and the dust had dissipated, the mess that had been created by the ball could be seen. The field of grass that was full of life and stretched out before their eyes just a few minutes ago had become completely dead-free.
Not a single grass could be seen where the ball had passed a few seconds ago. However, there was one thing that was standing in all this mess. This thing was none other than the boss.
However, even though the latter was still standing, he seemed extremely bad. So bad that his shield shape was completely curled up inside as if something huge had crushed him. The ball of ice was certainly not very heavy, but with all the momentum that he had taken, it would even be strange that it didn't have this effect.
After finishing observing the situation, Kila decided to take the next step. He had to finish the steel slime before the last one regenerated completely. He then brought back the ball that was breaking before regenerating it with another bubble of frozen water. But this time, instead of creating a ball, he decided to make a spear so that he could completely penetrate his defense.
After a few seconds, a large spear could be seen levitating at ground level, just at the foot of Kila.
"Cayron, can you create a tornado, please? I need momentum for the spear, so try to get it sent as high as you can," Kila asked Cayron who did exactly what was asked of him. He couldn't do anything against such a tough boss so he could only help Kila who seemed to have crazy ideas every time.
Cayron then began to gather the wind around them with the help of sylphide. After a few seconds, this same wind began to assemble before rising in the air. The center of attraction of the mini-tornado was Cayron himself, so cayron was completely vulnerable when he was like that.
Seeing that everything was ready, Kila threw his spear towards the tornado so that it could be sucked in. Once close enough to Cayron, the spear gradually began to take off from the ground before leaving for the air. Seeing this, Kila began to smile and let the spear go into the air.
Cayron served him even more than he thought, and he was delighted to see that he had finished getting used to it. They had even started talking as before during those 3 days of boss searching.
But now was not the time to think about this. He had a boss to kill, and he was ready to finish it. So he began to head towards the boss while his spear was still rising high in the sky. Once the latter was out of sight, Kila began to close his eyes.
When he did that, he could see his 'bubbles' and thus better control them. After seeing how high it was, he couldn't help but be happy. It was even higher than he thought. So he began to bring it down again, like a meteorite that would fall on a planet.
It had so much momentum that there was even red light that could be seen around the spear. Once the spear was visible with the naked eye, Kila opened his eyes again and looked at the slime which was still regenerating as if he were looking at his prey.
"Die," Kila said in an extremely terrifying voice as if the reaper herself was present on the battlefield. Swinging his arm up and down, as if to show the direction the spear had to take to hit its target head-on.
And as if the spear had understood what his master desired, it threw itself directly on the slime by piercing it from top to bottom, as if it were giving a divine judgment. The spear had so much momentum that the steel of the slime could do absolutely nothing, and was therefore pierced at once, like a knife that would cut butter, without any resistance.
Once the spear had finished piercing the slime and it had touched the ground, it created an explosion that disintegrated the slime's body as well as the ground all around the impact within a radius of 10 meters of diameter. The power was such that even Cayron who was more than 100 meters away had received in the full face the wind that had released the impact.
Seeing what had just happened, Kila couldn't help but feel stupid. His plan had worked well, but it had worked far too well. So much so that he had even destroyed the slime's body, and therefore all the rewards he would have dropped if he still had a body. He felt so foolish that he wanted someone to turn back times, but the message from the system that came when he thought about it broke his mind even more.
[You got 10,000XP for killing a gray slime]
[Congratulations, you killed a boss, your quest will be updated in a few moments]
Just after he finished reading his messages, he began to sigh as he walked towards where Cayron was.
Never would he have thought he could have done so much damage with a simple spear that had just a little more momentum than a man could throw with his arm. However, there was also another problem. The fact that they will now have to wait another 2-3 days for the next boss to arrive. Just thinking about it tired him enormously.
There was also the fact that increasing one's levels were starting to become an extremely difficult task, especially because slimes no longer give enough XP. He wanted the system to give him a quest or something like that because he was starting to get bored.
And as if the latter had listened to his prayer, another message from the system arrived.
