"You cannot keep an illegal child!" a figure hidden by a silver cloak says impatiently.
"Don't call my child that! At least I will allow Shadow Wing," the Mother of the child says.
"Demons and Angels are not to mix! If you are found out you will be banished or executed, if you give up the child we can say it was miscarried and no one has to know anymore!" the cloaked figure presses.
The Mother considers carefully, if she is found out she will at least be banished which will likely lead to her demise and her baby will be executed, if she does this than her child can live and she will go without punishment.
It was, after all, just a silly accident...
"Make sure she goes to a good place, where there is much fresh air, little pollution, lots of close places to explore. And not too crowded, it is likely she will be antisocial. Like..."
"Does the Father know?" the figure asks softly.
The Mother slowly shakes her head, "it was just a stupid fling..."
The figure nods and holds out their arms for the child, large, silver, feathered wings unfurl from behind the figure as they do so.
"Can I... can I give her something?" the Mother asks.
"Of course, Human Orphans are often left with a precious item."
The Mother takes off the necklace she wears with her future wedding ring on it and presses it into the small bundle, tears slipping down her face.
"Is that all?" the figure asks.
When the Mother nods the cloaked figure disappears into nothing.
Unbeknownst to her, he was going to the Father.
"Your Majesty, your child," the figure bows and holds out the child.
The Father's Heart aches when he sees the thin gold chain with the wedding ring, he knows it is from the one he loves. He takes the Gold and Ruby wedding ring from it's case and adds it to the chain, not daring to hold the child for fear of never letting go.
"She will go to a good home, your Majesty, a place non too crowded with a good environment. Rivers and Beaches and-"
"The Land of the Demons, that is where she shall go. Somewhere there. Tell me... does she have a name?"
"Ciara, Ciara Ebony will be her name."
He smiles, "fitting." Then his face hardens, "take her away, please."
The silver cloaked figure disappears.
They set down the child, pressing a soft kiss to the child's forehead before writing a hasty note and then disappearing into nothingness.
