Theodoric was secretly pleased with Ivy's desire not to be in the same carriage with Mason and Katarina. Though in retrospect, they could save on horsepower and Theodoric had a horse carriage big enough for more than four people to ride.
But Theodoric could tell that Ivy was bothered by Mason's arrival. He could tell by the expression on her face and the unfriendly voice in her voice.
"We should have left before they got to our palace," said Ivy as they got into the carriage.
"We did not know they were coming."
"My plans are ruined. I just want to be alone with you, Theo," said Ivy irritably.
Her lips pursed and she rested her head on Theodoric's shoulder. He smiled seeing from above how those lips were so advanced and looked adorable.
"We still have a long day," replied Theodoric.
