The coarse land falling away abruptly not far from where Aribelle stood, she gazed over its ominous craggy brim pensively. Not sure of whether to be excited by the unknown expanse before her or daunted by the unforgiving drop in the gorge's walls that fell into the coursing glacial blue waters below, she continued to stare into its depths. A breeze sweeping past, it pushed against her as Aribelle acknowledged the challenge nature presented to her with grim uncertainty.
Feeling herself an unworthy opponent to the natural forces around her as they surged and whistled from the confines of the vast chasm in the earth that laid before her, Aribelle knew not to trifle with them carelessly. Her reverence prevailing for some time, it was eventually interrupted by a voice from behind her.
