Watching her as she slept soundly, Cassius regarded the condensation that clung to Fawn's long lashes discontentedly. Her round eyes now baring dismal shadows beneath them and her complexion pale from exhaustion. Cassius looked on at Fawn's drawn face, concerned she would collapse as she had done before.
