Chapter 8 - Toothless Rattle

"What are you looking at?" Le Yao tried to hold back his tears, but his eyes were still red and teary. Originally, he wanted to wash his face, but who knew that when he turned around, he had to see the doubtful look in Xu Yao's eyes.

"Nothing," Xu Yao propped his arms up on the wall and trapped Le Yao between them as he said, "I have to go soon. The spaceship will land in 15 minutes. We will have to fly back to my place in advance. "

"Oh. Then get a move on!" Le Yao looked at Xu Yao's arms. He couldn't get out of this kabedon unless he could fly.

"It's hot there. You need to be prepared," said Xu Yao, but he still didn't move.

"Hot? How high is the temperature?" Le Yao stepped back, hoping to embed himself in the wall. He felt that Xu Yao's breath was hotter than the weather outside!

"Today's outdoor temperature is about…" Xu Yao looked at his communicator, "40 degrees Celsius. It's still spring, and in summer, the highest temperature here is close to 60." He was a little bit surprised when he saw Le Yao's red face. Then he smiled and asked, "How about it? Do you regret coming with me? "

"No." I was just upset.

Now, there were many records available about humanity's move to Planet Tarot on the internet, including many video files of their homeland's current condition. It could be seen from these videos that when the global temperature rose, the glaciers melted. In addition, large earthquakes occurred frequently, and there was no way for people to continue to stay on their homeland. He knew that it must have been difficult to survive at that time, but he did not expect that the change in temperature was so drastic.

Hearing this information from other people wasn't the same as experiencing it.

Xu Yao couldn't help but wonder whether Le Yao could stay on Huaxia or not. Le Yao was a delicate young omega. Although he didn't know how Le Yao's family treated him, there has never been a shortage of material around him on Planet Tarot. During his investigation, he discovered that none of Le Yao's clothes were cheap, and the places he used to play at were also high class. Such a person could never bear the hardship of living in this harsh environment.

Le Yao saw that Xu Yao still doubted him. It was obvious to be doubtful if one thought about the original host. He glared at him and said, "Who regrets it?"

Xu Yao looked at his stubborn eyes and pressed forward, almost sticking himself to Le Yao. He said with a smile, "That's the little rabbit I trapped. Good!"

As soon as Le Yao heard that, he panicked and turned his head away from this wolf eyed man.

Flying Wolf 7 began to slow down at a certain distance from Huaxia star. However, Xu Yao still didn't let Le Yao go even if his ears and face were redder than ripe tomatoes. Felt satisfied, Xu Yao let him go and took him out of the cabin and went to the aircraft that would took them to his house.

Uncle Ming had been waiting by the hover car. As for Yan Jie, Le Yao didn't see him anywhere nearby.

The three of them boarded the hover car and Xu Yao gave it orders to fly. After about 20 minutes, they arrived at their destination.

The garrison of the Flying Wolf Division on Planet Huaxia was between a mountain and a hill. The main training grounds and the Command Center were located at the foot of the mountain whereas the living quarters were at the foot of the hill. There were houses, a supermarket, a hospital and so on in these quarters. The living facilities were quite complete, mimicking a miniature city.

However, all the houses here were portable buildings, including the one Xu Yao lived in, perhaps for the convenience of moving quickly when there was a fight.

Xu Yao's house had two rooms, two halls, one kitchen and one bathroom. Like all other houses, it was camouflaged green, so that it would blend in with a forest. There was also a small yard, covering a rather wide area, in front of the house. At this time, all the neighbors were at the training grounds, so no one was present here.

Le Yao asked, "Where are we situated now? What was this place called before the disaster that happened more than 500 years ago?"

Xu Yao said, "Almaty. It belonged to a country called Kazakhstan."

Le Yao thus concluded that he was close to China. But no matter how close these two countries were, could he summon Ji Fengyu? He fanned the wind with his hand and watched as Xu Yao took his suitcase into the biggest room. He couldn't help pull Xu Yao's sleeve as he asked, "I will be sleeping in your room?"

Xu Yao leaned on the door frame and questioned, "Where else? If my wife doesn't sleep in the same room as me, are we just putting on a show of getting married and splitting up?"

Le Yao: "…"

Uncle Ming also came to help with the unpacking and told Le Yao, "Mr. Xiao Le, sometimes someone may come here to visit the General. If you are seen sleeping in separate rooms, it may not be good for you."

Le Yao tacitly understood this. This was Xu Yao's territory, and Le Yao was infamous here. If he breezed in and did whatever he wanted to by himself, he was afraid that people wouldn't be able to accept him. In other words, only by letting these people know that he really had a relationship with Xu Yao, would they welcome him more quickly.

Le Yao released Xu Yao's sleeve. Moving into the room, Xu Yao put the suitcase in front of the wardrobe, "Put your things and clothes here. You can clean up half of this wardrobe and use it for yourself. I have something to do first, so I'll be leaving. I suggest you don't run around. If you have any questions, ask Uncle Ming."

Uncle Ming looked at Xu Yao in surprise. Le Yao's back was facing Uncle Ming, so he didn't notice his expression. Le Yao nodded, "Okay."

Xu Yao gave Uncle Ming a look and left. Le Yao observed the furnishing of the room and found that it was clean, although he was not sure who had cleaned it up. He didn't see any smart cleaning equipment in the room.

While Le Yao was examining the room, Uncle Ming intruded, "Mr. Xiao Le, you can unpack your belongings first. I'll find you a special sunscreen suit to use here, which you'll wear when you go out. The ultraviolet light here is too strong, being unprotected would burn your skin easily."

"Thank you, Uncle Ming. Sorry for the trouble," said Le Yao.

Uncle Ming smiled, "You are welcome, Mr. Xiao Le. All this is what I should do."

It was obvious that Le Yao was not used to the label 'Mr. Xiao Le', but it actually sounded better than he imagined. Although the temperature outside was really high, the room was relatively cooler. For the time being, Uncle Ming was also a good person to get along with, in comparison to Xu Yao, who liked to flirt with him every now and then but never did anything substantial.

Greatly relieved, Le Yao thought to put the clothes into the wardrobe first. He opened the wardrobe door, and suddenly…

'Ding. Bang!'

"Whoa!"

A lot of things had fallen out of it and almost buried him. These fallen things were all kinds of coats, underpants, socks, hats, belts, etc… No wonder Xu Yao had said that he could 'clean up' half of it for his own use. It really was necessary to organize all of this, something that probably hadn't been done for a long time.

This guy only knew how to clean himself, and he didn't care about the other things! Ugh!

Needless to say, this room had certainly not been cleaned up by Xu Yao.

Le Yao looked at the clothes spread all over the place and laughed in disdain. Xu Yao, this bastard!

It could only be said that people had to bow their heads under the low eaves. Resisting the impulse to throw all the things on the ground into a garbage can, Le Yao began to fold the clothes.

Fortunately, he used to live in a Buddhist shop with his Master. His Master wasn't good at doing the housework, so he did it for him. He could do all household chores well, including folding clothes, otherwise he would have been reduced to tears at this moment.

Looking at the thickness of the clothes piled up, Le Yao found that even the seasonal garments, that should be switched from season to season were all tossed into the cabinet carelessly. He was not sure whether they were of use or not, so he simply stacked it all up and put it aside. After finishing this, he put his own things into the cabinet and occupied as little space as possible, because there were too many things that belonged to Xu Yao. He also found that he couldn't reach the highest shelf, so when he had to put Xu Yao's thick clothes back in, he had to use a chair and put in a little more effort.

He didn't know whether Uncle Ming was getting him a sunscreen suit or had been sidetracked, since he hadn't returned for such a long time. Le Yao felt a little thirsty after unpacking and organising, so he went to the fridge and got a bottle of water to drink. He sat down on the sofa with nothing else to do. So, he took out the small dinosaur rattle making material kit and gave it a try.

He used to sew fubao for his guests when he was in the Buddhist shop. Although a fubao was very small, he would not have a problem in sewing a few more stitches now. Moreover, the materials in the bag had all been pre-cut, which made stitching it easier.

So, when Xu Yao returned home, he found his little wife sitting quietly on the sofa engrossed in making something. The head of the little dinosaur had been sewn on and stuffed with fluffy cotton. But since the dinosaur's mouth lacked a tooth, it didn't look fierce at all.

Le Yao felt someone's presence, looked up and said, "You're back?"

Xu Yao pointed his chin to the dinosaur, "How can it be missing a tooth?"

Le Yao felt a little embarrassed as he answered, "I sewed it in the wrong place, so one tooth is missing."

Originally, the teeth were even in number, the upper and lower jaws had pairs, but he counted them wrong and that resulted in a wrong sewing position. If, after this mistake, he had matched the original teeth one by one, the lower jaw would be longer than the upper, so it was better to make it look like a tooth was missing.

Xu Yao didn't make a sound in the face of such a response. He went to the bathroom to take a bath. When he had left the house, he had walked steadily and powerfully, but now, somehow, each step of his seemed heavy.

Le Yao observed him closely for a while, and saw the lingering aura of grievance on his body. He couldn't help but be surprised.

What had happened to Xu Yao?
