Chapter 1 - Blood red war

The Blood-Red War

~Prologue~

This is story begins in a small town that Claw calls home. In this town, his parents were adventurers and out a lot while Claw was growing up. Claw is small and got bullied a lot and beat up.

This was the day his parents were supposed to come home so Claw wanted to give his parents a present. He decided to go to the market to buy some flowers. So he went to the flower shop and got some and while leaving he saw one of his bullies and instinctively ran. The bully said, "Come back hear you twig!"

While Claw was running away, the kid was throwing rocks at him. This is weird, there are two more… where are the others? he thought. Then right in front of him, there was another bully forcing him to turn down an alley. As soon as he did, the third one was there. He was cornered. They all ran at him and then he jumped and tried to kick the one in front of him, but he was grabbed and thrown against the wall.

The flowers were stained with blood then they assaulted him and left. Claw waddled home and when he opened the door he was frozen - blood splattered the wood and walls, and his parents were on the floor… decapitated.

A knight clad with red, heavy armor with a rose embroidered on the chest piece. His rapier was a light gray, like the moon, even with the armor he was majestic and Claw was frozen in fear. Time suddenly started to move again when a man in dark leather armor with hands with razor-sharp claws appeared. Claw only saw him for a split second before he moved three times the speed of sound and stopped in front of the knight, crossing his arms.

From the speed, it created a shockwave that was somehow amplified. Claw did not understand and Boom! half of Claw's house was gone, along with the hill behind it. The knight was unfazed by the attack and swung his sword, trying to cut the man in half. But the man was already behind him with his hood down from the wind. Claw could see that the man had a mask that was dark cloth. The mysterious man was bald with dark, pale skin with burns and scars all over.

The man lifted his hood, but from that moment, the knight clenched his fist and the man started to float and his bones started to break. Normally, someone would scream in pain, but he didn't. He took the damage and fell on the floor and didn't breathe heavily, didn't wince in pain and his bones cracked back in place. All of this happened so quickly, within five seconds.

The knight then cut down with his sword at five times the speed of sound and cut the man across the chest. The man was dying and the knight didn't finish the job. He left, disappearing into a pile of blood that was on the floor.

"Kid, come here," the man said. Claw snapped out of it and ran to his parents' bodies and cried and cried.

That cry turned into rage and yelling and cursing and when Claw was done, he went over to the dying man and said, "Who are you?"

"I'm a royal assassin and I was sent here to kill the blood-red knight." The man coughed as blood dripped from his mouth. Cough, cough. Claw could now see that his face was filled with scars and, after some explanation by the man, Claw now knew that the blood-red knight was once good and the savior of the world. But after slaughtering an entire village, Claw was confused and traumatized. He was emotionally broken…

~10 Years Later~

After training with the strange man for 10 years, Claw was now 20 years old. He was skinny and had muscles. He wasn't too bulky or too skinny, and he had dark rags all over his body. Metal plates were underneath his rags, but they didn't weigh him down or hinder his movement.

He was searching for food in the capital city when he went to the Guild Hall which was made out of marble. It looked good on the outside, but the inside was made of wood and broken table parts with dust everywhere. Claw was emotionless, with a dead stare.

One of the top adventurers in the world was there looking and preparing for the raid against the monstrosity which was released by the blood knight 10 years ago.

Claw now had connections with the royal family and from his training, he was now two times stronger than his teacher. He then walked over to the clan of adventurers and said, "Hi, Pheonix," in a raspy voice.

"It's Jennifer, Claw" she responded.

"How is the monstrosity thing going?" Claw said.

"It's going good with you and your undying body, poisons, and high-speed tactics you can kill the knight, as me and one hundred other adventurers will kill the monstrosity."

"Seems like a good plan, Jennifer," Claw said.

"Don't call me that, either. You're not my friend." Pheonix put on her armor, which was fire red with metal wings in the back which could articulate according to what the wearer wanted to do or where to fly.

"Time to leave, I guess," Claw said while disappearing into the shadow.

"I will never get used to that," Jennifer said.

While Phoenix was preparing for battle and Claw was off to fight the blood-red knight in the blood-red forest, a force of evil was occupying the world tree, which is a

giant tree, taller than the biggest skyscraper in the world with roots the size of homes.

At the top lived a group of blood elves - an evil, crude variation of the beautiful elves. The blood-red knight was the first of them and who many considered the strongest, but there was another stronger warrior, who had his home on the tallest branch of the world tree.

He was the Ravenger, with glowing red eyes, standing seven feet tall with a red cape engraved in gold. He seemed to be scheming and plotting something but we will figure that out later. This story will now take two paths: the Path of Justice & Sacrifice or the Path of Grief, Pain, & Wrongdoing…

------

We catch up with Claw now at the edge of the blood-red forest and he was about to step into a forest filled with vines with sharp ends that seem to be almost alive. Every step Claw took was calculated and he knew what all of the blood-red knight's attacks were, so he developed a magic spell to kill all of the plants around him. Since the blood-red knight is a type of elf, he knows that he can control plants to kill anyone who gets close to his home.

By the time Claw reached a campfire in the forest, the knight was there with his helmet off and tears running from his eyes with a dead stare. It was weird and as soon as the knight moved to put on his helmet, Claw was there with a dagger. Purple liquid dripped out of it and Claw stabbed the knight in the neck. But he had no reaction to being stabbed. He put on his helmet and launched a surprise attack with a hook to the face, sending Claw backward and crashing into the vines. The knight grabbed his sword and swung at Claw, creating a red slash that flew at Claw, which he dodged.

Claw then used magic to propel himself so fast towards the knight that, when he stopped in front of the knight, the shockwave amplified by magic destroyed the forest around them.

As this was going on, Phoenix was flying when she suddenly stopped and flew down and landed. She looked up with the other top adventurers to look at the broken lands, with cracks the size of cities and deeper than the Mariana Trench. There were craters and volcanoes everywhere and at the center was a giant beast that was a fifty-foot tall minotaur, with armor that seemed invincible. They were going to kill it!

They first had to deal with the hundreds of ten-foot minotaurs that were charging at them. They got into formation with shields in the front, knights next to them, and then battle mages. The mages were in the very back of the formation and held through the tough assault from the beasts. They started to advance towards the giant beast.

Back at the fight between Claw and the blood-red knight, Claw seemed to be drained of stamina and took a potion and recovered his stamina. After the blow he dished out, the knight was bloodied. He sucked the blood back into himself and looked at Claw with his eyes glowing red. The vines started to grow back slowly, and Claw knew what this meant. He had to take this opportunity to attack him.

So, Claw took out a katana from his side and ran at the knight with supersonic speed and cut his head off, but the blood froze like ice and put his head back on. The knight swung his sword at Claw. Now began the battle of patience and stamina.

While Claw and the blood-red knight were exchanging blows, Phoenix and her party laid eyes on the beast. One of them said, "This will be easy." And they were right, for Phoenix anyway. All she had to do was charge a blast while the others sacrificed their lives to distract the beast and when the blast was charged, she blew a hole in the giant beast.

There were twenty people left. They were the strongest of the bunch and when the beast died a bolt of mysterious lightning hit the other party members and they died. All that was left was the ten strongest. Then, suddenly, a seven-foot-tall man with bulging muscles and a red cape and light armor landed around them. The ground cracked when he landed and the crack was as big as the others around them. Then they realized that this was the monstrosity that killed everyone who came before them.

"In the name of all of my blood elf brethren, I will kill the ones that looked down on us. I, Ravenger, will avenge the misdoings of these 'people.' I will claim my prize for my people!" Ravenger yelled.

"A blood elf? I thought we killed all of you…" said Phoenix.

"Me and the mind control magic, the knight you once called a hero, is under my control. Your teammate is killing an innocent man," said Ravenger.

"What? You're lying! Stop spouting bullshi-" and just like that, Phoenix's number two man's head came off with the swipe off Ravenger's broadsword. They all commenced combat.

Back at the fight with Claw, the fight was even and both were running low with their mana and stamina. They both just needed a boost, but they were out of potions, so they resorted to trying to end the battle quickly. Claw landed on the charred crater-filled ground and his sword ejected his blade. He replaced it with magic. The blade was seethrough, so no one knew how long or sharp his blade was. He charged up his final move, which he called light speed.

The knight just landed on the ground and collected all the blood on the floor around them and he was ready to use his move - Blood Rage.

Meanwhile, Phoenix and the ten strongest warriors had such great synchronization with each other, it was impeccable. They were trying to make Ravenger waste his mana because his attacks were so devastating and killed each of

their teammates. Their numbers slowly were going down until it was just Phoenix and the dead bodies of her comrades.

The Ravenger laughed. "Hahaha, your plan worked. I'm out of magic but that's not where my power comes from. Sure, it amplifies it, but I have a better body and muscles than some puny human." Spit! "The disgusting little creatures that you are."

"Stop talking and let's go. I'll avenge my friends," cried Phoenix. They both lit their swords on fire.

------

Phoenix was flying in the air and dove down at such a speed her entire body became a bullet lit on fire by the sword. Ravenger cocked back his sword and swung…

Claw was moving at such a speed the ground underneath him was on fire. The knight started to go crazy and swung his sword at Claw with ten times the speed of sound. Both attacks were about to connect…

Phoenix and her bullet speed were amazing and she went right through Ravenger and left a hole in place of his heart. But she didn't leave without her arm getting cut off…

The mind control ended and the blood-red knight was free, but it was too late. Claw had cut his head off. He didn't know what happened and when he figured it out, he blamed himself for it. He realized that he had just killed an innocent man. Claw decided that he would build a home there and he lived there for the rest of his life, while Phoenix was praised and was given a metal arm. She became a war hero.

This is end of this tale, which I will tell more of in future days… Goodbye.
