Chapter 488 - Departing

It took a little time to prepare for the journey for so many people or to help provide a way for others to be left behind safely.

Some less well known people were dropped off at the island which was being developed so they could build a new life for themselves.

Some others that were not too invested in the idea of exploring space yet still had the willpower to carry on what Medea had been doing had been arranged into another separate group.

After the first group was dropped off safely to begin the peaceful lives they desired, the next group started to be arranged a place where they could continue without the leadership of Medea.

At a recently overthrown island where many citizens were raising metal pipes and other equipment, several figures had stood further away watching the victory celebration.

Just as they turned around and started to depart from the island along with their new recruits, a large ship had arrived near their docked ship.

It was just an ordinary ship that looked like it had been through a tough battle and even the flags seemed to be torn up enough to make them no longer recognisable.

A cloaked figure stepped off the ship and was stood opposite a green cloaked man with a tattoo on the side of his face. "We have met as you wished but.."

Just as Monkey D. Dragon was about to speak about some things he wished to know, the cloaked figure finished what they were saying before turning into a flash of lightning heading up into the clouds. "I have no plans to join you but these people should be of use to you."

Upon disappearing, the large amount of people on the ship started to cheer towards the sky as they bid their saviour farewell.

Monkey D. Dragon felt the presence disappear then sighed. "She would not even let me speak up first but left behind such a gift. Should I accept it?"

He was more than happy to have new recruits that were willing to fight for their cause but there were always risks involved with letting them join.

There could always be spies among those given over or those that could betray at a very critical moment.

Seeing so many eager eyes facing him, Dragon remained silent for some time before saying. "Start them out in the lower ranks then see how they do."

If he rejected then he would be giving up any chances of future cooperation with such a figure that was as mysterious as himself.

Just like he came and went like the wind so did the mysterious woman who possessed the ability to appear and disappear like a bolt of lightning.

Anyone sent over were mostly newcomers to the entire group Medea was forming through her activities so there was little revealed to them and not even her identity was known to them so it was safe to let them go to another group like the Revolutionary Army.

There were very few that had been given any access to sensitive information unless they were among the higher ups who were a permanent part of their formed group.

It was the same for so many people who had been dropped off at the island, they did not know enough for them to be a potential danger so it would be useless for anyone to try for use them to figure out Medea's identity or her connections.

Even the ship that the many people were dropped off in had belonged to some random pirate group they came across to make use of to drop them off so it was even more difficult to keep track of Medea's movements to het there and back.

Just as all the preparations were in order, Alyssia was stood opposite the team of three and gave some final words. "Have fun out there and if you wish to step into the influences of others then try to take a similar approach as I would or as you have so far."

Alyssia knew that they would probably find themselves in trouble in some way but it could not be helped if that was the case.

Space was much more of a chaotic place with so many dangers and influences all around.

It would be a very difficult to navigate without encountering some challenges so Alyssia gave them some advice on how to handle things on their journey.

The usual rules were that it was best not to provoke anyone unless provoked first.

Any large influence should be treated with caution but not being overly friendly with.

The first one was to not get into unwanted troubles but to also protect themselves should they need to while the second was to better navigate through different encounters with others that had greater influence and how to treat them to avoid getting caught up in their troubles.

While it was good to gain some allies and offer aid to those who needed it, it was still good idea for them to stay as an independent force for the time being.

There were always forces out in any place that valued talents and would try to get their hands on such valuable people but if they could not then there were always those that would wish to destroy anything they could not make their own.

In order to combat such possible scenarios, it was better to not get to close to such powers and avoid getting caught up in big events.

Unfortunately not everything could be avoided and there were things that the Bunbun, Ashwin and Medea could not overlook.

Alyssia had to add a final piece of advice. "You will need to get a better idea of each new environment so try to make an ally or two from others in a similar position to yourselves. Perhaps a merchant or mercenary?"

Bunbun nodded her head quickly as her long white bunny ears occasionally lopped over. "Got it sis Aly! Wish us luck! Hehehe."

Alyssia rolled her eyes and sighed watching the flying ships begin their departure. "With your current abilities.. I believe that I should be wishing those you cross paths with good luck.. but good luck. Come back safely and have fun. I wish I could come with you one day."

She stood watching as the flying ships disappeared into the clouds and their presence began to leave her range of Observation Haki. "Now onto the next. Checking up on the progression of the others."
