Chapter 454 - Shiryu

Back on the top of the shipwreck, there were many people who had been panicking as they watched the fight break out.

So many of them had been knocked back by the forces produced by the fight and were knocked much closer towards the edge of the ship.

There were many of them that had fallen overboard and were struggling to swim at sea.

"Help.. I.. buh..cannot swim."

"Hah.."

"Give me a hand here."

They were all busy panicking and struggling to find a way to survive or to aid those around them.

It seemed like the end for so many of them that could not swim in the deep water.

It had not been too long since the battle had begun and there had been several large exchanges between both sides but many of the people on the sidelines were already feeling that they were in a hopeless situation.

They had not recovered from the previous attack and had yet to be healed so there were many among them that had entered the water with their open wounds.

If they did not have to worry about their own wounds or being able to swim then they still needed to worry about the others too.

Many had already been in too much pain or had no more energy to continue struggling.

Everything seemed hopeless as the waves of the sea were about to swallow so many of them to claim their lives.

That was until something had appeared in the distance in the form of several lifeboats.

The lifeboats were heading their way and had small furry creatures inside that started throwing donut shaped objects into the water near the people that were struggling.

As if seeing some form of lifeline for themselves, the people had reached out towards the objects and were then pulled towards the lifeboats.

Too many of the creatures were released and not everyone of them could occupy the deck of the ship during the battle so many had entered the lifeboats which had lowered down to the sea before being released.

They were not exposed to the waves so they were not in their combat forms and had been a lot gentler than the transformed versions of themselves.

Some of the furry creatures that had been made by Alyssia had been released more than once for various reasons which included educating them about certain things.

So many that should have lost their lives were saved and were brought onto the lifeboats.

There were some strange looking furry creatures that approached those in the worst conditions and started to take out medical supplies to allow them to be given basic first aid.

Back on the wreckage was where there were still some people on board.

The impacts created had further knocked them around and caused more damage to the ship.

An invisible figure had silently stepped on the deck after sending out a strong wind blade towards Carrot who was in the air.

His murderous intent was very strong as the sword in his hand was hungering for more blood and violence.

The body of Carrot had rotated in the air performing a forward flip which allowed her tail to come out and clash against the crescent blade of Catarina Devon.

The four draconic claws that were a part of her pair of arms and legs had swept around along with her tail which had created four more flying air blades that crashed onto the ship below.

The strange fog in the air was taken along with the wind blades had reached the deck of the ships which had spread out and mixed with the surrounding air.

One of the wind blades belonging to Shiryu had cut towards one of them which caused both forces to halt for a moment before they both cancelled each other out.

Another one was thrown out by Shiryu before he had turned his attention elsewhere. 'This is no good.. it cannot keep going on like this. I need to make good on my threats.'

A cold and sinister glint appeared on his face as his blade pointed towards the innocent bystanders on the ship wreckage.

He had threatened their lives to make Carrot come down but she had not come down to save them as he had expected.

She was not as nice and as naive as he had thought she would be to be able to fall for such a trap.

Heroes usually died early from self sacrifice and villains usually succeeded when they made use of every possible opportunity.

His body moved from his current position and his murderous intent had reached its peak.

That was until it did not.

Something strange had taken hold of him all of a sudden and his murderous intent was gone in the moment that the tip of his sword was about to reach the throat of an innocent bystander.

His mood suddenly became more euphoric and his murderous intent had become calm as if he had entered a less dangerous state of mind.

It was a strange calm and peaceful state that he had not experienced in so very long that had even made his forget about the blade in his hand that was calling towards him to claim the life of the person in front of him.

The murderous sword had finally not reached its master as it had before. "Hehe.. this is so fun.."
