Chapter 434 - Sengoku and Tsuru

Garp jumped out of the pit and clashed with Alyssia several more times until he was fully worn down by her.

The final moments of their battle was where they both had matched each other's movements and traded several powerful blows.

One fist landed on the side of Alyssia's face while she had countered with her own kick towards the chin of Garp which had caused a large clash of Conquerors Haki once again until more had been exchanged at a high speed. "Blue Hole."

"Galaxy Divide!"

Once the final exchange of blows had come to an end, Garp was knocked back into the pit with many bloodied and bruised wounds on his body. "Cough.. I give up.."

Although he was upset at the fact that he had lost and could no longer continue the fight, he had to admit that it was an enjoyable battle where he could see where his limits were and then would try to push past them.

Unfortunately his old age had held him back in a way and several powerful blows that were done beyond his bodies current capabilities had caused him some minor injuries.

Sengoku and Tsuru were the first ones to come across Garp who was lying on his back with a tired look on his face.

Tsuru had let out a scolding tone. "Why did you agree to this? Look at you now…"

Sengoku nodded in agreement. "What is going on in your mind."

Garp lay there with a complicated and pained look on his face. "I think I pulled something.."

Sengoku shouted at him. "You idiot! Why did you have to let things get this way?"

Garp just lay there silently for some time as he had held onto his left shoulder that was aching. "I just wanted to know if I still had it in me."

Tsuru took her turn to ask in a gentler voice. "Now you have injured yourself just to see if you could still contend with the youngsters? You are getting even more foolish in your old age. Was it satisfying?"

Footsteps came from behind them as Alyssia had approached them which had caused them all to suddenly block her path in an attempt to protect Garp. "What are you doing?"

Alyssia looked towards the two of them and sighed. "Do I really look like someone that would attack someone when they are down like this? A duel is a duel and there does not need to be someone dying for there to be a victor."

Garp had coughed as he had struggled to pull up his bloodied and bruised body. "That was satisfying. I am just disappointed that I could not bring out your best."

Sengoku and Tsuru looked towards Garp then back towards Alyssia in shock. "Not her best? Oh.."

"You are a member of the Mink tribe correct? Why did you not use your Electro? I have another question, what is up with your appearance? That should be Sulong? Correct? How is this possible?"

Alyssia rolled her eyes and responded. "You are quite curious huh? I guess I can not really be called as a member of the Mink tribe now and more like a part of the Sulong tribe or race instead.

Using Electro against him may have given me that big of an edge in combat especially when it was a battle of this scale. I did say before that I wanted our duel to be more of a physical battle so I would not use other methods."

The truth was that Garp among several others had been known to rarely display their own power but were top existences in the world so they were prime targets that would still be able to do harm to her even without high ranking Devil Fruit powers to aid them.

If she had chosen to use Electro then that would have been a game changer since she had far more Electro than the ordinary Mink or Sulong so it could play a bigger role even if it was increasing her speed and destructive power.

Her Electro that was greater than others was just another trump card that did not need to be revealed to others so soon so most others that had recognised her for her race would begin to think that her Electro had some kind of limitations to it.

That was what she wanted others to think since they would only continue to deem her as a greater danger and it would allow them to still underestimate her capabilities.

If she so easily revealed everything then it was like exposing herself to those who could be her enemies in the future and may have been trying to come up with a valid strategy to take her down should they ever become an enemy of her.

The most useful plan for them would be to attack her after the battle was over when she had little time to recover but it did not seem like Sengoku and Tsuru had planned on doing anything beyond protecting Garp.

Even her fire techniques had been withheld so that she could still continue her fight with Garp and so that the fight did not end any earlier.

If she won the duel then it had to be with the improvements that she had gained from her three types of Haki and her own techniques which had evolved to the peak of their capabilities or were very close to the peak.

Sengoku and Tsuru nodded in agreement upon hearing her words. "You are right.. a fight of that level involving Electro would only allow it to be a minor hindrance at best."

With the protection and use of advanced Armament Haki and Conqurors Haki in a high end battle, there would usually be little contact between two parties unless they had actually landed a clean hit on the other person so most Electro attacks would not land.

Once a large force had met the Electro of a lower level, it would be very difficult for a normal Electro user to be able to maintain their Electro attack before it was dispersed unless they were the ones that possessed more power.

If the Electro did make it towards its intended target then there would still be the protective Armament and Conquerors Haki that had to be bypassed for it to have any effect so it was right to only be called a hinderance.

There was no reason for Alyssia to use her own Electro if that was the case so Sengoku and Tsuru had accepted it as a fact.

Alyssia was about to walk away but Sengoku had spoke up again. "What is your intention? Why call out my friend like this? This must not just be about being known as one of the world's strongest."

Alyssia had shown a small smile as she had thought to herself. 'Shrewd old geezer.'
