Although the breathing styles did not have the effect to speed up healing and grant superhuman strength, it did provide a better mental state and link between the mind and body for Alyssia when she used it which allowed her to use her body better to its fullest capabilities without wasting anything while taking in a large amount of breathe to her limits provided a short time where she could collect and release her energy into one large attack while it also had some small influence over her use of Haki as it made it made her sense sharper and improved her control of her uses if Armament and Conquerers Haki along with her Electro.
It also helped to maintain a clearer mind and focus on battle so it was very useful against tricky opponents which used means to play with their enemies emotions to gain an advantage.
Part of it was derived from Demon Slayer the manga/anime and a little from Naruto thunder breathes but it was also influenced by her insights into meditation and martial arts along with other things that she had picked up in Kano but even she felt that her own storm style was still missing something crucial as it was not yet complete and did not completely match up to her style.
Back to the present, Liushi was caught in his recollection as he was fighting back against the swordsman and his Observation Haki suddenly became much clearer as he adjusted his breathing and focussed on the enemy in front of himself.
In a split second as he breathed a large amount of air into his lungs as he followed the breathing pattern of the Whirlwind breathing style which suited him much more.
His eyes turned sharper and his body moved to deflect another attack before turning his body into a whirlwind once again and as he moved around, his attacks became much sharper than before and more precise.
Each of his attacks which had mainly used his brute strength along with some of his technique had changed in essence as each slice of his war glaive started to leave a large cut on the armour on the swordsman's body.
Most of his attacks had previously only left small dents and scratches to the armour which seemed to be specially made with high grade materials and was very heavy but the swordsman seemed to possess a strong enough physique to be able to wear it while carrying a large and heavy sword but after Liushi's enlightenment, the situation had changed greatly.
The previous dents and scratched turned into large cuts that continued to appear all over the armour and then completely broke through as his armour had become useless.
The swordsman fell back onto the ground as he was surrounded in a pool of his own blood. "Impossible… ur.. guh."
Liushi stopped spinning and looked at the mess he had created as the many wind blades had taken out many in his surroundings and destroyed many buildings. "It worked! Aha! Now I just need to get the hang of it better and learn how to coat my weapons in Haki. Then I will no longer have to worry about anything else. Ehehehehe."
Those that were near the battle between the two were unable to offer any help because the moment they got between the fight, they were quickly injured by the strong flying wind bless and pressure created from their clash of weapons.
Those of the White Storm were smart enough to know of Liushi's destructive powers so they kept their distance and made sure to secure their position or head towards another direction.
The combination of the ability to sense the breathe of his opponent and the armour on his body which was added to his state of heightened combat potential and state of mind had allowed Liushi to further increase his mastery over his martial arts and take a step forward in this battle.
Zhihaojin lead many others that carried many types of blunt weapons and clashed against many enemies, he maintained his stance and continued to build up his power with every attack as he grew more familiar with battling many opponents.
At first the armour on his body protected him from receiving severe injuries but as he adjusted to the battle, he was able to use his hammers to smash against the enemies weapons and use his lower body to remain firmly rooted on the ground while his upper body moved to avoid any fatal attacks before turning his body back into its original place and swinging out his hammers again.
The large forces of the White Storm that came from the mercenary group had provided assistance and increased the overall fighting potential.
The left over people who had been brought in from the remnants of Baroque Works, the Foxy Pirates and many other groups that had been defeated by the Straw Hat Pirates during their journey on the first half of the Grand Line had only helped to increase the overall combat that they sent against the Lawless Zone which caused the enemy to be unable to fight back effectively especially with the many things that were happening in many other places.
The people of the capital had later broken through the gates and pushed forward as they eventually met up with those of the White Storm after they had spent a lot of time distracting the enemy and fending them off until the White Storm had severely reduced their numbers.
Many hundreds of people who were capable of fighting were reduced in one night down to a low number while snipers or those with less combat abilities were taken out one after another and the battle was slowly coming closer to an end as the main person behind the whole event had yet to show his face.
Monera and Ness blocked off a path of escape, Yvie reduced the numbers and caused chaos within, Sunila took out one lookout while causing more chaos and weakening the gates defences and even after that she provided support to those fighting, Jester and Alfred dealt with another lookout while reducing the enemies numbers and headed towards the other gate leaving one left for those within to run towards while Liushi and Zhihaojin provided a way to break through the defences and charge forwards.
By the time the people of the capital had caught up, those within the White Storm had already done most of the work which meant that they could claim a larger amount of benefits afterwards.
Far away within a tall building that overlooked everything, a man stood with many bloodied corpses around him with a crazy look in his eyes. "So useless! How long have I been raising you fools and yet you cannot even do your jobs!"
