Carrot quickly penetrated deep into the central part of the island and arrived at a large wall.
The wall circled around the city area which should be the lawless zone which seemed to be well protected from the beasts outside but to Carrot, the wall was nothing but a minor obstruction as she easily jumped over and entered the lawless zone while avoiding the eyes of others.
She quickly moved towards the most conspicuous building and tossed the document onto the floor through a gap in the window before fleeing.
Had she been other orders, she could have slipped into the room and killed the person inside without a sound but her task was just to leave the document behind and leave.
However the next morning, the lawless king woke up and realised that his defences had been penetrated by an unknown enemy as he read the document.
Meanwhile back at the Sunken Castle, Alfred briefed Alyssia on those who made the most contributions to the battle. "While everyone had made their own contribution in their own way, you did tell me to look out for anyone interesting so I spotted someone with great potential who has continued with your training and their own style of combat since recruiting them. Originally he was recruited as our blacksmith and metal welder but his latest weapon has complimented his bodies strength and techniques."
Alyssia calmly asked. "What was his name again?"
Although Alyssia had a great memory, it did not mean that she could just remember everyones names in a split second so she asked Alfred who already had the details on him.
Alfred spoke. "Zhihaojin, he is in his later twenties, male and joined us from Kano country. His specialties are blacksmithing and metalworking but his skill and familiarity with many weapons is very high while blunt forging hammers are his most familiar type of tool or weapon. His own style of combat is called Metal Forging Double Hammer Style and his two weapons have two different modifications that you had added. One was heat while the other was thunder so the destructive power of each blunt attack is further improved along with the style which helps increase his attacks power the more he swings his hammers and makes contact with his opponents."
The technique was a type of blunt based striking style which increased in power after the first attack and continued to do so with every attack followed so with the combination of the heat and thunder attacks, Zhihaojin had been able to show off his skill enough to get noticed by Alfred during the battle.
Alyssia replied. "Have a blacksmith built within the walls for him and offer him a much larger position within the White Storm and let him enter the inner circle of the crew. He has contributed a large amount already just with his metalworking so his rewards are overdue, with his contribution to the battle and his showing of strength and combat power, I can feel assured that he can handle himself and hold an important position. Oh yes… while everyone is fortifying the castle walls, have a team work on reinforcing the gate or rebuilding it to make it more indestructible."
Alfred bowed before stepped out. "I will arrange it all."
Alyssia yawned as she looked over towards the sleeping Xena and Yao. "I should really get some sleep. It is late already."
Very quickly, the lands of the Sunken Castle of Rica Island was being transformed a little at a time and had a period of peace but within the Lawless Zone, the lawless king had read the document which had details about the attack on the Sunken Castle and the result of it.
[Dear leader of the lawless zone, we are writing to inform you about the changes on the lands of the Sunken Castle and the surrounding area that has been recently occupied. Upon coming to rightfully claim the land that belongs to us, we were attacked and were forced to fight back resulting in many deaths of the other side along with some becoming captives. A large group later arrived which I believe are a part of your influence which have some connection to that group, we were kind enough to explain the situation to them while handing over the captives and give them a clear warning that we will not be bullied or intimidated. Upon leaving us, the group hid in the forest and later attacked during the night. They were defeated upon our side being forced to defend ourselves again and we can assume that this was not ordered by you or those within the lawless zone so we will not retaliate for this since we do not wish for further conflicts if we do not have to. We plan to stick to our own land and not cross into yours so there should be no reason for us to have any further conflicts. Please inform those below you to not step into our lands with large numbers or weapons or this will be taken as a sign of hostility. If you wish to retrieve the living captives, send a messenger with a small escort to retrieve them. Thank you, Alyssia Lucine. P.S. The document that was delivered contained a clear explanation of the events but also a warning to the lawless king and those affiliated.
It also explained that his subordinates had acted on their own without sending word back so it was likely that they planned to attack and swallow all of the benefits in secret.
The lawless king was enraged upon reading that part in particular but he was intrigued about the new occupants of the Sunken Castle so he quickly arranged a small team to retrieve the captives so that he could gain more information before making a decision on whether or not to attack in retaliation.
If the risk of a large amount of deaths in a war against them was a big possibility, the lawless king would choose to not have a direct war against the new occupants because he still needed to keep his forces strong in case of further conflicts with the people of the capital and defending against beast attacks along with internal conflicts.
Most of the people killed by those of the White Storm were not truly loyal people to the lawless king and were a group of troublemakers who were in the alliance for their own benefits.
Those who were too greedy and disloyal to the unlawful king were usually dealt with harshly and if they died at others hands, the lawless king would only feel that the killers had done him a favour by eliminating them but there would always be those who were discontent about not being allowed to retaliate.
After retrieving the captives, the lawless zone people that were allied together under the lawless king had been warned not to cross into the Sunken Castle lands but if they encountered people in the forest area, they should be discreet and thorough if they wish to enact their revenge.
Although they could not retaliate with a full on attack due to certain factors, there were always reckless people who were willing to attack anyone if they encountered them in the forest area while some could be disguised as animal attacks.
If people died within the forest then the murderers would be difficult to identify which force was behind it unless major evidence was left behind so they expected to have some groups attack hunting or gathering parties from the Sunken Castle.
However their plans had been pointless since those within the Sunken Castle had already anticipated this kind of action from them which was made to pick off the weaker people of the group.
Hunting and gathering parties that entered the forest were given a strong escort each time so any conflicts ended in their complete victory or the the enemy fleeing after realising the unfavourable situation for them.
