Chapter 173 - Karate Island #20

He was able to put up a decent fight against Zoro during their duel when he was dual welding scythes and did not have his original weapons in his possession which quickly displayed a small part of his future capabilities and potential.

Zoro may have been missing a sword and was interrupted during the battle which made him suffer a wound but he quickly gained the victory in the end after capturing one of the scythes that was stabbed into his body, had they been both able to each use their full capabilities and weapons then the battle may have lasted slightly longer and let Alyssia gain a better understanding of him.

As she looked at him, she then shook her head as she calmly closed her eyes and ordered the system to continue collecting all of the skills she could get with her current mastery of what she had.

Among them were also many of Killers' skills who she had already found days before so although she had the original to give her tips, she had still somewhat studied his style of combat through the system.

Silence descended onto the ring as the crowd went quiet with anticipation, many participants within the ring with many varying body types were crowded and eyeing those around them as targets but also putting up their guard against others but among many of them, many had set their sights upon the sole female within the arena who stood at the edge of the arena with her heels slightly touching the very edge of it.

Alyssia had become prey in the eyes of many but she just remained calm and collected as they were preparing themselves. 'Tsk.. typical.'

"Begin!"

In the arena where more than fifty participants were stood, chaos descended as one person attacked someone and began to knock them from the ring but the next second, they were hit from behind by someone else.

Many began to circle Alyssia together and began to get closer very quickly when one had decided to attack first since they were confident that they could handle her and the others attacks should he be betrayed.

However events did not go how he had thought, just as he thrust his staff forward to knock her out of the ring, Alyssia had moved quickly and out of his expectations.

His thrust had just passed through her body as she jumped up and lightly stepped onto it with one foot, his body was slightly tilted forward because of the power put behind the thrust but even more so after her weight was added as she stepped onto it but it did not end there as she did not remain there for long.

With a quick skip as her foot pushed off the extended staff, she quickly passed over the staff users head but before the man could regain his balance and pull back his spear, he turned his head to look behind himself where he got the view of a foot coming down towards him.

The flat of her foot landed on his face as he was kicked from the ring, she kicked off from that and twisted and bent her body in the air to avoid the sharp spear that came towards her next.

A drop kick was sent towards the face of the spearman before he could react and he took on the force created from both feet being thrown across the air into him, meanwhile Alyssia twisted her body once again and narrowly avoided a sword slash.

From a slightly crouching position, she readjusted herself and then jumped up to the side to attack the swordsman as her foot was kicked towards his wrist.

She quickly disarmed him and caused heavy damage to his wrist making him panic without his weapon.

To a swordsman, the sword was his life and without it he was was in a vulnerable position where he had to choose between retrieving it back or fighting without it along with his damaged wrist but before he could decide anything, two things happened.

The first was a large club came downward Alyssia's body but the other was the following movement from her too as she rotated and kicked the swordsman in the chest with her other foot and pushed him flying backward while she bent her body and touched the floor with her fingertips tucking her head inwards as her body avoided the large club that struck down along with the impact that came from it.
