Chapter 164 - Karate Island #11

As experienced martial artists, the crowd favourites were able to narrowly avoid any tricks pulled by the opponents that tried to harm them, advancing to the next rounds.

Their numbers were gradually decreasing as many were eliminated and were unable to do anything else.

The man named Belt finished his duel and won, he stepped down and walked towards one of the contestants that remained with a cold and slightly angry look on his face.

He leaned forward and spoke in a quiet voice. "You are the last one who will get a chance to fight any of them before me so you must use this opportunity. Do not waste the precious time that I spent raising you."

His tone was very bone chilling as he spoke in a slightly threatening tone, he continued to walk past him but his face had turned slightly kinder as if he did not previously threaten someone.

The man who stood there had a slightly pale face and had a look of unease in his eyes but upon calming himself down, he began to enter the ring with a serious face.

Opposite him was Monera who watched him seriously and put up a fighting pose as he did the same.

After several exchanges with Monera being at an advantage, she began to gain ground pushing him back towards the edge of the ring.

Just as she was about to win, the man let down his guard and took the punch to his chest but his arms captured and wrapped around her arm before he fell from the arena.

He endured the pain of his body and twisted his body like a serpent and his face arrived before her own.

Before anyone could understand his plan to overcome his plan to counterattack, he spat something from his mouth and it flew towards Moner's eye from a close range.

His eyes lit up with delight as there was no way to avoid it from this range but suddenly something appeared in its path.

Alyssia was watching the battle and continued to kick up the three balls in the air but her senses and Observation Haki were carefully detecting the most subtle changes in the battle along with any kind of foreign objects on their bodies.

She had detected something ominous within the mouth of the man so once he got close enough to use it, her concentration reached its peak as she took aim towards the small opening and timed her kick correctly with her skill shot skill.

The rubber ball flew into the small space between them and intercepted a needle shaped piece of metal.

After being pierced by it, the ball still continued to move in the direction it was heading with a slight change in its trajectory taking the needle along with it.

The man's eyes watched this happen as if it was in slow motion and after the ball cleared, a brick fist slammed into his face making him release his grip.

The announcer stood up and shouted. "Did we just see some Interference? Who did that and who were they aiming for?"

In his and the audiences eyes, the needle released was too concealed and the flying ball was the thing that they noticed most.

If the needle had hit then they may of discovered a problem but by then it may be too late.

Alyssia turned to her two friends. "Carrot go talk to Ann and the announcer, Tristan retrieve the ball and be careful for anything on it. Quickly bring it over and begin your investigation."

Alyssia walked forward as she stepped into the public eye while juggling two of the remaining balls with her feet as she stepped towards the man lying outside of the fighting arena.

Her actions were smooth and unhindered as if taking a casual stroll, she caught the balls and then pocketed them.

She then grabbed the man by the back of his neck within her palm and began to pick up his body like that.

Several people began to surround her looking threatening. "Put him down immediately! Do not act out of line!"

Alyssia shrugged as she spoke helplessly. "I also did not wish for this to go like this but it seems that your all do not understand what just happened."

The leader among the guards revealed a look of confusion. "What do you mean?"
