Chapter 158 - Karate Island #5

Using such a draining technique was not worth it when it could only be active for upto three seconds at most, unless it was during a crucial moment of combat where victory would be decided in an instant.

Even then it would be risky to use to achieve a victory if others are around to take advantage of the weakened and tired state she would be in afterwards.

All she could do for now was train in this way to improve her energy control but also enhance her bodies stats and tolerance to electrical attacks.

Each time she used this method her strength and endurance were increasing slowly along with her electrical resistance as her body was slowly getting used to the Electro flowing inside of and tempering her body.

The next day of the competition came around quickly and many returned to their seats within the stadium, when the seats were being filled and the time had come, the announcer gave Ann a nod as he began to speak. "Hello everyone and welcome to day two of our Karate Island's championship competition. I will now let Ann tell you all what you are watching today."

Ann smiled and waved at the crowds of people. "Now that the two finalists of the boxing competition have been decided yesterday, we will move onto the sumo competition. The rules are simple, only pushing and slapping is allowed to be used while grappling throws are too. The aim is to push or throw your opponent out from the small circular ring. Now let's S U M O! One knock out will grant you one point and the first to win five points will be declared the winner and move on to the next round."

The announcer added. "Any foul play will make you lose two points so please follow the rules, repeat offenders will be disqualified."

Many people began to take up their places as many large and chubby men entered the circular rings to compete among each other.

One after another, people were eliminated as the audience cheered for their favourites and placed bets on who they believed would win.

Within the crowd, Alyssia watched as she continued to kick up her rubber ball without taking her attention away from the action.

She continued to hone her senses and Observation Haki along with her kicking and ball juggling or football skills while watching the competition.

By her side, Tristan was seated and began to speak to her. "What do you think of this competition? How about any insights into what I should do in the finals?"

Alyssia replied. "Today is fun to watch but the danger involved is far less than the others so I find it a little boring. In the finals, you should believe in your abilities to fight such an opponent but do not rely on your instincts too much or you may fall into a trap. Try to dodge and match his quick punches, when opportunities come to get close to his body.. be careful and remain on full alert ready to dodge any close range punch. I have confidence in that you will beat him."

Jerry's tall body and long limbs were difficult to deal with for the average boxer and prevented them from getting close to him to land a hit on him.

His punches were very quick and he also added feigned punches which made him more difficult to deal with.

One missed punch from him or opening created may just be a trap created by him.

Once the opponent steps into it, they are in a dangerous position as Jerry's other fist is punched out towards that area.

Tristan was silent as she listened and then nodded. "I understand."

However Tristan could not be underestimated either.

Her fast speed and nimble movements combined with her quick and destructive punches would be able to make her just as formidable of an opponent.

In her previous matches, she still had not shown her full capabilities from the results of her training so Alyssia had confidence that she would find a way to win.

She sighed as she watched the outcome of the matches. "It is a shame that the bear did not come this time, maybe he could have livened it up a little."

Tristan shook her head. "He has too much brute strength and not too much control over it. I can imagine many getting injured by him."
