Chapter 126 - Creation #10

As he got closer and pushed past the crowd ready to attack Alyssia, she looked at the crowd. "I have barely even provoked him and he is already out for blood. Think of your fellow countrymen! Think about the innocents that will be harmed by his ambitions! Think about your ruined futures at the hands of this man! He may have been someone to work alongside Vegapunk in the past but now he is just a bitter man out for blood!"

Alyssia dodged a couple of his attacks that were aimed to cut her to pieces and shouted. "Creation is here! If you truly wish to pursue science then we will accept you. You will have freedom to pursue your own research so long as it is within our groups ideals and there are ways to help you earn funding for your experiments."

She kept dodging calmly as if the man in front of her was no threat at all. "Creation will always triumph!"

Just as the man was about to activate the blaster of his other arm and had it aimed towards Alyssia who had dodged his chainsaw, a kick landed on his stomach knocking him back flying into the nearby metal wall.

On his chest seemed to be a large dent as if he had been pierced by a needle or drill like attack.

Ein observed from the sidelines and watched Alyssia's movements. 'It seems that this gamble has paid off.'

However her own combat experience was zero so she could only sit and wait for the outcome. 'I am too weak in comparison so how am I to be of any help to her in the future?'

The abilities used by Alyssia just now was her current mastery of Eight Impact Fist and it produced devastating effects to the cyborg's body.

Several sparks seemed to flicker on the part where she had kicked showing that it was not just the outer shell that had been damaged.

The leader somehow remained awake and groaned. "Hurry up and get her!"

Several of his loyal followers stepped forward to join the fight as they had greatly underestimated her abilities.

However some were smart enough to grab a weapon whether it be an advanced weapon or even one of the tools set aside on a table.

One held a spanner while another held a screwdriver, another two men held what seemed to be a futuristic laser gun in their hands and begun to take aim towards Alyssia.

A cold smirk appeared on her lips as she saw their actions.

Just as everything seemed to look unfavourable for her, a gunshot followed one after another and hit the men with the guns.

A giggle followed. "I would not shoot such weapons indoors, those things look unstable and who knows what damage it could cause upon hitting anything within these laboratories."

Another voice followed. "You are one to talk…"

Although there were some unstable things within the laboratory, Nica had aimed carefully to avoid any accidents since she had more than enough time to investigate the structure of the lab.

The biggest problem had always been the laser guns that could blast through a wall or may not have been properly tested before use.

If it hit something unstable then many would die in an explosion and if the gun itself was unstable then upon being fired, it may even blow up in the hands of the user and cause damage around the lab.

A fan like sound followed and a figure was seen levitating on a board with a blunt looking sword.

Ashwin controlled himself and flew towards the first person that went to attack Alyssia.

As he passed by, he swung his blunt sword at them and it seemed as if the blow was far more powerful than what he had been able to produce.

Nica looked at his display and sighed. "Tsk.. Dials are just cheating."

He was using his board and able to fly and manoeuvre within a room full of people and when he attacked, he had more of an impact in each of his swings with the modifications to his blunt sword that included Impact and Reject Dials.

One attack was more than enough to cause heavy damage to the first person and the next was quick enough to swing the spanned at him.

He steadied himself and clashed head on but it was as if he could not feel the force behind the opponents attack then continued to bring his sword back and forward once again.

It was like he was absorbing the impacts and then sending them back with his next attack so he was quick to defeat his opponents, very little of his own strength was needed to be used and he was able to adjust himself to avoid any other attacks and reposition himself when needed on his board.

As this was happening, Alyssia calmly looked as the leader was getting up with a crazed look in his eyes and yelled. "Bah! Who cares anymore! Many were faithful and followed Vegapunk like loyal puppies but where did it get them? Not once did he ever acknowledge any of us so what is wrong with my pursuits? I just want to get what he left behind and further my own research."

Alyssia yawned. "Vegapunk is a genius. Geniuses have a hard time recognising the efforts of those below them and they have even less of an understanding of those around them because of the huge distance between him and yourselves. There was always bound to be a gap no matter what. I am not on his side but I can see why he left someone like you behind. You dream too small and piggyback off others, even now you do not mind using and sacrificing others just to further your own research and resources. It is quite pitiful actually, if I was Vegapunk then I would have burned everything down so the temptation would no longer be there for people like you. In your hands… his dreams and grand designs will be used to bring great harm. However it is a national treasure of the future country that will be very important for many years to come so it will still remain. As for you? I think that you are done."

She walked over to him and increased her speed as he tried to stand and counterattack but before he could, his arms broke from two fast and targeted kicks.

The chainsaw part of his arm seemed to be heavily damaged and unable to operate, his other arm had been unable to open fire upon her and had been broken beyond repair.

Another kick landed square in his face and knocked him back against the wall, he lay there unconscious and Nica went to open the large metal door. "This is your last chance to repent for your actions. I hope that you all realise what has happened today and how you have narrowly escaped a bad future for your country. Let them inside."

A group of Marines and scientists from Baldimore entered the room looked at the mess. "What is going on in here? Why were we all called here?"

Ein stepped forward and bowed to her master among the group of people and spoke to those new people. "I have to report the leader of this group for his wild and dangerous ambitions and amassing many dangerous and unstable weapons."

Meanwhile Alyssia quietly stood back after seeing the leader was no longer a threat but kept an eye on the actions of one of the people in the crowd.

The seemed to look towards herself a couple of times and did not display much emotion but judging by his body language, he seemed to be quite pleased with himself as if he had avoided a suicide mission.

Now that the group was exposed for their crimes and Ein had took the lead to bring up the leader's crimes along with those who were directly under him, the Marines began to restrain the still living cyborg and his men then asked the others to them back to the base for questioning.

However Dr Tsukimi came forward for Alyssia, Nica, Ashwin and Ein and vouched for them stating that they were under his care, if they wished to gain further knowledge on the incident then they were welcome to visit his home where they would be staying.

Although their races and origin was somewhat in question along with their involvement, Dr Tsukimi was an elder and a respected member of the upper council on Baldimore so he had some authority on the island even in his old age so they could not overstep their current duties.
