Chapter 124 - Creation #8

Alyssia put on a serious face as she continued. "I am sorry but I took it upon myself to do some investigation into you and those connected to you for safety purposes. As you know, I have just founded Creation with you so there are things that could be problematic to you or the organisation in the future. I am sorry to say this but you need to know that those you put your trust in may not feel the same way towards you."

Ein clenched her hand and shook her head. "I cannot believe you, you are just a new arrival here so how could you possibly know our relationships."

Alyssia replied calmly. "Sometimes it takes an outsider to see things that you had not noticed because you are too close to the matter. There may even be times that you may have seen or heard something suspicious but pushed it to the back of your mind because you wanted to believe in those around you."

She activated the Tone Dial and the conversation that had been recorded began to play.

As the contents of it moved onto talking about herself, she clenched her hands tighter.

As the words of love were exchanged, she lowered her head and began to tremble.

As the plans to move against herself and Alyssia and others to create a division between them, her face went pale and her breathing became more hurried.

As it ended, she sat in silence and placed her hand over her mouth to block the sound of her sobs.

The previous lazy appearance of Ein now looked very fragile and broken by what had been revealed. "Is.. is this true?"

Alyssia nodded. "I am sorry but I am sure that you recognise the voices of most of them. I noticed something wrong on the first day in the way the man was acting around you. He was being possessive and putting on a show of affection in front of me and the others to exclude you and keep you within their group. I did not know the details so I could only investigate secretly before bringing it up, if I came to you with no form of proof then I am sure that this would have created a rift between us and they would only continue to make use of you."

She could not imagine the pain Ein was in but now that she knew the truth, she could start living for herself and pursue her own goals rather than living according to the needs of others around her.

If she was strong enough and could survive this then she may have a chance to move past it or get some revenge on those who have wronged her.

Since she was a skilled scientist and trusted person with great achievements, her own voice within the Scientific Union would be heard by those who would respect her.

Ein stood up from her chair and walked out of the room. "I need some time to think about this."

Alyssia gently spoke. "Take all the time you need but remember my warnings from before, we are on a limited time frame if we wish to make a big move."

After the door shut, Nica turned to her and asked. "Are you sure what you did was right? It was not our place to interfere."

Alyssia shook her head. "Maybe it just suits my own goals so it is my selfishness that made me tell her the truth. On the other hand it could be that I wished to awaken her from the illusion that she has been living within and let her see the reality for her own sake. Whatever made me act, it is done now and now she has to decide whether she wishes to deny this truth she has been ignoring or failed to notice, or will she accept the evidence provided and make a positive or negative response afterwards. I am hoping on the positive but it would be best to keep watch over her during this time."

Those that have suffered a great shock or betrayal and have unstable emotions may act out in ways that may harm themselves or others so it was unwise to leave her on her own during the time when she is at her worst.

Although she did ask for some time to think, occasional trips to check on her and provide her with her daily needs would be enough to check up on her.

Alyssia continued to speak. "Even if it is my own reasoning to act this way, I still owe Dr Tsukimi and we are on a time limit so I had to quickly resolve it instead of taking a slower approach. I cannot just leave his prized student to continue to be used and get caught up with the troubles of the Scientific Union. It would be very naive for them to believe what they were up to was not being monitored by someone."

Nica nodded. "So there is a spy among them like you said? What are the dangers?"

Alyssia placed her hand on her chin while thinking. "They are part of the World Government for sure but their goals are either to monitor the activity in the country or stop any type of troubling group or an uprising. Since they are loyal and some even have come with their own life and death being uncertain, they may take drastic action alone and do something to eliminate many people at once. If they call for backup then that is even more troublesome to deal with so it is best that I keep watch over them for now. When Ein returns then we can move onto the next stage of the plan and deal with the groups plot against us."

Now that the plot was exposed and Ein was aware, they could use this to their advantage.

The next day, Ein returned with even darker circles around her eyes while her eyes were slightly bloodshot. "I could not rest for too long since they plan to act so give me something good to give me enough energy for to face whatever you have planned next."

Alyssia nodded. "First I will be needing all of your blueprints and designs from what have been requested to be made by you in the past. If used correctly then we can make a big move but make sure that you leave your current work in your work place as usual."

The leader of the union was strict on the members to keep the things they were making confidential so taking blueprints home was banned but that did not mean that some would not be kept after a task had been completed.

In fact, many put those designs in their safe or desk within the underground laboratory where they continue their work.

Not everyone was so quick to destroy the blueprints and used them as study materials, Ein was not someone who would carelessly dispose of them so the next plan would go ahead and create a great disturbance within the union.

Ein replied. "When we arrive, I will hand them over to you but I already have some idea of what you wish to do. Just so you know… there are only around twenty to thirty people inside that work under the leader but some of them would be difficult to convince. You may have to be prepared to save some and abandon the rest."

Alyssia lead the way. "We can only try our best to gain as much attention and then turn the tables. I will get to work as quickly as possible so that we have everything ready for that moment."

They both walked towards the entrance of the underground laboratory and knocked on the large metal door and then entered as it opened.

They were quickly identified and gained entry without much hassle and headed to Ein's room.

Ein took out many old and crumpled pieces of paper and handed them to Alyssia.

Alyssia's hands were full of blueprints of everything Ein had been tasked to build during her first day of entry into the group.

She looked at a couple of the blueprint designs and her mouth curled up into a smirk. "This should work."

Ein sat in her chair within her room and laid back to rest. "You can go in the other room, right now I need some time to prepare myself."

Alyssia carried the stacks of papers to the room next to Ein's and began to look through each of them. "I thought so.. it seems that I was right. Not every member may be fully aware of what they are making, the leader is distributing different parts randomly to be made by different people. Unless they are able to know what will be made from just a small part of the overall design, it would be hard to identify what they are building. Hmm.. let's just treat it like a puzzle to solve and I can also let the system help see if any of the designs have any compatibility and what they could make upon being combined. That will help narrow it down."

She continued studying each one, memorising and understanding each part until the Scientific Union's underground laboratory became more busy as more people entered to begin working on their daily tasks.

Alyssia had been placing many designs by each other and arranging them like putting together several pieces that fit together, she started drawing up some possible blueprints of what would be the result of such combinations with a cold look on her face.

After finishing several drawings, she heard a commotion outside and sighed. "It must be time."
