A couple of days passed and the day finally came to meet the student of Dr Tsukimi.
Alyssia, Nica and Ashwin stood waiting and Li was playing with a small cat toy inside of his house as a young woman in her thirties entered the room.
She had a thin and pale looking body, dark patches under eyes and messy short brown hair.
She wore a pair of round glasses, a light grey coloured robe with a hood and buttoned collar and dark coloured sandals much like her master.
Overall she had a very laid back and lethargic type of appearance that comes from the type of scientist that is too busy into their research to take care of their appearance and health.
Dr Tsukimi looked at his disciple and frowned. "How many times have I told you.. take care of yourself better. One of these days I may not be around for you to remind you… the slightest mistake during an experiment can be fatal at times so as a scientist, you need to be in your best state to complete everything and minimise the failures."
The woman looked at him and crossed her arms lazily while leaning back in his seat. "Alright old man.. it is not my fault this time, they have been pushing for the next experiments to be completed as soon as possible so I have hardly had time to rest."
Dr Tsukimi sighed. "What could possibly be so important?"
The woman looked back with a complicated look in her eyes. "The union leader has pushed up the deadline… he means to act soon while the marines are not aware of us.. so why did you call me here? You don't wish to stop me from associating with those within the union? I have already told you that many of my friends are there and I cannot just abandon them."
After finishing speaking, she yawned and then spotted the others within the room. "They are?"
Dr Tsukimi shook his head. "I know there is no convincing you, even if it means throwing yourself into a fire along with those fools, you would still follow them out of loyalty.. I cannot force you to come back but I can possibly provide a solution. Ein allow me to introduce you to some people that have been studying alongside me these past couple of weeks. They have a good foundation and are talented, among them I believe that Alyssia is the most talented and helpful but that does not mean that you can casually ignore the others. Nica is good at building weapons and other things while young Ashwin has his own field of study completely different to our own."
What he meant was not to underestimate any of them just because of their young age and their current skills levels.
Alyssia was a monster that could absorb everything quickly no matter what it was so her current level could not easily be measured by him but her ability to draw up blueprints from what she had learned was to a very high level letting her experience little failure during the building process.
Nica was a young genius in her own field of engineering and electro science so upon finding new fields to study, she was naturally curious and eager to learn to build upon her already solid foundation.
Ashwin was even younger and focussed on an area completely unique and different from what the others had focussed on, he was a genius in this field and once he gained books to help solidify his foundation, he was the leading person in the room for that specific field of study.
His student may be a hard worker and skilled in mechanical engineering but there is always someone out in the world far better and more talented than herself.
She needed to become more self aware and humble herself rather than underestimate the kids in front of herself.
However as he expected his student to humble herself and become more serious, he looked over to find that she had begun snoring.
After he had finished speaking, she fell asleep sitting in his chair completely oblivious to her masters cold stare.
He reached out to wake her up but after thinking about it, took his hand back and covered her with a blanket. "Sleep first…"
He had seen her state as she entered the room but perhaps his student had been worse than he thought.
He looked over and signalled for Alyssia, Nica and Ashwin to enter the other room to allow her to rest.
If he had known that she would be in this bad of a state, he would have arranged for the meeting to be held at another time.
Since everyone was there, he had to keep the guests entertained until Ein has woken up.
After waiting a couple of hours, Ein finally woke up and looked a little better than before but still had dark patches under her eyes.
Alyssia took the time to cook up a meal between them all so that they could continue the discussion. "Allow me to introduce myself, I am Alyssia Lucine. I am a martial artist but also a scientist, navigator and a cook. My race or tribe is a little confidential so I cannot tell you right now but what I can tell you is that I have come here to learn. I am somewhat indebted to Dr Tsukimi who has kindly helped me during this time so I hope that I can repay him. So allow me to assist you as he has asked within the union."
She pointed to Nica. "This is Nica, she is an expert in engineering and energy based science. She comes from the same homeland as myself and is a close friend who grew up alongside me and followed me on my journeys to discover many new things."
Nica tipped her top hat towards Ein. "Greetings madam Ein."
She then turned to introduce Ashwin. "This is a new recruit named Ashwin, he is also from a unique race or tribe like myself. His specialty is more towards Sky Island's Dial technology and applying that knowledge towards other fields of study once he has grasped the basics of the knowledge of the blue seas science along with his own. Do not look down on him for his age and lack of foundation because he was able to get where he is with poor resources and a lack of teaching materials."
Ashwin was busy reading the book in front of himself and when he heard himself being mentioned he responded with a short. "Mm.."
Alyssia continue. "Do not take his lack of response as anything offensive, he is just a quiet person deep down. Finally there is Li, although useless most of the time… she can provide some entertainment and keep everyones spirits up."
Li lifted her head up then tilted her head to the side upon hearing her name being mentioned. "Mrow? (Mommy?)"
Alyssia patted her head giving her some attention.
Ein sat back in her chair and calmly studied those before her. 'What a strange group.. it will be difficult to be accepted by the others but it is better to try rather than give up early.'
The combination of two furry minks of different forms, sizes and builds belonging to the tall Alyssia and the much shorter Nica was already something to be unusual in normal peoples eyes.
However the addition of Ashwin who had angel wings on his back was something that made them stand out even more.
It could be said that the most normal life form within the room besides herself and Dr Tsukimi would be Li the cat.
However Ein did not know that perhaps Li was just as weird as the rest since she possessed the ability to transform her body into a lynx.
Since her master had approved of them she could only take on the risks and try to cover for them within the union. "Alright I accept. I will introduce you all to the place tomorrow."
