Within the Happo Navy headquarters the word about the challenges began to spread very quickly as her victories began to increase.
However it had yet to reach inside the upper ranks of their headquarters but just as Chinjao was sitting at his desk going over the war expenses, there was a knock at the door.
A foreign visitor had requested a meeting with him through his contacts and had stated that their aim was to pass on a message that may catch his interest and align with one of his goals or desires.
Intrigued by such a bold statement, he allowed entry to the person and let him be escorted to his private room.
A man with slicked back greyish hair walked into the room wearing a black suit and tie and held a cane in his hands which showed that his status was one of either high rank or he worked for someone that came from a rich background.
Chinjao evaluated him carefully and then spoke. "What is your purpose?"
Alfred bowed showing his respect for the old man opposite him but also showed his efforts from practicing with some of the booklets that had been written and placed within the ship. "My master has asked me to make contact with you specifically to arrange a meeting between you two."
Chinjao frowned and spoke coldly. "Is that all? If that is it then you can leave. I have no interest."
Alfred seemed to be unfazed even if he was putting up a front he still stepped forward under Chinjao's displeased gaze and took out a letter from his inner pocket of his suit jacket then placed it on the desk. "Please make a decision after reading my masters letter. I will be leaving now. I hope to hear from you soon."
He bowed respectfully once more and left the room only to be escorted out of the headquarters.
As he finally got out of the headquarters and was closer to the docks, his weak knees almost made him fall over so he stopped himself and wiped the sweat from his brow. 'Wow… so that is the person who clashed with the Hero Garp, Gol D Roger and Silvers Rayleigh during his prime. Even if he has weakened over the years, he is still terrifyingly intimidating in person.'
Although he did not wish to provoke such a person, he had been ordered to arrange a meeting and pass on the letter so he had to handle his task so that no big conflict comes from this and Alyssia can achieve whatever goal she had in mind."
Meanwhile Chinjao sat in the room with his grandsons Boo and Sai who had just finished their training.
Boo laughed at his brother who was mocking him for not training seriously while Chinjao watched their usual behaviour but he turned to Sai and spoke. "Your fiancé has been chosen to develop stronger ties with the Niho Navy and you will be Uholisia's twenty sixth husband. With this we can build a strong alliance between the two navy presences within the country and fend off any foreign invaders."
Sai seemed to be uninterested in the political side of things and agreed to his grandfathers request. "I do not really care who I marry so do as you please."
He looked around and saw something on the desk and picked it up. "Gramps, what is this? Why haven't you opened it?"
Boo also seemed to be interested as he tried to snatch it from his brothers hand but was quickly avoided and scolded once again. "You still lack proper training. You will never be able to get the better of me unless you train seriously."
His quick reflexes and strength that he showed within that moment were enough to show off his physical prowess that would later be revealed to match his two hundred and ten million berry bounty that the world government would give him after the Dressrosa Arc.
However this did not stop the letter from leaving his hands as the previous five hundred and forty two million berry bounty, Chinjao had quickly moved to snatch it from his hands as he coughed. "Even if I am weakened you still cannot match me so you still need to train even harder if you wish to inherit my navy fleets.
Sai had a serious look in his eyes. "Gramps! I will soon become a powerful leader of the Happo Navy so don't you wait too long for me to achieve my goal."
With the loss of the Chinjao's drill technique to break the ice sheet, Chinjao had despaired over the families future and hoped that his grandson would be able to succeed him before he dies of illness or old age.
The political marriage was to secure a future for the family but also build strong enough ties so that the family can survive without him but if the families technique is revived then he would become hopeful for the future once more.
However right now, his grandsons who had shown the most talents were still growing and had yet to perfect their technique so he had no choice but to strictly arrange their lives.
If they gave him enough reassurance then perhaps he would allow them to marry whoever they like and live as they please.
He looked at the letter and opened it and read. "Dear Chinjao. This is Alissia Lucine, an explorer and martial artist. I have a goal to become the strongest person in the world and require your assistance to make that happen."
He began to laugh halfway through as if he had just seen something ridiculous but continued. "I know that you have darkness in your heart that will not be extinguished until you have revenge on Monkey D Garp or one of his descendants. However many powerful fighters stand in my path as the top world powerhouses. Garp is among them as a purely physical fighter so there will be a time when I may fight him. I know that he left you with a large wound in your heart, how about I do the same to him as he suffers a defeat to a student that you have taught personally? I hope to hear from you soon. I will be outside your training grounds challenging your people so I hope that I can win enough times to be able to catch your attention."
Chinjao suddenly had a look of rage on his face after reading out the part about Garp, so when Sai noticed his change he spoke. "Take a deep breath and calm down. Who is this person?"
Chinjao shrugged. "I do not know, never heard of her but this can either be taken as a joke or a serious letter. I hope they are not joking otherwise they will suffer for angering me on purpose. Boo, you go watch the changes and report back to me. If you get the chance and feel this person is worthy, challenge them."
Although he had been provoked, after calming down he was able to rationally strategise his and his grandsons next movements without much delay.
The letter was designed using his deep grudge against Garp to drive him out of his headquarters and also catch his interest.
So long as she proved her worth then it would not be long before one of the Grandsons of the Chinjao family would arrive in front of her.
As instructed, Alfred was to leave right after delivering the letter to avoid being caught up in the heavy atmosphere that was created by provoking Chinjao and suffering from his outburst.
