Tank cuts the zip ties on the girls wrists and slides an M.R.E. to her "Are you going to kill me?" she asks. "Do people normally feed those they are about to kill? Seems like a waste of resources to me." Jason says tapping his cane. Jessica follows the instructions on the bag and starts scarfing food down. Jason slides her a water bottle that she greedily drinks. The boys look at one another behind Jason. "We asked Rat if he could live with you being here and he said the old world is dead, and all the things that happened are dead so as he sees it you have done nothing to him." Jason slides more food and another water bottle over to her. "If you can live with our rules you can stay and when Riley gets back we will go about figuring out how to save your friends at the High School." Jason says recounting the only thing she had told them. There are others, and they are at the High School. "Now lets begin." Jason says getting up and collecting a very large hand made book with the words "Book Of Jason" written across the cover. "Rule 1 we don't fight each other we are at war with the world now." Jason reads the 10 rules so far created. "Do you think you or the others can live with that?" Jason asks the girl. Her green eyes dance between the three in front of her. "Yes I-I think they will agree too." She says. "Good now to business. How many of you are there, and what's your situation like?" Jason asks. The girl sighs tears rolling down her cheeks. "I don't know how many exactly we didn't ever really do a head count, but I think like 15 and 3 teachers. Mrs. Koontz, Mrs. King, and Mr. Stoker." The girl sips some water. "We have been there this whole time. I'm the first to leave. We ate all the food in the cafeteria and haven't had food in a few days. The teachers said that one day we all went into a coma and the plague of walkers-" Jason raises his hand cutting her off. "Zombies The Plague Of Zombies don't use names for them, they are zombies please continue." The girl nods. "We woke up about a month or so ago and the school had been surrounded by hundreds of them." The girl's eyes bore into each boy as if begging "Did I do good?' Jason nods, tapping his cane. "How did you get out if they surrounded the school, and were in the hundreds?" Jason asks. "I climbed onto the roof and jumped to a bus with my little sister, and we ran but she got bit and and." She pauses to collect herself. "Did your sister fall into a coma?" Jason asks. The girl shakes her head. "She didn't, my parents brought her to the school and went to get a doctor for me they never came back." She says. Jason nods "Did you get all that Riley?" Jason asks the stealthy boy hidden behind the doorway. "Yes I'll get to work on scouting in the morning." Riley says falling into a chair at the end of the table. "You look like shit." Tank says to the blood drenched boy. "The pvc piping, fiberglass rods, nine inch nails, paracord, duct tape, and grinder wheels all need to be taken to the garage and everything else to the resource store shed." Riley says drinking a bottle of water. "Are you going to get some rest brother?" Tank asks. "Shower then I have more work to do." Riley stands and begins ascending the stairs before stopping. "How many points do I have right now?" Riley asks. "50 for the generator's times 2 for teamwork and 50 alone for the vans haul." Jason says. "How much for this knife?" Riley taps the hunting knife hanging from his belt. "50 points." Jason says. "Put me down for 2." Riley says. "Have her shower in the downstairs bathroom and meet me in the garage, we have work to do." With that the boy made his way into the bathroom. Looking at his feet Riley watches the crimson water drain. "I will conquer this world in a sea of my enemies' blood" He whispers. Getting out Riley dresses in clean b.d.u's he had gotten from the surplus store. Even though he was wearing the jacket he still puts his leather coat on. Entering the garage he sees Jessica nervously standing there. "Go get 2 gallons of water, make sure you tell them it's on me and call Alex a loser for authenticity." Riley says putting his materials out on the workbench. The garage was a large 3 car garage with a wooden bench table that wrapped all the way around except a space where the door leading to the house and the garage doors. A few moments later the girl came back struggling with the water. Measuring all the pipes Riley cuts them until they are all 4 feet long and puts the excess in a pile to the side. "Come here and pay attention." Riley says. "First mark a frown at one end like this." Riley shows her and has her do it to another pipe. "Good now we do the same exactly on the other end." The pair do as he said and then Riley hands her a dremel grinder and takes one himself. "Now comes the tricky part: we are going to carefully grind the frown we marked without going all the way through." he then shows her and they begin working on more pipes winding up with 9 completed and 1 being ruined. "I'm sorry." The girl says as Riley tosses the pole aside. "9 out of 10 is good. I'll use that pipe for something else now for the part that will suck." Riley says handing the girl some gloves. "We have to cut these fiberglass rods so that we have 3. One will be 4 feet long then 3 then 2 we will line these up so they are perfectly centered and tape them together. Oh and the fiberglass is gonna cut and give us splinters." Riley shows the girl then has her help him. After they have made the 9 they need they take a moment to use tweezers and pliers to remove splinters. "What are we making?" Jessica asks as she pulls a splinter out. "Bows and arrows." He replies standing and running all the fiberglass bundles into the pipes. Running the paracord up the length of the pipes Riley cuts the rope 4 inches below the end and then ties loops before stringing the bows. "How do you know how to do this?" The girl asks Riley. He chuckles. "Youtube." He says grabbing wooden dowels and cutting notches in one side he then grabs the nail and starts cutting it into 1 inch segments. He grinds one end to a round sharp point and the other end into a thin rod to insert in the dowel. He glues it with some gorilla glue they already had. Using duct tape he fletches, and cleans it up using scissors. "Now make as many as possible before you sleep." Riley says leaving the girl to work. "Where are you going?" Alex asks Riley as the older boy throws his back pack over his shoulder. "Scouting , scavenging, and killing." Riley responds as he picks up another hunting knife from the market that matches the one he already has. "Go help Jessica make arrows. Alex when she decides to stop, make me some pipe bombs." Alex shrugs and goes to do the tasks he had been asked. Tank sees Riley gathering things and walks up to him. "I thought you were waiting until sun up Ri." Tank says leaning in the doorway. "I plan on looking around the areas surrounding the school to get an idea of how much playroom we have." Riley says grabbing a Jericho gates city map from the pile of maps they have. "Well then I'm gonna go with you." Tank says grabbing a backpack. "Nope you already got a Riley adventure today it would be me following his looney ass tonight." Rat says tossing a flashlight to Riley. "Got a point." Riley says, shrugging to Tank. Rat watches Riley leave. "You good?" He asks the titan in the doorway. "Yeah I just am worried about him. Man feels like our brother is slipping or doing something to himself that's making him grow cold and a killer." Tank says. "We all are lucky to have him and he is doing what he needs to. Slipping or not, killer or not, if we are his brothers we will be there for him so he can fall as far as he needs, look at me. Only a month and lots have changed. I was a racist and a snitch but now I contribute and have at least 10% badass status compared to then so trust him." Rat says sliding past him. "Yeah but I hope he doesn't give too much." Tank whispers to Rats back.
