I never would have thought Goblins were loud snorers. Anyways I wonder how Lyra feels right now. Time to eat some breakfast and find out. I made sure the others were awake so we could go together.
We ate our breakfast and made our way to the church. When we arrived and asked for Lyra the priests we're very grateful we returned her safely. Lyra was feeling a little bit better but she needed some time to process everything that happened. If we came back tomorrow we would be able to see her.
Hopefully we can still get our reward. So we made our way to the guild and explained the situation. We came to an agreement that we would get half of the reward now and half later after they spoke with the witness. So we received 50 gold pieces.
But I think it is far from over, like that leader said. Other people will take their place, Zaquan told me it was a cult. I do not really know what that is but it sounds fun! We had quite a lot of time to kill so we looked towards the quest board. The sewer rats have been acting strange lately, this seems interesting. Though I'm not too keen about going into the sewers.
We took the quest and relaxed the rest of the day, we still needed to check back with Lyra so we will do that tomorrow. I don't know what the rest is going to do but I'll be in my room drawing.

A new day is here, I feel quite well rested. I hope the others feel the same too. I did not hear them come in last night, but I'm sure that they are fine. I'll just go and have some breakfast.
I went downstairs and asked the owner if he saw them. He said they were out already. I took my time and got some breakfast before heading off to the church. I hope Lyra is okay.
I looked around for a bit in the hopes to find Zaquan and Glerm, but did not have any luck with that. I went to the church and asked for Lyra. The nice priest sent me to her room. When I entered her room she was behind her desk writing something. She had brown wavy hair, beautiful green eyes and a beautiful smile.
The way her white dress sways when she walks. I didn't look at her that much in the cave, because you know… Anyways, she was gorgeous. Lyra thanked me for saving her from those cultists. Then out of the blue she asked me a question. "Can I come with you?" Yes, absolutely, one thousand percent yes you can come!
I asked her why she would want to join us. Her answer was that she owed us her life and that the cultists will probably target her again. So she has to stay on the move. I thought that was a great argument.
We still needed to go to the guild to round up the rest of the reward. And potentially find out what Lyra's adventurers rank is. Where could the other two have gone to. Lyra said that she would take a moment to gather her stuff, after that she would meet me outside.
When she came outside she already had her shield and leather armor on. The only thing she needed now was a weapon. We went to the guild together. I explained we came for the rest of the reward. They took Lyra to a back room to talk to her so I waited in the lobby. After a while she came back telling me she is a Cleric, she already received the reward for us.
I hope that the others are at the tavern so we can go into the sewers later today. We went over there to check for them and we found them passed out on the table. The owner said they came in a bit after I went out and they have been like this ever since. So I tried to wake them normally but that didn't work. I had a good idea, I was going to splash them with a bucket of water.
I grabbed the bucket with both hands, making sure I had the angle right to splash them both. When the water hit their faces they shot up and both very very drink. The sewers weren't going to happen today. We took them to their rooms to sober up and didn't allow them back out. I went back to the tavern owner to get Lyra her own room.
I went back up to give her the key and I checked back with Glerm and Zaquan. They were sleeping like babies. The rest of the night I spent talking with Lyra and making sure those two idiots don't go out again.
Bloomrich 68th,
The idiots woke up with a good hangover, I guess they kind of deserved it. But now they won't fight like they usually would. A good breakfast always helps.
After we were set and ready to go we headed to the sewer entrance. It was quite dark but luckily Lyra had a spell that would summon a couple of orbs that give off a bright light. We could see relatively clearly now. Lyra sent one of them ahead to be able to see danger earlier.
The first few turns were quiet. Nothing to be seen but the deeper we went into the sewers the more rats we saw running in one direction. We decided to follow the rats for the moment. A couple of the rats tried to fight us but they were just rats, no big deal, right?
Wrong, the rats led us to a larger room with a throne. We decided to hang back a bit to see what was going on. After a while an old man came from behind if the throne with a weird crown made of sticks and stones. Luckily he did wear pants because I did not want to see what's under there.
This man is clearly insane. He gave an entire speech about how he will soon take comerth by sending an entire army of rats to the surface. He then started naming every single rat that was in there. So we took a little rest whilst listening. When he was done he dismissed the rats, and that the new rats come join him for a tour. Zaquan had an amazing idea, if I turned into a rat I could go undercover with them to see what is really going on.
I thought it was amazing too. I looked at one of the rats and focused myself on turning I to one of them. I left Nibbles with Zaquan so he wouldn't be in any danger. I felt my bones shrink a lot. It felt weird but didn't hurt. I ran into the room where the "rat king" was before and he was still waiting with 3 other rats.
He took one look at me and said that he had not seen me before, and that I will be Jonathan Conquer the seventh. Strange name but sure, I couldn't do anything about it. I tried to blend in with the other rats. Some rats were perched on his shoulder. I decided to do that too. He brought us further into the sewers and kept muttering about those pesky surface dwellers.
He used to be a part of the city Council as a scientist. But the city valued the church more so they kicked him out after one of his inventions blew up the Lords daughter. The king put a death sentence on his head but he managed to escape into the sewers. After that he's been in the sewer plotting his revenge to first take Comerth, and the rest of the world will follow.
It went on for quite a bit, I could feel myself transforming myself but I held myself together. The rat king showed us all the places we could possibly find him so I made sure to memorise the way over there. He asked us if we came back for another meeting in 3 days. I nodded in agreement. When the tour was over I met up with the rest of the crew.
I told them about the layout of the sewers and what his plan was. I had a good idea about how to take care of this. We could go to the council and tell them that the guy they kicked out is now plotting their destruction with rats. The rest agreed so we went there, after taking a bath because we smell terrible now.
We took our baths, got something to eat and made our way to the city hall. It was a small building that looked pretty worn and in need of a big cleanup. When we went inside it was not the best looking either. I'm really starting to miss the beauty of Moghdun.
Zaquan asked to speak to the council, it was urgent and about very crucial information. Luckily they weren't busy and they let us inside their office. It had a big round table with some sort of orb in the middle of it. The walls were encased in old bookshelves and above it a tribune.
There was a man in a red robe, looks about 45, a woman in a white dress with puffy shoulders and a cross, a Dwarf with his metal armor and a halfling in a green robe. We stood before them explaining the situation and what I saw. They all looked quite worried.
A bit later the woman in white sent out a carrier pigeon and said. Thank you for this information, I just sent out a letter to the lord explaining the situation. In 3 days he will arrive with an extermination team, and that we need not to worry. We took their signatures on the quest paper and thanked them for their time.
We went to the adventure to claim our 75 gold reward. This was a great opportunity to celebrate so that is what we are going to do.
Bloomrich 69th,
Last night was pretty crazy. Glerm found himself a new bucket. I was worried people would freak out if they saw a Goblin. But everyone was too drunk to care. Lyra went to her room earlier than the rest but that's okay.
I woke up pretty rested but Zaquan and Glerm were still out cold. I took my time to get downstairs where Lyra was already waiting. I told her the others were still asleep so we could go ahead and eat some breakfast.
After a while Glerm and Zaquan came downstairs as well. We waited for them to finish their breakfast, after they finished it we went to the guild to look for a new quest. We looked over at the quest board there and found nothing. We were probably a little too late. We went outside and walked around for a bit.
In the direction of the main square I heard someone yelling about something. Whilst the rest went back to the tavern I went to the town square. There was an elf standing on a soap box yelling about adventure, fame and fortune! I decided to hear him out. His name is Elwin and he works for an employer called Everman.
He followed up with that on this island there isn't that much to see, it's part of a much bigger continent called Folin. Right now we are on the Bearpaw Archipelagos. If I got a party together they could pick us up in the Port of Dolcour. It sounded interesting, I still want the opinion of the rest though. He said to come back tomorrow with the rest.
I went back to the tavern and gathered everyone around. I told them about Elwin and mister Everman. Lyra thought it was a good idea, Zaquan wasn't really sure. He said he would think about it. Glerm was just… there. He seemed a bit odd.
Normally he is an enormous ball of energy but now he is silent. Just looking around a bit. I look at the table and see my pipe and my herbs in front of him! Zaquan said he was unbearable so he gave some to him and hoped that I didn't mind. But we would check back in together tomorrow so we can decide if we want to go to the Port of Dolcour.
For the rest of the day I played with Nibbles until he fell asleep. I'm heading off to bed too. We have an important decision to make. I hope Zaquan will agree with this plan.

I woke up did my usual business and went downstairs. When I was just outside the door I heard Zaquan waking up too. As usual Lyra was sitting downstairs waiting for us. I sat down and ordered my breakfast. I hope Zaquan changed his mind about going overseas. It sounds like a really good opportunity.
Lyra and I talked about it a bit more what the quests would be like. Imagine what mister Everman would look like. We were both very exited. She pushed me a little bit and acted like it wasn't her and smiled afterwards. Weird but okay I pushed her back a bit.
After a little while Zaquan and Glerm came down. Glerm was really exited about going overseas bouncing through the entire tavern. I asked Zaquan what his final answer was. He decided to come along for now. He said he didn't like boats for some reason though.
We ate our breakfast, took all of our stuff with us and thanked the owner for his hospitality. The town square was pretty quiet this morning so we found Elwin with ease. With the party in tow I approached him. He looked them over and gave me a couple of papers.
If we were to cross the seas we would need these papers for allowing us to board the boats. There was also a letter in there.
Good day adventurer,
Welcome to the Everman business. Before you get to meet Gaelric Everman in person you need to complete a single task. This task will be given to you once you board the carriage in Dolcour. That carriage will bring you to the destination of the task and will wait for your return. After which that carriage will bring you to Ravenwatch. Where I, Giselle Marblevale, will wait for you in the Everman estate. Safe travels and good luck to you brave adventurer. May the gods shine upon you.
~ Giselle Marblevale,
Mister Everman's personal assistant.
After we read the letter Elwin told us to come with him. He will accompany us to the nearest port. We walked towards the city gates where a big carriage was waiting for us. We all stepped in and Elwin took the reins. It took us a little while to get to the port. So it was around midday when we arrived there.
Elwin gave us a little good luck charm in the shape of a duck, we thanked him and he said. May Lord Quecli be with you. I don't know who that is but thanks Elwin! We unloaded the cart and walked towards the boat. We showed them our papers and went on our way.
We were going to have to sail past another island so we didn't have to cross it on foot. When we arrived at the Port of Dolcour, it was already late in the evening. When we set foot on dry land. Zaquan was looking a bit green though. One of the deckhands came toward us and told us to go to an Inn for the night. The carriage will arrive at noon so get plenty of rest.
I thanked him and took a good look around me. The port was pretty big, a lot of big crates and cranes were scattered around. On one part of the port was a little market with pretty lights. Upon closer inspection they were fireflies in jars.
It was a very pleasant sight to see after Comerth. We walked along the main road until we found the town square. The name of the Inn is The Boar's Bounty. We walked inside and it was a very joyful Inn. There were Bards playing songs, people drinking and having a great time. I checked in with the Innkeeper for a couple of rooms. It was relatively cheaper than in Comerth, 7 silvers per evening. We would only need to be staying one evening.
We got some food and joined a bit in the joyful mood of the tavern. I didn't make it too late so I went upstairs to my room. I'm really exited to find out who this Gaelric Everman is. He seems like an interesting person.
I can't believe I left my home 2 weeks ago already. Before I left my life was pretty uneventful, I used to walk through the forest picking mushrooms and talking to the animals. Now I travel across the world with a group of strangers. I will not lie and say I miss my old life a bit. But my new life is very exiting! I can't wait until I've seen everything!
