Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

It was one beautiful morning, the sun crawling its way over Gal Míren. Gal Míren was seated on an almost one hundred acre radius. There were many school buildings, and other facilities, all built in a complex architecture.

The students slept in apartments, five in each, for both the boys and girls. These apartments were seated at the far sides of Gal Míren, the boys' in the West and the girls' in the East.

In one of the apartments,

"What the..." Levan jumped up, bewildered. His alarm startled him every morning, almost knocking the life out of him.

"Dude, your alarm is so annoying." Eric grunted, shifting in his bed and squeezing his pillow onto his head. Levan immediately slammed his alarm off.

"Alright. Alright. Guys, arise and shine." Levan called, swinging his legs off the four poster bed. Levan, Eric, Curtis, Fraden and Baron shared the same apartment.

"Ha.So you guys finally woke up. Thought you were dead." a deep husky voice resounded in the room. Fraden walked out of the bathroom, a towel tied around his waist and drying his long coal black hair with another towel. Fraden had a godly physique, one well toned body. Calling him handsome would earn you a quick death. There were, literally,no words to describe this guy. His golden eyes gleamed brightly in the early morning sun, which had crawled its way into the room, through the large single window.

"Oh,Fraden. I see you got up early," a sarcastic voice rung through the room. Baron jumped down out of his bed, clad in his undies. Baron was nothing compared to Fraden, though he, too, had some marvel lingering about him. He was a little bit smaller, compared to Fraden, though they shared the well tonedness. Baron had inky blue hair and violet eyes.

Fraden didn't mention anything to Baron and continued to dry his hair. Fraden Archibald and Baron Argyle held some sort of grudge against each other. But they didn't let any of their roomies know.

"Hope you had a peaceful night," Baron double tapped Fraden on the back, continuing into the bathroom. Fraden didn't flinch a bit.

"Hey,Fraddie. Care telling us what's up with the both of you?" Eric asked, getting out of the velvety blankets that dorned his bed. He had shoulder long fawn hair and mahogany brown eyes. He,too, was clad in his undies. Well..this was a boys' apartment, and more so dormitory, so they didn't really mind that.

"You aren't old enough to know yet.I bet you can't bear to know the truth." Fraden dropped his towel onto his bed.

"Don't judge a book by its cover." Eric Gray Chambers grabbed a towel and made for the bathroom. "You aren't a book, either." Fraden told him.

Levan grabbed his towel and walked into the bathroom. Baron could be heard savouring the chill of the ice cold water in the shower. Levan immediately brushed his teeth while waiting for Eric to finish his bath. The two chatted along, merrily.

"Hi,guys." Curtis walked into the bathroom, still clad in his pajamas. Curtis Balëdain was the most responsible guy among the five. He cared to be sure everything about him was in place. Curtis had mousy brown hair and emerald green eyes. Not to mention, he was the shortest,no higher than 5ft 01inches. The tallest was,of course, Fraden who towered into 6ft 11inches. The others ranged from 5ft to 6ft 9inches.

"Tell me you weren't asleep all this time,"Eric beamed from within the cubicle.

"Sure thing. You guys weren't coming so I came to check on you," Curtis pressed toothpaste onto his toothbrush and started to brush his teeth. "Since when did you start to care,Curtis?" Eric asked. "Since forever." Curtis informed him.The trio rushed through their morning routine and immediately went on to get dressed.

Their apartment was very spacious, providing enough room for the five. There were closets, standing beside each of the beds,in which the boys put their uniforms and clothes.

"Dude, it's almost breakfast." Eric said, buttoning up his shirt, admiring himself in the full length mirror that stood beside his closet. Eric was the kind who liked to eat.

"Relax, bro. You ain't gonna miss anything." Levan said. Levan was a particularly unique guy. He had long pearl white hair that almost touched his waistline, complete with a pair of ocean blue eyes. He,too, was a sight to behold. But do not be deceived by their good looks,he and Fraden.

"Even though you missed, there is a convenience store, and a cafeteria." Curtis added. This school offered a whole truck load of facilities other schools, anywhere, didn't offer.

"Your treat??"Eric turned to face Curtis who was getting dressed beside his bed. "No.Of course not." Curtis shook off that idea.

The trio put on their school uniforms. A pair of grey pants, a white button down long sleeved shirt, a navy blue neck tie, a grey V neck and a navy blue coat. They then headed towards the hall, downstairs for breakfast.

Gal Míren was an academy dominated majorly by the Elven race, though there were other species of Middle Earth beings including Haradrim[Hobbits],Atani[Men] and a few dwarves. Here, the students were offered knowledge about their respective races and with whom they were affiliated. The school also taught students how to use their abilities, and equipped them with the ability to defend themselves, using a wide variety of weapons. Once in this school, a student had to spend four years of theoretical and tactical training, and Levan, here, and his comrades were in the third year, a year away from their graduation. Gal Míren harboured taught all kinds of elves, regardless of their distinctions, which are basically; Sun,Moon,Snow,Avariel[Winged], Aquatic,Wild[Grugarch],Deep[Rockseer], Wood, High,Grey, Valley and a very small number of the Dark Elven race.

"I'm wondering what we are gonna study today." Curtis said. The group were seated at a table, munching through their breakfast.

Boys from all classes, clad in the same uniform as them, chatted and laughed, each minding their own business.

"Oh,please. Don't ruin my breakfast with such a disgusting question." Eric said, forking sausages and munching them down.

"It's the normal routine,Curt. No need to ask." Levan patted Curtis on the shoulder. Curtis had a pair of round silver brimmed spectacles hiding his emerald green eyes. Levan's hair was tied in an ponytail, part of it flowing down his shoulders.

"I'm obliged to ask." Curtis said, forking bacon.

"You always ask that same question during breakfast." Eric groaned, munching sausages. Noticing that Fraden wasn't eating,he said, "Hey Fraddie. Can I have that plate if you aren't gonna gobble it down?" Fraden didn't hesitate. He handed Eric the plate of sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Eric was quick to eat it all up.

"Easy boy.You don't want to be sleeping in Liege Sèverin's class. That could earn you a full month's detention." Levan pointed out.

Here in Gal Míren, they called their teachers 'Liege', an old fashioned form for 'Lord'.

"And watch out for the White Coats. Enormous appetites, too, can earn you a detention, especially for boys." Curtis added.

The White Coats, as the students liked to call them, were the members of the Circle Of The Guilded. They were like the prefect body here in Gal Míren. White Coats, from which their nickname originated, was a symbol of their prefecture and they all were Final Years.

"I don't give a damn." Eric continued to gobble down his food. Fraden, a prefect himself, was forced to shake his head in disbelief.
