Once the Su Family left, the scene suddenly became awkward. Patriarch Tao turned his thoughts quickly, realizing that Su Weifeng could not be offended, he continued to hold a grand banquet and turned the welcome banquet for the Su Family into a family banquet. The banquet soon started, and Su Weifeng was seated at the main table with Tao Tao, a treatment she usually didn't receive. Even Tao Zijian benefitted from the light and got to sit by Su Weifeng's side, partly to avoid awkwardness and partly to let the young man lighten the mood.
"Brother-in-law, I'll toast to you. I've never looked up to anyone among my peers, but today, upon meeting you, I have to admit defeat. You're simply not human," Tao Zijian stood up, raising his glass.
"If I'm not human, what am I?" Su Weifeng laughed, without taking offense.
