There were many gaming activities so we ended up staying there. I figured that as long as I enjoyed the game, I wouldn't feel bad about going to college and not being able to play in the first semester. And we had just finished our tests so we could as well lighten up. Ruyi and I stayed in the town that night and the next day, we were still on a gaming spree.
I had to admit, I was no game-playing material but I could cheer. So I kept cheering on Ruyi. She was really cool and I really thought she could end up playing in a league. I fantasized about seeing her here the next year and of course, I could also cheer her here.
And like I thought she was really offered a chance for a team. Well, we were happy so we ate very much and then stayed in the apartment my parents had in the Town center.
The next day, we went to the place where the team practiced. I saw the two guys who sat behind us on the day of the match and we learned their identities. Apparently, the handsome guy who I saw first was Viyu who won the match. Now it made sense why he was hiding in the corner no one really noticed. And the other guy was the manager of the team called Sidharth.
I had nothing to do there actually so I stayed put in the outer room and played with my VirtuScreen. The VS did all the work like managing files, entertainment, and also communication. But it was a relatively costly one so not everyone could use it for now. My parents also participated when it was being conceived so that's why I could get one as one of the perks my parents got for working in its research.
The quiet time was actually boring and I started missing my catering brother. But it didn't make me desperately want to talk to strangers though. The team had five members now. Yuvi, the leader, the one who won a championship, had the most say. Then Sidharth apparently was the one who provided money and other things. Lie Ruyi, the other newcomers were twins. Vari and Vira, both looked completely the same, with the same clothes, so I had to use intuition to judge their identity. Also, their voices were different, so I could judge the girl, Vari.
I pretty much got to know them when we hung out in the evening. But not everyone was a talker, though. I stopped trying after not getting a straight answer from Viyu. If I hadn't met him for the first time, i would have thought i had bullied him or something so that he had a lifelong grudge against me. Anyway, his answers were funny though if he had answered someone else. Like when I asked him, how did he manage to win single-handedly, he straight up said he used both of his hands. But if I considered that it was the way he answered every one of us, then that wasn't true. Maybe I was disturbing them so i thought of going somewhere else the next day.
So I visited the local library, museum, parks, and water parks. Then I was really homesick. Ruyi wouldn't come back with me so i went back alone. My brother welcomed me very much but then again i would be fine as long as we didn't fight. I tried very hard to be harmonious and had only minor fights and no property damage. It was a groundbreaking kind of achievement we had.
Days passed and it was finally when I had to go to University. I had decided to do some research but mostly I wanted to learn about security jobs. I couldn't fight but I could design security systems. So I chose my majors as Programming and Abilities. Abilities is for those who want to push their bodies to limits. That major has few people but it is good in my opinion. As long as you can graduate, the future is limitless. That's why this major has many dropping students because not everyone can pass this.
My parents helped me get a part-time job at their laboratory as a Recording assistant and i had to organize all the results two days a week which was fine as I had two days off for my classes.
And I enjoyed my programming class very much. Because I liked it, i learned it very well. The Abilities class wouldn't start till all the seniors start their classes. Because there are like only fifty students in the whole university. I had to work for a semester and the result would tell if I could stay in this major or not. So I was very much excited, nervous, and happy to start this class finally.
I arrived at the classroom and waited for everyone to arrive and then i found out who the leading person was in this class. It was Viyu and i was terribly worried if we fought someday. The first semester, only seniors taught while the professors observed in secret. But rumors say that no one observed. I decided to do my best either way.
And that was the reason i hadn't punched Viyu in the face. He acted super irritating and I was itching to fight with him once I got a chance.
He advised everyone but satirized me.
"Sumi, you aren't concentrating on the energy field. Is it passing by your head?"
I hoped it passed in his head.
"Sumi, are you even listening to me?"
Like, I was communicating with ghosts.
"Sumi, can you please tell us instead of demonstrating?"
Why, would I blow your head up?
And then he talks to others like this.
"Dont worry. This is your first time, you will get better."
"I'll help you with this once."
"This is not easy now. Try more."
That idiot had two faces and no one would believe me. Ruyi did not believe me. My best friend believed him to be a total gentleman.
