After hearing the serious answer from Mo Ling, a smile appeared on Bi Yuhan's face.
"Then, I'll say the reason when the time comes."
Seeing that he didn't dodge the subject or lie, Mo Ling respected his honesty.
Although she didn't receive a direct answer to her question or know the reason behind his concern, since she couldn't detect anything bad from it, she accepted his answer.
One can have secrets of their own. She has some too that she didn't share with him. So she was okay with him if he didn't want to talk for the time being.
As long as he didn't interfere in her affairs too much and get hurt by them, she was fine with everything else.
Mo Ling unconsciously opened up to Bi Yuhan without knowing herself.
"Alright." After acknowledging his words she hesitated to answer his previous question.
But eventually said honestly, "I was going to see Brian, the guy that caught today."
"It's important to see him today?"
"Yes." It's because Reaper and the rest were going to depart tomorrow and she needed some intel on the forces they're goi6 to face while searching for the remaining Scarlet army members.
She didn't elaborate her reason. They have to operate this mission secretly. So she can't take any chances.
"Then I'll send you there." He didn't mind that the boy didn't say his reason for his urgency.
Mo Ling nodded and didn't reject his offer since it couldn't disturb her plan if he sent her there.
So they got up together and left the room. Bi Yuhan didn't forget to bring a pair of woolen gloves for Mo Ling.
When they came down, they saw Kevin and Seven staring at each other like it's a competition.
They simply ignored the two and bypassed them, gaining attention from both at the same time.
"Are you going out?" Kevin questioned when he saw the direction they were going.
"Can't you take rest for a few days even when you're hurt?" His heart ached for Mo Ling and also felt helpless about her stubborn and upright nature.
When he heard the tone that he often saw her behaving like this and thus helpless, Bi Yuhan narrowed his eyes.
He didn't like this feeling that he isn't close enough to know the kid's actual nature and had to ask him questions cautiously to know that, but Kevin knew the boy like the back of his hand by his minimal actions.
He felt that he needed to work hard even more and be the one who's closest to the boy.
His jealousy kicked in and a sour atmosphere spread rapidly in the living room.
Mo Ling looked at him puzzled when she detected the change in his aura.
But she didn't react much and turned to Kevin who's nagging beside her ear continuously.
"It's an important matter. So I must go. Moreover he's coming with me, so don't worry." She said seriously and pointed at Bi Yuhan.
The man beside her suddenly turned from a jealous demon to a blissful angel after hearing her words.
