Mo Ling stared at Bi Yuhan with wide eyes when he continued to lecture her.
She didn't know why his fire was directed at her all of a sudden while he was firing at Kevin.
When he asked her whether she understood, she nodded dazedly.
Because in her seventeen years of life, the word guardian is insignificant to her. Even in her childhood, her mother taught her to be independent and not to rely on anyone.
But now someone who's not related to her is telling her that she shouldn't burder herself with all the responsibility since she's just a kid and she has a guardian to depend on.
A warm feeling spread throughout her heart with his words alone.
She lowered her gaze which was filled with complicated emotions.
Beside her Kevin was fuming with anger and jealousy. The words Bi Yuhan uttered were the words he had to say to his sister.
She's his responsibility and he's her guardian.
But he can't say that out loud. Because the man is pursuing his sister even when she was disguised as a boy.
If he knew that she's actually a girl, then he can't handle him. He might lose his sister forever.
Another reason he's tolerating the guy is that he helped him a lot from getting away from Red Nation and severing ties with the Smith family.
Bi Yuhan gave him a helping hand when he was suffocating in the darkness and showed him hope.
So he didn't want to say anything overboard. Moreover Mo Ling seems to be listening to his words and obedient. That's a good thing for her. She's not resistant to Bi Yuhan.
"Now go and have some rest." Bi Yuhan ignored the angry look on Kevin and took a look at his watch before saying that to Mo Ling.
Mo Ling was thinking about how to slip away from this house to interrogate Brian when she heard the chance.
Her face brightened a little for a second before returning to normal.
She just assented and got up to go to her room. No one detected her change in expression except for Bi Yuhan.
He narrowed his eyes and stared at Mo Ling's back view until the boy disappeared from his sight.
Then he turned and seriously looked at Kevin, making him nervous.
Kevin sat up straight and clenched his fists over his knees. He averted his eyes and stared stuttering.
"W.. What?"
Bi Yuhan simply shook his head and got up to leave. He knew that even if asked about Mo Ling, Kevin wouldn't say a word.
"We'll talk about the project tomorrow in the office." He left behind his instructions to Secretary Chen and left to go upstairs.
Kevin heaved a sigh of relief after he saw Bi Yuhan leaving without asking a word.
He knew that his friend had so many doubts and questions regarding his relationship with Mo Ling and her mysterious identity.
Fortunately he didn't ask anything. Otherwise he doesn't know how to escape from that situation.
Bi Yuhan came to Mo Ling's room door and knocked on it twice.
After a minute he didn't receive any response and he turned the door knob and entered.
He then saw Mo Ling standing beside the room window with a hesitated look on her face.
"You're going somewhere?" He leaned against the door and asked when he spotted the clothes the boy was wearing.
